Minor note, when connecting this I made the mistake of putting the high pressure side, on the water supply. Even though the water supply is high pressure, that's not the place you want to connect to the In-and-Out fittings. The problem with closing the supply water , is when the valve begins closing, it starts to cut the water pressure that would otherwise hold the valve itself closed, so it would shutter, making a buzzing noise as the valve rapidly opens and closes, because the water pressure that is used to hold the valve closed is removed, when the water supply is closed. . The waste water discharge is also a high pressure area, however when that side is closed, it doesn't cut off the water supply, which allows the product water, or low pressure side of the shut off valve to maintain enough pressure, to hold the valve closed. Closing both product water, and l waste water, will turn off all water flow, just like manually turning off the water supply would. When the water is used and the float valve opens the product water backup, the automatic shut-off valve opens up, and everything begins to flow again. You might want to make a note of that in the video description so someone doesn't make the mistake I did.

I took have had to use the waste line as the HP side not the Carbon side.

I'd like to see a video with a better view of this install but specifically geared to a setup that has a pressure pump and float valve and still needs a install of check valve and auto shut off valve both electronic and hydrolic

Whoever photographed this completely missed the mark. Most actual views in relation to the RO Unit were completely missed. Too bad. Seems like the guy did a good job with the video

What connects to the other two filters out/in ports. You only talked about where the line coming (Blue hose) out of the carbon filter and the line coming in (also a blue hose ) but there are two ports on each end of the filters that you did not explained.

I apologize, I intended for this to be purely plumbing of the ASO - but you have a GREAT point. So the Left (outlet of the DI filter) will have an "OUT" printed in the cap, and would connect to a float valve to block the product stream when full. The Right side on the system (which will have an "IN" printed on the plastic) is where you feed the tap water into the system. Let me know if that makes sense? :D

Hmm... I just started looking at RO system ... and my main issue is the water waste ... I'm assuming this helps with this issue. If I add this auto shut off am I going to need another tank for the float valve?

Hey Steve, so this Automatic Shut off will only stop the waste water, when the product water is 'full' and is being blocked 100% - you can use a float valve, or you can use a ball valve. But something must stop the product water and allow the unit to build pressure in order to finally shut itself off. If waste water is a concern, check out the AquaFX Octopus model, its design allows the end user to adjust the waste water ratio to their desired value. Give us an email at Sales@aquaee.com if you have any questions? Thanks Steve!! :)

So it doesn't attach to to waste line

You are correct. The feed line and the product line go into the ASO. By stopping the feed side, the waste line does not produce.

How do I turn off a fucking rodi system HELP MEE

    • @aquafxpete2056

Hey ORA - So you can shut off the water feeding the RO system at the source, or Install an ASO (like this video) and then the system could be controlled thru a float valve or other device (like solenoid or ball valve), you could also install an electronic solution, such as a electronic float and solenoid combination. Let me know how that works for you? :)
