at 14:21 you mentioned that R=Rs+RL. So doesn't it need to be like R=Rs+RL= 2*delta* sqr(L/C)? Also, you mentioned the initial condition just for the capacitor what about the inductor's initial condition? Shouldn't the Inductor also act as an open circuit for the initial condition?
@@lecturesinelectricaleng What about this question sir "at 14:21 you mentioned that R=Rs+RL. So doesn't it need to be like R=Rs+RL= 2*delta* sqr(L/C)?"
Sir, I am using a 3 phase contactor to switch a 25kvar capacitor at 440V(33A at 440V), can u suggest the right values of capacitor and resistance that can be used as a snubber to supress arc and protect the contacts of the contactor.
sir i have doubt ,at 10.32 design of snubber intial current through capacitor is zero you have not taken capacitor but why considering inductor its intial current also zero
Sir thank you very much.... You are so kind to answer queries both technical & non-technical as well.... India needs more teachers like you who is so much passionate for teaching & helpful for the students.
Sir please correct the circuit diagram. Bcz a thyristor's anod and cathode pin should not be connecte directly without load with the supply voltage. because it's make short circuit. So please sir kindly correct the circuit diagram.😊
@@freshersofbose456 varistor is generally maintaining the anode cathode voltage of scr which is set to a fixed value. If the voltage is very high which might damage the scr then varistor will bypass the extra current and if the voltage value is small then varistor will be open circuited so the proper anode current can be maintained safely. Conclusion: varistor maintaining safer anode cathod voltage across scr due to which anode current can not exceed SCRs max rated current value.
Sir, in buck boost converter if the duty cycle is less than 30% then is it act like a buck converter?
Very good lecture Sir. Thanks 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Sir Abb has developed fuse less Crowbar circuit and snubber circuit, please provide reference book for the same.

Sir in damping ratio formula r=(Rl+Rs) right?... Then why do you take it only as Rs

Good explanation
Sir even though capacitor intial voltage is assumed to be zero but we can't neglect the capacitor kada sir.

Varistor is there so no need of load.
