hi susan! i’m currently a senior in high school who wants to go into elementary education, and i find your videos so enjoyable and helpful! thank you for all you do! ❤
Happy 2024, Susan !!! Keep on hanging in there. Good Friday and Spring Break will be here before you know it and then here you are counting down to the end of the school year. - Dwiht
Happy New Year! The week back after the December break can be hard. There is usually a lot of family and friend get togethers that the break can be really busy. Glad you had some time to relax!
Great ideas. We are doing -dge and -tch with -ing in Phonics First. We are beginning our Character unit in reading. In math we are doing -1 facts and a number sense review. In science we are doing a winter unit.
I am loving how engaging your lessons are. Have you created a video on creating the panel intros and components you showed? I teach ELA and I struggle to make it fun and engaging. Your class looks so fun I want to be in your class 😅.
I love your videos! You are so authentic! Question: Where in the SJT Math club are the worksheets for making 10, and counting on? Thanks for all your good examples and teaching tips!!
Hi. Thank you for your videos. They are very helpful. I am new at teaching 1st grade- I am wondering do you do math rotations or is it a do 123 whole group? I would appreciate your reply. Thanks. Happy new year!!
Happy New Year, Susan! You have shared how students submit their practice sheets. How do you go about checking the sheets and returning them to students? Thanks!
Hi! For checking and grading, I usually just do it quickly throughout the day - thankfully first grade practice sheets don't require too much time to check!
Hi Susan, just curious, do your students have a text on the fairytales also provided by your school? Are you taking the text from their curriculum and pulling in separate read alouds?
Our school has a district-created genre study that they use to help with that read aloud block. Many of the read alouds I will pull from that, but then we supplement with others that continue to teach about that certain genre! So fo fairy tales, I've been pulling from my own collection to talk about different features, compare and contrast, etc.
Hi! I love using your task cards with my firsties. Will these addition to 20 task cards be added to the bundle? I just checked and don't see them there. Thanks for all you do!

Your intro was hilarious and so relatable. You did have a short break! Hopefully you get out earlier for summer? Glad to see your videos again though!
We have a Febraury break and an April break with all the weather up here, so we still don't get out until June 11-12th ish!

Do you know how to play the game, close to 20?
Is that the card game? If so, yes! Such a fun game!
I really appreciate all your information, but you go through everything so fast that it's hard for me to follow you.
