In this video I explain to you what's going on with funky ray and why you cant claim him
This also covers champion Ray and VIP (not 100 percent sure about champion and VIP tho)

He's still obtainable on the Nintendo switch version or definitive version
I think people are still able to obtain VIP with a hack or exploit of some sort but not 100 percent sure I heard it on rayman wiki

i did it on ps3 and soon i will get my hands onto xbox one and get him there too. Tho its not as simple as u think and i dont want to give it to anyone ^-^

Uplay doesn't exist anymore so it's unavaliable, ubisoft has decommissioned the game so it probably won't get any updates as stated in the video.
Uplay is now called ubisoft connect
