You’ve done a great job on these. Look forward to seeing more of them. 👍
Mary Hinge Thank you, will order some more from their webstore and get some on the Kickstarter.
Lovely work mate
Many thanks!
Lovely work. The banners and shields really add to this period. The Ellis Peters Cadfael novels are set in this period too and there is another book called Anarchy, the author escapes me, but that book tells the story of the wars.
Great to see some medievals on your channel! Wonderful work on them Ken!
Thank you kindly
Those are awesome looking, very well done paintjobs!
Thank you
Great stuff, not really a period I would go for.But great figures none the less.
Great looking figures. wonderful work!
cheers
Very nice figures you’ve painted Ken, I’m tempted with the Kickstarter but have loads of projects on the go at the mo. But you are teasing me mate 😂👍
BattleBunkerBlog Gaming Group Your right there is so much good stuff now available.
Love the work on these. They look fantastic. I’m reminded of my old Lego Knights I had back in the 80’s. 😂
I need these for Outremer: Faith and Blood set in the Barons’ War.
Justin Borges Just got my copy. 😃
Excited to get my hands on the Barons Wars rules - thanks for the inspiration, looking forward to seeing the next phase!
Awaiting the 2nd kickstarter and then we'll see what we have.
Awesome banners and splendid painting!
Phil R Cheers
Brilliant!!Love these figures!!
Medieval Warrior Cheers.
Youve done a cracking job ken reallp nice work
basic miniature painting Thank you
Very nice mate
Cheers Leon
Id love to see a faith and blood battle report!
I'm waiting for the second kickstarter figures then I can have a look at what I have.
cool!
Looking great Ken. I think ruleswise it depends on what you are looking for. Outremer and Open Combat work well as a campaign setting watching the warband gain experience etc. So they open up a game within a game.
Paul Richardson That’s what I was thinking.
Yeah I am working my way through the first kickstarter wave and loving the range. I am looking forward to the second kickstarter and I am interested in Andy Hobdays own ruleset which I believe everyone gets if you back the kickstarter
Boots on the Table with Dom Kickstarter backed 😜
Not a era I've looked at before but those look rather tasty painted up I must say.
Lovely work !
I’ll be starting mine soon.
Tell me please, what is the battle mat, and where did you get it from please ?
Cheers 🍺
Cheers the mat is from Cigar box battle mats in the US its called new europe cigarboxbattlestore.bigcartel.com/product/new-europe-4-x6-plus-510 Northstar in the UK used to order them in, give them a ring to check if they still do
Hello. nice miniatures! whats that battlemat?
It's from Cigar Box Battlemats, it's called Europe
They look great. You mentioned that you looked at Outremer rules, so do you think these minis would be suited to Crusades gaming too? They’re great looking figures but quite restrictive if they only get used for Barons Wars. PS. I hope the dogs haven’t destroyed your new lawn.
Matilda and Stephen were at odds 1135, 1st crusade ended 1099 and second crusade began 1144 so probably could do the latter one more closely, although the 1st proper Barons War was in Johns reign in the early 1200.
Just super. Are the shields and banners hand painted?
They were available as transfers and paper banners on the Kickstarter, so pledged for them. The only problem was that they were just a bit to small so I had to match the colours on the borders.
How did you made bases?
25mm x 2mm MDF base with Vallejo Earth texture, dry brushed Citadel Zandri Dust, highlight dry brush Vallejo Iraqui Sand. The a couple of tufts glued on.
Great painting, looking very good. Is there a rulebook out?
Cheers. Not yet, there is a free pdf skirmish set in the kickstarter.
@@TheEccentricMan, that is a pitty. I have no extra money to spent so I have to wait.

@@TheEccentricMan only with credit card
but that era it was not the barons war one it was "the anarchy" isn´t it?
I think your right, but not very much changed I think.
nice mini's but you need to read up on the history if your going to be giving some "facts".
Feel free to fill in my gaps, probably the relationship between Matilda and Stephen I would think.
@@TheEccentricMan Matilda was the Daughter to King Henry I, her elder brother and heir died in a shipwreck leaving her the sole child and so Henry I made her Empress when he died. Many in the country believed a man should have become King and the best claimant was Stephen of Blois, Matilda's cousin.
