I heard many sources about Yoo Ah In's perspective on woman. He always questioned about woman empowerment. Why did woman been treated lesser than a man when it comes to entertainment industry. Then today I see him uplift woman again. How he speak to the director truly shows his respect and high considerations towards woman. He even correct the director when she keep mentioning that she makes mistake. When the director said that she felt sorry for him for being a reason of his body shaping, he then want to stop discussing the topic. I knew he don't want her feeling even more guilty.. Respect, considerate and mature. he is a pretty decent grown up man.🥰
His Chinese interview for other work was less shallow. Korean interviews are always like this - rather than discussing character as a whole interviewers focus on superficial. YAI considers himself a feminist, but also spoke up against witch-like trials of either gender. He's expressed a long-term desire to work with good directors of EITHER gender. To the 'feminism' he is closer to Camille Paglia equality-based approach than rabid 3rd genners with propensity to 'blanket demonized' males. In that regard he is strong, independent and not pressured by others' expectations. I adore him [btw, I am a Western female]
She won best director and he won best actor!! She is a rookie and won against established directors I hope she sees herself more capable and how he sees her! SO HE WAS RIGHT SHE DIDNT MAKE MISTAKES AND IT PAID OFF !! GREAT TEAMMMMMM
Just watched the movie. I agree with YAI in putting on weight to make his character Tae-in more believable as someone who's used to hard labor. It's no joke cleaning up corpses and digging graves for a living. Another superb and memorable screen performance from YAI. Bravo!
too bad the camera aspect was so high for this taping--the participants' faces were mostly obscured. YAI was indeed very respectful and caring to pick the right words and protect the director from pointedness of interviewer's questions. A real gentleman
wow you took a big risk, you put your health in danger, for us, for our pleasure and satisfaction watching a good movie or drama. You came out like a real hero, it was a very tough challenge but you came out victorious. I admire your courage and I respect you a lot. In the future plz take care of yourself keep healthy for us.
