A sofa bed for the daughter and a large space with 2 beds for the guests. Plus the light fixture for other people to view through the window. And an all beige interior, because that’s what everyone does. I think this house was built with people in mind who are not living in the house
@@fiddlersthree8463 There probably is another bathroom for the guest suite. I don't think there is just the one bathroom that is shown here, which four of them are already sharing.
I love the home, its elegant yet family friendly. I find monotones relaxing but I would add some more touches of colorful furnishings. Only one bathroom is a deal breaker.
It is lovely downstairs. Leave the little daughter the attic bedroom, or swap with sister! Loved the little wall lights. Who cares what’s visible from the street. Close the curtains or if they’re too sheer install blinds too.
This home is an absolute triumph! Bravo 👏 I love the simplicity, high quality natural materials and thoughtfulness. It have my lots of ideas for our renovation.
I love the dining table, the headboard idea in the master bedroom, and the bench cushion sofa. Also nice monochromatic bathroom. Very warm feeling from this minimalist home. That is why one hires a designer - they keep everything coherent to an overall idea and a feel of the whole home.
@@EditorknowsbestIt does to me too. The plan was to make the attic room the master, and then the homeowner just decided “nah”, too many stairs, don’t like the ceiling line, whatever. Would rather just stick the youngest daughter in a closet than compromise on her own wants.
Love the decor but one bathroom for 4? And a sofa bed for the daughter doesn’t seem to make sense especially given how much was obviously spent but it’s not my house so… 🥰
Not my house either but I would've turned the giant guest bedroom into my sanctuary with a full bath. Imagine family of four and guests...and one bath.. oi😅! All that said, it is just stunningly decorated😊!
Hallelujah! Finally, a non-white kitchen. Beautiful home. Love the archway in the entry, but if feels so narrow in scale relative to the open spaces on the rest of the main floor.
The vestibule and archway are a blessing. They build new infills with this particular layout. Presumably economic use of space but I cannot stand seeing the entire house from the entryway. Not to mention the draft on my ankles.
What a lovely renovation. The only changes I would have made is antique brass tapware and fittings in the bathroom instead of black, for a softer look - and I would have made the bathroom cabinets a similar colour to the down stairs dining chairs….again to soften the look. Also I would replace the wardrobe sliding doors in the primary bedroom with proper floor to ceiling doors. Would look so much better.
I think when the oldest daughter grows some more she will likely want a larger room which is the room on the top floor with two beds and her room will become the youngest daughter room. This set up usually is temporary with growing children. But yea a sofa bed seems a bit uncomfortable for the child.
I do love the your NEUTRAL; calm, soft and light color scheme. This will be timeless. I love the bell light fixture-I have a older look drum light that needs to be replaced. I have a round dining room table so I want a round, large light fixture.
I have two under 5 and a big white dog so keeping things clean is a constant battle. I have a light coloured Ruggable that I was a few times a year and an almost white couch where I can remove and wash the covers. As long as I can remove and was soft furnishing it really doesn’t matter what colour they are!
It's not about the color is about the fabric. Most high quality fabrics are weather and dirt resistant, and you can easily wipe out even wine spills with a cloth. Another way is to get washable sofa covers, which I personally prefer. 😘
This is just lovely, so many beautiful little moments, and the artwork in the dining room is mesmerising, I can’t remember the name for the style (with lines) but would love to know who this particular artist is if anyone knows? Although I’m in Australia and guessing this may be a Canadian artist. Love that the husband has the guitar and vinyl too - lovely touches.
These houses are no doubt gorgeous, and while the whole point of these design channels is to showcase well styled and designed homes, they seem inauthentic. I am a home design enthusiast, but I find myself lately, more and more turning away from these home design concepts. While I enjoy watching these homes, I'm looking more to homes that I can relate to. Open design kitchens are beautiful, but the problem with them is that the VAST majority of us don't live in magazine covers. With an open kitchen, you have to keep it minimal and well styled at all times so that it doesn't take away from the look of the rest of the house, since the entire look is integrated. I prefer a separate eat-in kitchen that you will find with older homes which haven't had all of their walls in the living spaces knocked down. I want a kitchen where I can keep all of my useful appliances out in the open. I want the toaster oven, mixer, and my blender out all times because I use them heavily. I want to keep out all of my baking bowls. I want to keep my kitchen as functional as possible. Also, if I am too tired to clean up the kitchen mess after a long day, I want to walk away without having it all in view. My current house has been designed with an open concept, but I find myself disliking more and more. I am already looking forward to buying my next home that is not as open, and functions more efficiently for a real family.
Failing to consider the scale and proportions of furniture and decor can lead to an unbalanced or awkward-looking space. The designer really ensures that pieces are appropriately sized for the rooms. 💯💯
The daughter’s bedrooms are completely underwhelming, especially the smaller one. My daughters are not much older, and this makes me sad. All of this wasted space on a guest bedroom while the youngest is sleeping on a sofa 😔 Given the money that was clearly spent, they should have made the top floor a master bed and bath, and let the girls have the second floor to themselves. Relegate the tiny room to a guest bedroom. I guess this woman just didn’t want to climb another flight of stairs so that her daughter could have a decent bedroom?
Beautiful home but ONE bathroom for FOUR people ...and possibly guests!!!🤯 Girls grow up and will need... uh hmmm "privacy" 😳and guarantee guests will NEVER overstay their welcome! 😂😂

Some space from the guest space could have been sacrificed to make a second bathroom.

You had me until you said all four of you share one bathroom. 😂

Nice design, but poor Eva! 🥲
All these renovations look identical, all great but would love to see some eclectic, collected, interiors for a change
Historicness is not a word

I literally used the guest room as a pallette for my master bedroom. It is breath taking.
bummer for the youngest daughter...
I know, right? Why can't the guests get the tiny crammed room and youngest get top floor? It just feels a little too Cinderella-ish for me.
I said the same thing.
@@EditorknowsbestIt does to me too. The plan was to make the attic room the master, and then the homeowner just decided “nah”, too many stairs, don’t like the ceiling line, whatever. Would rather just stick the youngest daughter in a closet than compromise on her own wants.
Why didnt she make the top suite a room for both girls and convert the youngest girls bedroom into another bathroom?
because the girls are almost teenagers and they need their own space. Who would want to share a room with their sibling.?

Love the softness in this design, calm and relaxing.
Fabulous home and incredible change. Thank you capturing and allowing us to see your lovely home❤❤
The favorite daughter has the nicest bedroom :)

Not sure about 4 sharing a bathroom! I couldn't do that even on holiday!

Gorgeous! While neutral, there is so much interest!
Love the corner of records
Fabulous and cozy home.
Love that table and chair set!
A beautiful home! 😊
Very tasteful.
Two upholstered chairs at the dining table ends will allow seating for 10 and add a nice detail.
Gorgeous project! I just would have totally concealed the kitchen, however - and with no island whatsoever. I'm not a fan of open kitchens.
Youngest daughter gets a sofa, guests get the top floor suite with 2 double beds. Moms design fixation has clouded her judgment.
Yikes!
Not to mention the one bathroom for the whole house....I found that very odd...Otherwise it's a lovely house.
@@jessicacassar I am sure there's another bathroom for the guest suite.

So calm and lux
Love the double waterfall. Why are designers saying waterfalls are passé?
GORGEOUS!! ❤
Where is the painting in the dining room from? Very cool
„For easy family living“ - the thumbnail: a huge cream colored rug and a white couch 😂🙈

Choose the performance fabric. Some stores even give you a warranty on them

Huge Lorelei Gilmore vibes!
Beautiful and comfortable home ❤

Superchannel Thank you❤❤❤
I love this! Great job.
Beautifully thought out home. Neutral and peaceful. Can you share where you purchased your art work in dining room and family room?
Very beautiful! I did the same thing, excluding the ceiling. The walls and trim are Timeless by Clare Paint. It helps my 2 story townhome feel taller.

Beautiful home!

Fabulous
Just stunning! So well done. When can I move in? 😎
One bathroom?
Love it!!!🤩
It's pretty, but thinking in the perspective of the person who has to clean those chandeliers...
Where is this amazing couch from!!
"Always thinking of what you see from the outside" bruh.....like seriously?

soo dreammyy 😍😍
I like the White sofa concept, any link to seller’s website ?
Where did they get that huge mortar & pestle
Love the sofa!! Where did you get that from?

What are the dimensions of this house? I’m trying to think about a similar layout for my reno but not sure of the size.

Why are you gasping for air?
Its not bad, but it lacks charm. It reminds me of a Malibu home in the 80s.
All the houses in your channel look exactly the same
The content has been extremely boring lately, all the same and non inspiring!!!!
Meanwhile, other designers are redisovering colour.
👍✅👍
This home is stunning. Bravo!
Beautiful home and family
Beautiful home! Would love to know where the brass ceiling light fixture in the main bedroom is from please?
