On thing, I can advice you,you should first consult land use master plan and respect lakes and river buffer zone. And apply erosion control measures. For $3500-$6500 you can buy 1 hectare of agriculture land in rural area.
Where is that location in Rwanda? Near water doesn't describe a lot. That water is from which lake or which river? I think when you do this work, you need to make a small space description firstly. For me, due to the lack of basic informations, it is under average.

Thank you for your videos. I grew up around farms, forests and streams in the Northeast of the USA, where we were constantly on the lookout for snakes, some of them very poisonous. Do you have to worry much? Also, our farms had furrows running across the hill to catch more water, and a tall berm near the water so that the water didn't get muddy. Are you planting in furrows or do you scatter the seed?

We don't have a lot of snakes here and it's also hard to find it here in Rwanda. We do both here whether planting furrows or scatter the seeds
