For anyone who's unfamiliar with the sternum rub, it's used to get an unconscious person to respond by using pain as a stimulus. It does not open up airways. Either way I'm glad the homeowner and the senator were able to help the delivery driver.
I’m a nurse and I’d like to reiterate that to anyone ready. Get CPR training. It’s a quick course and you can save the life of a stranger or a family member.
It’s so refreshing to hear a story like this..bittersweet ,but it’s good to know there are still good people out there …..Fed X guy. You’re in my prayers. 🙏🙏✌️💜💙💜🇺🇸🇺🇸
Forget the breaths. Push hard at a rate of 100 compressions per minute. After calling for help and making sure that you’re in a safe area. If you do it right, you could possibly break ribs. Don’t worry about that.
I was just getting ready to say that. If you feel uncomfortable doing the breaths, do compressions. I did that for a guy, and he actually lived. The guy passed out and was doing agonal breathing. I started compressions I kept thinking he was going to get up and cuss me out, but I kept compressing. Once the paramedics got there, they took over. I just knew he was gone, but I found out he lived. So do compressions even if you don't want to do the breaths.
Commenting to bump OP’s message. As mentioned, ribs may break; you really want to use firm pressure bc you’re essentially pumping for the heart muscle and it’s encased by the rib cage. The pressure you need to be effective will likely feel too rough, but you want to compress the chest by about 2 inches. Use your body weight into your arms to help pump and count out loud, 100-120 pumps per minute. So, about 2 per second. They’re going to wear you out: if alone, go as long as you’re able and take turns if others are around to help.
And so I believe whatever agency puts out the CPR instructions, had not too long ago changed them to discard the breathing part and do the chest compressions only. I’m not sure at what rate.
They knew what to do, they were in the right place right time. And still you give credit to magical sky daddy, in your mind it wasn't two people that help save the guy. It was that hidden guy in the clouds.....

I’m glad there are still good men out there to help others in these sorts of situations!
Good luck big guy and get well soon. you have my prayers.
Praise God that you were there for him.
Humans helped him, not your invisible friend who lets babies get cancer.
God still put him in intensive care for days which will cost $200K
@@justayoutuber1906God has nothing to do with that . Shame on you. I suppose you hate God. Jesus died for any who will call on his name I hope you call out for him . At the end of the day America is governed by tyrants and God gives free will . He also says that he will repay the wicked the Bible actually says he opposes those to oppress the poor there is scripture on that .

Oh wow! Thank God those men were there and cared! Praying the delivery guy has a quick and full recovery! 🙏🙏🙏
FedEx drivers work too many hours under sun heat. Lucky the owner at home and help him
I don't think this was heat-related. It might have been from an unknown medical condition, or lack of sleep.
Why do you keep saying you don't think it was heat-related???@@gseric4721

Another reason why WFH and remote working should.not be discontinued in favor of return to office.

Angels among us…..& watching over this man🕊️it’s a miracle these men were there to help him & save his life🤍
Poor guy! Bless y’all for helping!
Thank God for these guys!
❤️🩹 ~ Blessings to these two neighbors who saved this man's life ... 🕊️ 🙏 🪽 and, most importantly a complete recovery for the FedEx driver who is currently in the ICU 🏥
From everyone who has ever needed help, thankyou.
A lot of things had to go right for this miracle to occur. Glad it did.
Good job ! Praying he is fine!
THOSE ARE GOOD NEIGHBORS🎉🎉🎉 THANK YOU..
For anyone who's unfamiliar with the sternum rub, it's used to get an unconscious person to respond by using pain as a stimulus. It does not open up airways. Either way I'm glad the homeowner and the senator were able to help the delivery driver.
Been there done that, its definitely life changing, everyday is truly a gift
God bless the driver for a full recovery and the amazing men that helped him.
I’m a nurse and I’d like to reiterate that to anyone ready. Get CPR training. It’s a quick course and you can save the life of a stranger or a family member.
As a fellow nurse I can’t agree more!!!
It’s so refreshing to hear a story like this..bittersweet ,but it’s good to know there are still good people out there …..Fed X guy. You’re in my prayers. 🙏🙏✌️💜💙💜🇺🇸🇺🇸
Praying 🙏 for this man's recovery!!
Thank you for saving his life God will bless you always
His manger: those packages aren't going to deliver themselves. Get back to work.
Pretty much.
Sad, but true.
Yep. Didn't a delivery driver get fired last year for leaving her truck unattended after having to go to the hospital?
@@kimpatterson7571wtf where at !?
Exactly!
I worry so much about these drivers in this miserable and dangerous heat….thank goodness these men saved this man ♥️♥️ I pray he recovers
I hope that he has a speedy recovery.
Fabulous! I love hearing the good stuff. Thank goodness there are people still willing to help others no matter what
God bless these gentleman 🙏
Wow! I hope the driver is ok . And thank God both men came out to help… all these delivery drivers work extra hard for us and deserve our respect
@@cardiac711You’re an absolutely incredible human. 🫶🏻

Thank you, Senator! So glad you knew what to do & cared enough to do it!
I give God the glory for those men being at the right place at the right time. Thank you Lord for saving that young man. There are no coincidences.
They knew what to do, they were in the right place right time. And still you give credit to magical sky daddy, in your mind it wasn't two people that help save the guy. It was that hidden guy in the clouds.....
@@spencers4121 It is unfortunate that you feel the need to bash someone with a Christian worldview. I would prefer to peacefully disagree. Enjoy your day 🙂
Great job! Praying for this man to make a full recovery!!🙏🙏

Having the guts to get in there and save a man’s life! You’re the best 👌♥️
Thank God he was home! You don't know how many houses don't have anyone home when i was delivering. Could have been laying down for along time

God's works in so many wonderful ways. PITTSBURGH STRONG!!!!!
It is always always so heart fulfilling when I see videos like this two people in the right place at the right time and a Senator ta boot , amen 🥰💪🏼🇺🇸😇 thank you for saving his life he’s a son husband father and brother to someone and someone’s pal 🥰
Won't be surprised if that driver gets fired for having the audacity to suffer a major medical emergency on the clock. My heart goes out to package delivery drivers because they're so essential, but their job sucks.
I'm sure the senator will have his back.
FedEx Boss: How dare you lie down on the job, kick kick, Get up, Get up I say, Your Fired. Boss leaves him there and proceeds to drive off in the delivery truck.
I worked in the delivery logistics business for 30 years, on and off, in different positions. The clients using delivery services, and the owners of delivery businesses, for the most part look upon drivers as a disposal liability and cannon foder for abuse and humiliation.
There was a mail carrier that died of a possible heat related illness last year while delivering his route in Texas. The mail trucks (LLV) don’t have air conditioning in them. I’m not sure if the mail carrier had a mounted route or a walking route.

they work them so damn hard. 10 hours a day in the summer time. they have to fight for AC in the fleets. just remember to thank your drivers if you have the chance and maybe leave out some water for them.

Caffeine dehydrates you. Repeat: caffeine dehydrates you!
Do not repeat it or soda companies will sue you for misinformation. There is a reason caffeine allergy was downsized as a caffeine intolerance, as if it was an individual condition.
Though the caffeine in coffee may have a diuretic effect, it's unlikely to dehydrate you. For caffeine to have a significant diuretic effect, studies show that you need to consume more than 500 mg per day - or the equivalent of 5 cups (40 ounces or 1.2 liters) of brewed coffee ( 12 , 13 , 14 ).Dec 11, 2019 As long as you drink the recommended amount of water - you will be fine.
What makes a true hero is great deeds of strength of bravery, it's walking away with the job well done and NOT expecting praise and admiration for what you did.
FedEx ground are contractors. Their vans don't have AC and most don't even have health insurance.
amazon are contractors w a van ups are highly paid usps not as much fed ex some paid well
Huge kudos to both! The Senator said it best, know basic first aide and CPR!
Ups and all delivery companies need to be made too install A/Cs in their trucks. I dont care what the excuses are, these guys work hard and according to scientists it's getting hotter
Everybody should quit complaining about the heat before UPS start hiring Mexicans. They're already working out in the sun picking vegetables and repairing roofs.
@@justtubing767 spoken like a true republican. God forbid a 100+ billion dollar company spends a little bit of extra money for driver safety instead of lining their pockets
Praise the Lord
