When I tried mine (BabylissPro Gold FX) at the shop the first day I was immediately impressed when doing the back hairline, but as soon I tried dragging them down the cheek for the top beard line they tugged hard and I got a bit worried seeing as my "hitter" SlimLine Pros have literally _NEVER_ done that! I pushed on and then they tugged again as I was dragging them at the temple for the "c-cup" and I put them down for good and brought them home for personal use as I find any discomfort caused by the machine to be unacceptable for my clientele. Great review, and thank you! I want these FX3 trimmers, but I think I'll have to stick with my the SlimLine for now...

Why would you put a gtx blade on the babyliss trimmer? I have the gold fx and it is a great trimmer. So of this new trimmer is shaper that is just bananas. When I hear people putting different blades from different manufacturers, it makes me think the original blade is not good

I am feeling so insecure about starting, I finished school got my lics last month and now built my garage shop, waiting on a friends shop to open and go to work with him but insecure about asking folks over to practice cutting... Help, I know you can't fix it for me just venting. If I where there i would be shadowing you for sure...

Fx3 way too sharp. Will cut someone fosho! + @$150, not worth the headache. Shame on babyliss for making such a dangerous tool out the box. Lawsuits are on the horizon! FX2 best all around trimmer. Like you said, "worth the hype!"
