Betsy Rose has sung her way into countless hearts and spirits around the world in her fifty years as a singer, writer, community song leader, and “Artivist”. Her music has long been recognized for its depth, beauty and heart, as she weaves poetic meaning into the issues of our times, and of the timeless journey of being human.
Betsy says
My new songs and poetry are born in response to a call --urgent, sacred and deep--that many are hearing in our deepest being.
A call from Earth, and perhaps the entire Cosmos, to respond in heartfelt, brave, creative ways to what humanity has never before faced.
And we need a new music, a new language for hearts and minds being stretched beyond capacity. We need to be in community as we share together our grief, fear, and confusion, and reimagine our visions of the world to come

Singing Into the Unknown responds to central questions for humanity, as we face the possible collapse of living natural systems and geopolitical structures:
•How do we want to inhabit this unprecedented era in our evolutionary journey?
•What beliefs and views guide us?
• What is being asked of us, and what are our spiritual resources, tools and practices?
Betsy draws on diverse spiritual traditions, including her Protestant roots as a minister’s daughter. Her world view is deeply grounded in Buddhist practice and her long association with spiritual and thought leaders, including Joanna Macy and Thich Nhat Hanh.
