Turtles and fishes of Palakkad Fort.........

The Palakkad Fort is said to have existed from ancient times. It was rebuilt in the present form by Sultan Hyder Ali in 1766 A D. It is one of the best preserved forts in India.
There is a moat surrounding the Fort which is inhabited by many types of fishes and turtles. They make it a point to be near the bridge that crosses the moat to nibble on every morsel the tourists feed them.
