My sun also happens to be in the 8th house of scorpio. Let's see...my childhood was very lonely, that's for sure. I was very quiet and would keep to myself because I felt as though I was different or didn't get along with the other kids. They thought I was stuck up, but that definitely was not the case. I became more social as I aged but noticed how intimidated people are by me (if around my age). Most people won't approach me unless they're very confident or from my experience, if they're also pluto types. Probably because they can sense the same intensity ad understand it. I try to make less eye contact for the shyer ones because they look like they want to shit their pants or end up looking at the floor or side...anything to avoid my gaze. Stares everywhere I go. I believe the later the degrees of a sign the stronger the aspect of that sign. you have passed through the whole of the aspect. ie 0 to 30, 0 being the weakest and 30 being the strongest.

Same here! My basis for saying that is that Pisces, like Scorpio, have access to subconscious patterns of actions. Each can see the "why" of what they do (when Pisces has Pluto rising). But Pisces can more easily detach themselves from associations with the "why" - like childhood fears leading to an aggressive persona - and abstain from the desire for revenge, or retribution. Bring up the moment in question, feel the pain as though it were happening again, and then heal the self through understanding and forgiveness. Like the adult you, hugging the child you in that moment and telling that child, "you are worthy, you are loved." It really works.

I have it too. I use to say Life has it´s ups and downs. People often agree to that cliche without understanding a word, lol. I have a lot of life-crises where I discover I probably have been mean and overwhelming, most often verbally or emotionally cruel. His death transformed me for good and bad. I’m trying to raise my vibrations and be more conscious of myself and my environment. I love the concept of transformation and rebirth. I have Jupiter on the 8th house cusp. As I get older I get wiser.

This is so true and I think if I didn't have my Pluto conjunction I would not classify myself as a Scorpio ascendant. I am a really late scorpio ascendant (the 29th degree) with Pluto in Sagittarius
I believe the later the degrees of a sign the stronger the aspect of that sign. you have passed through the whole of the aspect. ie 0 to 30, 0 being the weakest and 30 being the strongest.

thank you! I have pluto in scorpio in the 12th conjuncting my scorpio asc and conjuncting my mars in scorpio in the 1st house (mars also conjuncts my asc). Sun in sag in the 1st with an aries moon. Despite the challenges and feeling like I've lived hundreds of lives (and I'm only a little older than a quarter century), I'm very much of an empath. I'm learning to use my intensity and ability for transformation for the good of people and myself (although there's nothing scary to me about the dark side to Pluto). It isn't easy. Pushing myself to open up to people consistent in my life, who I've separated from the "light weights," has been one of my biggest challenges. But it's proven to be the most transformative. Because then I realise that I'm really not so different. I am human, after all.

I have a difficult placement with Pluto in my 12th house conjunct Jupiter. It looks like if I move to certain parts of Europe, Pluto would move to my first house. Curious how that placement could affect my natal Uranus that would still be remaining in my first house. So much to learn about astrology!

I've read that it indicates self righteousness and superiority issues though I really don't have that at all...but it more manifests for me through white or black relationships..I read that pluto square the ascendant is bad for relationships...that you might crave attachment and appreciation but you only get stuck in power struggles or worse be ignored, and yes that's been the main theme of my romantic encounters...I do intend to be alone. Pluto is in my ninth.

When its just inside the twelfth, then your approach will be a bit less here and now. More dream like but intense. Within 3 degrees read the first house though also read the twelfth.

I'm Leo sun and have Pluto conjunct my asc, and I know I'm can be pretty intense at times :) I have Uranus and Jupiter hanging out there too ;)
I don't mind feeling intensely or even acting or speaking intensely, at-times. What I am trying to learn how to trans-form is what others call "vibes or "aura". I don't want anyone to feel fear, confusion or vulnerability of any kind because of what they "feel" from me. If I am putting out dark, controlling or unsavory "vibrations", I am certainly unaware of it, consciously, but you said yourself, that Pluto can not be thought of rationally.
So, given that Pluto conjunct Asc. does emanate these intense or deep-probing "vibes", how do we deal with it? I used to think that merely ethical behaviour and manners were enough. Apparently, that is not the case. How do I stop transmitting? By increasing Saturn to contain and restrict my auric field? Is that even enough?
Finally a good explanation of how people perceive me. I don't have to do or say anything for them to have imediate judgement.

Same here! My basis for saying that is that Pisces, like Scorpio, have access to subconscious patterns of actions. Each can see the "why" of what they do (when Pisces has Pluto rising). But Pisces can more easily detach themselves from associations with the "why" - like childhood fears leading to an aggressive persona - and abstain from the desire for revenge, or retribution. Bring up the moment in question, feel the pain as though it were happening again, and then heal the self through understanding and forgiveness. Like the adult you, hugging the child you in that moment and telling that child, "you are worthy, you are loved." It really works.

Why do you think this Kristen. Any sources stating this that you can share or just from experience. Asking cos I've got Sun, Mercury and borderline Jupiter in the 12th house.
Check out Alan Oken's work on esoteric astrology. He says that the esoteric ruler of Pisces is Pluto. (soul-level. meaning one who is engaged in the work of understanding true intent, spiritual purpose for being in the world, beyond the mundane personality.) I would say that your identification with your ego is rather diminished compared with most people. You can identify subconscious impulses, as well as disassociate yourself with the chattering mind and the emotional body. Without knowing anything else, I see a strong possibility in you for a spiritual destiny involved with healing dissonance - in people, places...? You can find these things out most authentically through thoughtless meditation. Love to you on your journey.
