I love seeing the children, learning and practicing their family's traditions. This is so rare these days! Thank you for showing us around Mongolia and learning more about the diversity and vast world of Mongolia.
these videos always make me smile. i love that the people who stopped by got invited to come back for the meal, and the little kid is incredibly cute. that meat has like zero fat. the fur must be extra warm to handle all that cold weather. also, i have that brand gochujang in my fridge right now. it's good stuff.
That Teepee was awesome! I am part native American and it was really cool to see a teepee there in Mongolia. We must share the same ancestors. I have actually had reindeer meat before it is very good. Very nice video!
Especially how they cooked sheep organ meat and made it into something delicious. Now I'm wondering why animal organs aren't really popular with western butchers or recipes. Perfect for burgers, pizza, pie you name it.
@@joshishere96 Organ meat is great! I prefer Korean BBQ over western styles just because they usually at least have tripe. As a Mexican I grew up on menudo, beef stomach stew. Super hearty and nutritious! I think what throws people off is the honeycomb internal texture of many organ meats, and the strong flavor. Grain fed beef tends to be bland, so the flavor of sweetmeats can seem overpowering and even fishy to some. But it should still be wayyy more popular. It's good for you and tasty too
@@cassiacana5335 if the aftertaste throws people off something is wrong with them. I mean if people can handle oysters, muscles, anchovi organ meat shouldn't really be a big deal. Because those are examples of strong flavours with aftertaste people eat.
@@joshishere96 For real 👏. I call tripe the seafood of the land lmao, it tastes kinda fishy and I love it. It's perfect in a beef pho for that reason. And it's super packed with nutrition!

Reminds me so much of my time in interior Alaska. Beautiful scenery and such kind folks. Never did get comfortable driving on the ice but I certainly enjoyed the reindeer and moose we ate. We always had much smaller pieces of meat, but it was always delicious any way it was cooked. Really enjoy all your videos! Thanks for sharing!!

@@eaststorm1282 Nice. Do you ever feel all languages are totally different to Mongolian? I've looked at the linguistics and the lexis of Mongolian and it is totally unique to any language I've ever come accross, including Turkic and Tungusic languages. To a foreigner like me, It just seems totally bizarre, exotic and unrecognizable. Even the way it is spoken, with the lack of vowels and the "whispery" sound; the unique "L" sound, sounds so unique to evverything else. Do you feel the same way about all other languages? Do other languages sound strange to Mongolian people?

Looks amazing... My pops says that deer is delicious. Less fatty than other meats but it tastes richer, almost sweet. Have not tried it myself... Living in Southern California is nice for the weather and the opportunities but nature is almost nonexistent here and "city people" scorn at our beliefs and lifestyle. Really want to go back to my roots. Might have to go to Mongolia for that! 😎😎
No matter where you are in the world, everyone goes for the tastiest pieces first…the crunchy skin with all of the flavor! I loved how the older man went in for the marrow too! Great vid! Stay safe and God Bless

Another great video! I'm curious about that traditional knife that's being used in a lot of the videos, what is it called? I'd like to learn more about it.
it is just called the Mongol knife - a straight and narrow blade with groove for blood to drain and relieve the pressure. handle is made from horn, antler or wood and can be covered with silver ornaments. there is always a sheath which is made from wood and wrapped in silver.

There has been genetic research and you are correct the First Nations and Mongolians are ancestors and related.
However the Reindeer people are from Russia originally not related.
Funny, because native Americans are from siberia mongols.
한국 양념들이 저렇게 맛있게 사용되는걸 보니 몽골과 한국이랑 입맛이 비슷한가 봅니다~
