I tried the oil. It lubricates fine (how could it not?), but I’m going back to grease for two reasons. I don’t like the extra weight to the boat using the oil. It’s heavier than you might think. Also, I’m pretty sure that the pedals spin faster, and feel easier with grease.

I could see that being the case. Never thought of the extra resistance from the oil though. Is it quieter with the oil?

What size was that Allen long wrench you used for the crank arm?
It came with the drive when it was new. I am unsure of what size it is.
