Let me share my experience of the first time I saw Aradhana back in 1974, just 5 years after the film was released. I was a teenager, 14 years old. In those days in Nigeria, where I come from, cinema halls were built such that half of the hall was roofed and the other half was open - no roofing! So when it rains audience in the open section all rush to the roofed section to avoid being beaten by the heavy downpour! I was riveted to the happenings on the screen through the whole film, my cloths drenched by the heavy downpour! Who cares! I was lost in the beautiful world of Rajesh Khanna and Sharmila Tagore in Aradhana! Today I'm 62 years old and I still relive that experience with joy in my heart!

I am now 62 years old now. The Hindi film AARADHANA was the first Hindi film I saw in 1970 in HMT Auditorium, Bangalore with my cousin. Really even today the songs are nostalgia.
We were in secondary school but we took it like growing men, the 10 lashes at the assembly the following morning in front of the whole of all students for being not on the bed during lights out, rather than miss out on seeing Aradhana.
Yes, we knew the punishment to come and we considered it beneath missing Aradhana because only God knew when it would come back to our cinema theatre in our city again.
Ironically, we were adolated by other students for our "bravery"

When I was 10 year age in Tamil Nadu, Thanjavur I used to listen this song in the radio. Under the influence of the this film there were naming the male children Rajesh in tamil nadu at that time.. After becoming adult I couldn't remember when I saw this film. From 1984 I lived in Delhi for 20 years. By knowing the meaning of the song mostly I appreciate the meaningful lyrics, music, singing and action. Happy days. Nostalgic. 20-2-23.

I saw this movie , when I was young at the age of 15 . This film was running in the famous theatre of Madurai Meenakshi at Madurai. During vacanational leave on summer holidays, my elder sister and her husband were recommended to see this fantastic movie. Aradhana film was given message for romantic, heroism, love, beautiful hill station sceneries, mother sacrifice. One more important thing is this film indicated every born man in India do dedicated their life for fighting India's freedom struggle .

Nobody knew with this Aalap, in this movie both Kishore Kumar and Rajesh Khanna would instantly become the SUPERSTARS of their fields. Rajesh Khanna became the FIRST Superstar of Indian cinema after Aradhana while Kishore Kumar the KING of all Bollywood singers from 1969 to 1987 when he died at 57. KK had NO competition and NO parallel in those 18 years, neither did he need any propaganda to call him VOICE OF GOD. Everyone from Rajesh Khanna to Amitabh wanted Kishore Kumar. I think this movie was taken on Kodak (Eastman color) which, provides a super fine grain whereby even nowadays HD's could Not cope it. The song, it is already heard in 2 centuries. I guess it can be heard till the next Century. 👍🏻 👌🏻
