I graduated from Denver South high in 1971, in the Navy from 1971-1975 and when I came back these image memories is what I saw. The "Urban Renewal" project in the downtown area that started in the late 1960s was showing. The then new Mountain Bell building in an earlier part of this video series is one of the buildings where my mom worked in the Yellow Pages office. I still remember these old businesses shown.
I'm homesick for the 70s back in 1973 i must have worked at every movie theater on 16th street fox theater Joe cocker was playing mad dogs and englishmen 16th street mall and there was a cop buster's snyder standing at the corner over and over and over again each videos

Denver was and is such a cool city. Back in the 70s, it was a surprise around every corner. The surprises are still there, tho not as much fun.

When we only had 303 area code...arrived in '77, so recognized most of these scenes. Missed those relaxed, less populated days.

That picture of the Orpheum theater is from Wichita, Kansas. The building and the theater is still here!
I was going to say. Not that I knew it was Wichita, just that I never heard of an Orpheum Theater in Denver.
Very cool. I love the sign that offers to provide you with a Polaroid camera AND film to take nude pictures of nude models at some club!
