    I like burning loose incense or resin when doing some longer work/spells as when it starts to burn out I can just add more. I use stick and cone incense for quick meditation or a short work.

      Nice! I typically don’t use ready made incense for magic perfection raw, natural and purpose made. I do however adore using stick and rope incenses to aroma infuse my home.

    Fantastic Avalon... now that you've made this video it's strange to me that nobody made it before 😅 I use crushed pieces of pumice stone in the bottom of my cauldron or censer to sit my charcoal on for a little extra heat proofing. I also use old blunt eyebrow tweezers as tongs, they just work best for me. I'm so glad a level headed witch like you is putting solid information like this out there! Definitely keep going with making these type of videos 😎💕🙌

    • @AvalonCameron
      @AvalonCameron  4 роки тому

      Thanks mate! I love the pumice stone idea. How does it fair under the heat? I’m curious. And I’ve even used chopsticks 🥢 in a pinch. Gotta love the innovation behind witches hey!

    • @Gemmagic84
      @Gemmagic84 4 роки тому

      Avalon Cameron the pumice pieces work really well, I’ve been doing it for a while. Pumice has those little holes in it for the heat to escape from, maybe that’s why? I just bring it home from the beach, leave it out in the rain for a while and after it dries I hit it with a hammer 🔨 and cover the bottom of my heat proof receptacle. It’s also the best and only thing I use to exfoliate dead skin off my feet, teehee 🙃 I’m editing to add that I use different pieces of pumice on my feet and in my cauldron 😅

    Hi Avalon,
    I would much appreciate a video on an alternative. I do all my witchy working in the house, mostly in the basement, and I love my loose incense I make, but I can’t burn the disk in the basement because there are no windows. Upstairs, I always set off my smoke alarm. The smoke alarm is connected with my security system and risk the fire department showing up every time it goes off. This was great content! Thx

    HELLO GORGEOUS!
    I use the bamboo disk...and because they are smaller brick style I use a mesh piece hovering over the brick to burn my resins...I have asthma so I only burn resins...herbs burning smell too much like weed to me...now since I dont have an outside space anymore I cant burn anything...I now make some resin sprays to cleanse my home and myself every day especially b4 going outdoors...but someday soon I will burn some magik again...thank you for this back to basics 101....you gave a lot of good info others tend to miss...Goddess blessings 💚

    • @irishcladdagh3
      @irishcladdagh3 4 роки тому

      @@AvalonCameron it takes just a few xtra mins longer, they are small thick brick size and so tongs are really needed to hold but they smoke just the same but burn just about the same time frame as the traditional disk

    Please continue with these instructional videos. I am very new to Wicca and am in the process of learning all I can about it. I have a natural calling towards it. I'm absolutely fascinated by anything and everything that has to do with it. As I said I am in the learning stages to see if I am on the correct path for some reason the more I learn the more know that I am. Your channel is extremely helpful. I'm not sure what type of oil is used when you have dry herbs that represents certain qualities for example protection. I know there is a formula with what types of herbs you would use in a bottle but what about the type of oil? Perhaps you can steer me in the right direction. I so enjoy your channel.
    I am wishing you light and positive vibes from my home to yours! Thank you for sharing.💕

      If you have half burned charcoal disc you can pour a little parafine candle wax over it and it will burn once more. Just a little though or you’ll have a fire ball.

    (I found your channel through Jessica Star the story witch).
    I recently tried burning myrrh resin (instead of normal incense) for the first time and I was astonished how quickly it burned. Is it normal that you have to put on new resin a few times during one cleansing or ritual or is there a trick to it to make it burn longer?

    • @AvalonCameron
      @AvalonCameron  4 роки тому +1

      Yes it is. Typically you go through about 2 to 3 tablespoons of ingredients depending on the work you are doing. House cleansing and clearings are usually heavy on smoke and so we typically go through quite a bit of material.
