What's with all the negative comments?
I haven't used any of these Perform units, I just found out about the VE and then the VC; wondering what the difference was between the various versions, I found this video. The line-up as a whole looks well very thought-out to me, especially the VE.
Having 4 different versions of a product for different use-cases seems like a great way to save people money. If they only made one device with all the options combined, the cost would be much higher and most people would only use a fraction of its capability. Given the features of each unit, these all cost less than I would have guessed.
Reading the salty comments here, I'm just wondering if there's some kind of history here that I'm not aware of... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Will I be able to use VK for recording into A DAW,Like sending a vocal track signal & record just the harmonies on a different track? Will the main vocal also be combined with the output or can I mute /cut volume of main vocal? Thanks.

Does the build-in room sense mic also helps you with pich correction, and getting the harmonies right? or is it only the midi from the keyboard that help you get the right Harmony and pich correction?

Can the Perform-V be also used with a wireless microphone?
Does it only double the voice or are in the app also presets with more voices (lower & upper or 2 upper ones) like having harmony in th VG one? I want a perfect background voicing for "Black Velvet", which one would be best?
I heard there is also a microphone for switching those effects on and off. Do you have a tutorial video for that one? Is it wireless? Does it still need the effect box?
    Thanks in advance

I am interested in purchasing the Perform V Pro in black, primarily for its harmony feature, which I understand can be accessed through the Smart app. However, I would like clarification on whether this harmony feature can be utilized during a live set. Could you please confirm if the Smart app allows for real-time harmony adjustments during live performances?
Alternatively, I am considering the PERFORM-VE model in yellow, which includes a looper function. However, I would only require this unit for vocal performance alongside a backing track, and I do not need the guitar or loop functions.
Ideally, I am seeking a vocal effects unit that provides delay, reverb, doubles, harmony, and, if possible (though not essential), hard tune capabilities.
I would greatly appreciate any guidance or recommendations you can provide to help me make an informed decision.

Till now I'm still waiting from TCS HELICON a video in which they demonstrate the beaming option though the USB cable coz the beaming sound is so weird in front of the crowd in the case that u need to adjust the preset. I use to play in the restaurant, tables are so close to the stage, that why the beaming option though in USB is my preoccupation

I use a VoiceTone-M, and use a simple on-off footswitch with it. I'm thinking about buying a VK, if I can find one! Can I use a similar switch with the VK? All I need to do with the switch is turn the harmony on and off. I don't need the three button switch.

How do you connect and use the Perform VE app? No info anywhere!

  • @greenrobot5

I know this is a dumb suggestion, but maybe create one with a built in speaker, it doesn't have to be that loud, but enough to record videos, I'm asking this because it's a pain to connect my heavy amp, and the cable is very long, I don't have a home studio

Can you confirm for me, does the TC Helicon Perform VG have a Double - Doubling voice effect?
(The Perform V have it as a button, and the Perform VK can Import the Doubling effect as a Preset with the app through the Beam- Beamable, but for the Perform VG I can't find the answer on the internet

I see people saying, it is possible for the Perform VE to do independent harmony without a Midi controller is this true? How can I connect the TC Helicon to a USB type B MIDI controller? a Korg Micro BT.

I'm so split...I like the Piano one but if it doesn't have any effects for the Piano then why not get the one for Guitar? Would it even work if i don't use the MIDI?

    • @thelabby9998
      @thelabby9998 3 роки тому

Vk gets also info from audio inputs (but don’t plug the midi from your keyboard) and even from the aux (with some delay reproduction so it could match the chords from complex material).

Will an electric guitar will work on the VG? I’d imagine so, & figure some of the guitar effects won’t translate as well as they do for an acoustic.

Would you rather have one device with all of the various features that costs you twice the price and is twice the size?
If so, why not just buy one of the many versions of that product that already exist from your choice of manufacturer?

These are not good upgrades for my TC Helicon VoiceTone Harmony-G XT. I can plug in everything (acoustic guitar, electric guitar, keyboard). Vocal processing and FX were great and so for the instruments. Stereo outputs option to the mixer and thru output for my electric guitar to guitar pedal board fx. And comes with TUNER too. Most of all, the VoiceTone Harmony-G XT has built in pedal. With these upgrades, you have to buy two or more in order to use multiple instruments. You also have to buy pedal to control this gear. Another minus feature, since these are mic stand mountable, spaghetti wires would be dangling which is not good for a professional gig. In summary, these upgrades are useless for us performers but useful for the business of the manufacturer. Sadly, TC Helicon VoiceTone Harmony-G XT is already hard to find in online stores.

So four minutes and 31 seconds of product explanations followed by over two minutes of repeating yourself... While well presented, combining product explanations with actual product demos would of made for a much more effective marketing video and a far more interesting video for the consumer... but that's just my opinion.
