Man, I hope my son will be like you. He’s about to be 12 and I taught him how to make his own pasta last night. Taught him how to cook with a generator. Here’s the thing. People come to this channel knowing what the objective of it is. It is a SURVIVAL channel. It is to help us to survive and thrive for ourselves and our loved ones. Where do all these damn trolls come from? And not just on this channel, but others as well. In Lead and his lovely wife Lady Lead, we have a fabulous resource! We have a black content creator who has invested many hours into keeping us educated, entertained, and READY. Why even bother coming here if you don’t want to learn? Or, worse yet, if you wanna waste people’s time with a bunch of trolling foolishness? It costs nothing to see a YT channel that isn’t for you and KEEP SCROLLING. Geez!

I love my Kodiak but you are 💯 right Lead it is not a weekend warrior or for one person. Now if I have my kids with me yes I will bring it more hands to put it up. When I got back home from the camping trip I was looking for a smaller tent, I will look into the bell tents.
I got a REI Hobitat 4. I know I'll want a 8- 10 person later. This tent will be for my vehicle.

We have two separate houses and have been working on our compound for approximately 20 years. One goal was to get both those a whole house backup propane generator. The next goal is to build a solar backup to run anything from a microwave to all the small household appliances. Thanks so much for the info on the two fuel generator linked to the solar generator. We’e off and running toward that one now.

On a somewhat lighter note, I do agree that a Gazelle is better for a shorter camping trip. Kodiaks and Springbars are for living on land you purchased for a few months (or more) to get better acquainted with its ebb and flow prior to building your off-grid cabin.

Lead, I have been In and around media production since back in the late 90's. That story you told, I'm calling it "the fire banger", it really hit with me! Because some productions you think are maybe "so so" and those end up being bangers to er'body. You have to stop yourself and think maybe I'm the one that off here. Shrug it all off and go back to work. Turns out it's ALL just work. Even the people who we now call "trolls" are just "work". Just as the tactical enforcement guys say "look for work". We should keep looking for work. Nevermind what corner it's around.
