    They never made it though and the only people that were really fooled were the Londoners. Record execs have never had a clue to begin with, plus these guys had genuine talent.

    Bless 'em they had fun, what a brilliant harmless little scam.
    One thing I didn't get from the film was if they had to pay back the money or not.

    Nothing wrong with singing in another accent. As much as I loved Joy Division they might not have sounded the same had Ian Curtis sung in his broad Mancunian accent rather than the unidentifiable transatlantic voice he preferred.

    There is nothing 'real' in any form of music. Music is just music. You either like it or you don't. There is no wrong or right. Commercialism tends to drag genres into stereotypes and cliches but this is what people want, if they didn't the market wouldn't exist.
    I don't like 90% of most music but I don't judge it or the people that listen to it because I have no right to. Nothing lamer than being a music Nazi.
