  • Kohima, September 28: The Chakhesang Gazetted Officers' Association (CGOA) held its General Conference 2024 at the Capital Convention Centre in Kohima, with #KG #Kenye #Minister for Power & Parliamentary Affairs, as the special guest on September 28.
    During the event, Kenye released the General Conference Souvenir and congratulated the past and present leaders of the CGOA for their pivotal role in guiding the community towards progress.
    He expressed his hope that the members of the CGOA would continue to uphold their motto, "Strive for Excellence," in their service to the state and its people, and wished for the conference's success in contributing positively to the community.
    #Vekhosa Kotso, President of CGOA, extended warm congratulations to all Chakhesang officers who successfully cleared exams such as UPSC, NPSC, and NSSB over the past three years.
    He particularly highlighted Er. #Vevotolü Kezo's exceptional achievement in clearing the UPSC Civil Services Examination in 2022 and being selected for the Indian Administrative Service, hailing her as a trailblazer for the community.
    Kotso lauded Kezo for shattering old mindsets and demonstrating that with determination and the right mindset, any goal is achievable.
    Reflecting on the growth of the CGOA, Kotso noted that the association's membership has significantly increased, and he expressed optimism for continued positive trends.
    He also emphasized the strong bond between the association’s members and their community, despite the responsibilities they carry in their government roles.
    Kotso urged members to continue guiding and mentoring the younger generation, encouraging them to follow their passions with a positive attitude and perseverance.
    Kotso further emphasized the importance of building a society that is economically self-reliant, environmentally conscious, culturally rich, and educationally progressive.
    He called on #CGOA members to leverage their diverse professional experiences to benefit both the Chakhesang community and the wider Naga society.
    In his concluding remarks, he encouraged members to strengthen their fraternity, embrace collective decision-making, and explore opportunities beyond government jobs.
    He reminded them that their rights as government servants are coupled with responsibilities, and he urged them to act as agents of positive change for society.
    The conference featured addresses from prominent figures, includding #Vezuhu Keyho, President of Chakhesang Public Organization; #Martha Ritse, IAS Commissioner & Secretary Social Welfare and #Visielie Kezo, Advisor, Finance department.
    Musical entertainment was provided by #Kevethito Rose, NCS and Chakhesang Baptist Church Kohima enthralled the gathering with a special song.
    The programme was led by Kekhriezavi Lea, Vice President, CGOA while Chikhungo Puro, Pastor CBCK, Kohima invoked God’s blessing.

    I heard that Chakhesang has more than 800 plus gazetted officer's at present as per the released souvenir. It's high time to remove backward tag ho. Just speaking my mind no negative dey ✅

      We chakhesang comprises of three different languages chokri, khezha and sapu so its inconvenient to conduct with one particular language other than English

    This also shows that their is lacking of Common Tenyidie language among Chakhesang. But its a blessing and Good to See so many Officers from your tribe.
