Been a Met fan since 1967 when I went to my first game at Shea. In 1986 my 81 year old Grandmother lived with us an immigrant from Austria who came here when she was 13. Strawberry was her favorite player she would have this great big smile on her face when Straw would come thru with a hit or RBI. For him to make such an impression on an 81 year old who was never into baseball before was something our family was surprised at. I just regret that like Seaver and Gooden he did not spend his entire career with the Mets!
