The conversion cost is the biggest question?
@@kenzen3858 The overhaul cost to get the parts from maruti isn’t that expensive but to have it customised and fabricated is a task. Lot of man hrs, metal work is needed, most importantly the accuracy to get it running in perfect condition is what matters
Sir ji . if you really want to imptove the gypsy ride , why not take inspiration from suspension setups done on Suzuki Samurai in US ...lots of options available , yj setups , rear up front , missing link , or 4 link suspension( depending on whether a person wants to rally or rovk crawl), ....all this is available in US stores . You just need to import the kits try them on n replicate them in India . Im sure that would have turned up far more reliable than moddin a jimny suspension in a gypsy ....and as you said accuracy n alingment matters ...a jimnybsuspension in a gypsy would be a jugad .
I have a jimny n a gypsy . I want to also upgrade my gypsy suspension but not this way ... I wish there were garages in India that did precision work
@@sailorsanjoy well I am only wondering if you have a jimny n a gypsy why are u still waiting to get them import yourself and set it up ? Become the trend setting, hire a workshop who can do precision work as per your needs ! What’s holding you u back ?
@@autoattitudesnoida8111 Sir ji , I do import a lot of goodies from US for my gypsy , things I know are bolt-on...such as crawler gears n stuff . I don't own a garage and I don't have the expertise for few other mods . For example ...if I was to import a yj setup ...they provide only the mounting points for the leafs but I need to source the YJ spring .Garages would know best which springs would be the best alternative ... maybe bolero springs . But Finally there would be a marked improvement in the ride quality of the gypsy. So can't workshops in India copy the mount designs n the setup would work out cheap n sucessful . Hope I've cleared my point
@@sailorsanjoy You say bolt on ? You mean the gypsy is equipped with carrying shocker and springs mounts ?? is there a provision to install panhard rods ? Crawler gears are needed for off-road not for rally or street up.
@@sailorsanjoy also do u know the load capacity of a bolero than of a gyp please do the maths. I would love to see your set up. Good luck
@@autoattitudesnoida8111 yes im into offroading not rallying . By bolt-on I mean mods that fit straight up ....samurai - gypsy ...same same .
