I mean this as the highest praise - this is like watching Duncan Rhodes on 1.25x speed, with everything non-model edited out! Fantastic video! Also, have the new Kasrkin already been out for years?! Only now do my local shops stock them with any regularity :O
@@ThePaintingCoach yes! I throw a splash of yellow trim on the shoulder pads around the edge and yellow chest plates (where the aquila & radio sit) for mine.
Very close to the old 'eavy metal recipe for the Cadian armor, if I recall! Castellen, Loren, Straken, Ogryn or Elysian? Can't remember. Then underhive ash. This looks so much faster and still a fantastic result!
I don't know how you keep the points of your brushes so sharp, but that's half a battle right there. wonderful idea on underblasting the tan using dust. I'll be doing mine in mechanicus grey, for urban cammo.
I mean, i am,glad the kasrkin got new models, but some of the parts don't have that "elite commando" kasrkin feel to me. But then again, who am i. Great painting video as usual.
Incredible! I just started painting with the first ever minis I bought two weeks ago, which just so happened to be these Kasrkin. I want to know how the hell you keep your brush in a point like that. The ones I've got keep widening out almost immediately and it's really hard to keep the paint to the area I actually want to paint
@ThePaintingCoach thanks for the advice! I've been doing that but I think the crux of the issue is that I got poor quality brushes when I was buying painting supplies. The hairs fray easily and really just don't lay down the paint well. I'll get a better brush and really focus on the technique to try and salvage the models I've already put paint on.
Fantastic work as normal, can I ask which size brush you use to base coat please? I have several artus Opis brushes in varying sizes, but they all have too fine a point for base coating, and I think I need something with a fatter tip :)
Looking good dude hope you are feeling better me and my wife got covid 3 days ago lol bloody things doing the rounds only took me 3 years to get it quick question are you going to get bayards revenge model would be sick to see you paint it 👍
Ahh thank you ❤❤❤ this is my first minis friends and I decided to get into Warhammer after playing the new spacemarine game together. So we all got little kill teams for Christmas.
Hi, I have a question. Do you thin down your contrast paints (especially black templar)? If you do, do you use water or contrast medium? And if so, how much? Thank you and thanks for this video, I love Kasrkin so much and your paint scheme fits so well.
Thanks! I don't thin them down generally - a good shake and straight from the pot. Just make sure not to have too much on your brush If I thin it down at all, I'll be very specific about how much contrast medium I use 👍🏻
Always been a slight fan of guard, but these look like oversized 3rd party cadians to me, idk why I really dislike these sculpts, I wish they had gone for a revamped version of the old metal 80s scifi looking cadians.
Direct and to the point no fluff! Great as always!
I may have a Shadowvault box under my tree at the moment, I'll be coming back to this tutorial for sure, thanks for sharing, looks great!
Fingers crossed! And glad you liked the tutorial!
Did you get the shadowvault?
@@travisjohnson622 Yes, I got it. Kasrkin look great and I used the Necrons for my 40K army.
This the first one of these that I have seen in a while. I hope all is well. 😊
Love the new guard models
Yeah me too

Amazing! Thanks for sharing. Happy days and model on! 😎🇨🇦

Yes they came out as a kill team a while ago and have been super popular
Great job mate!
Cheers mate
Man. I need to see this done with red fatigues & black armour with the camo scheme in grey
Should look great! Inquisitorial storm troopers?
@@ThePaintingCoach yes! I throw a splash of yellow trim on the shoulder pads around the edge and yellow chest plates (where the aquila & radio sit) for mine.
Sounds good!

Sounds cool! To get the tip, twist the brush as you take it out of the paint
Would be awesome to know what brand and types of brushes you used.
Rosemary and Co - link in the description 👍🏻
Thank you sir!

Glad you like it! To keep the point, as you pull it out of the paint twist the brush into a point

You should livestream yourself painting the cadian army box
Haha i don't have the tech
@@ThePaintingCoach bummer, I‘m buyin the box and I need help, I‘ve only played soace marines and grey knightd
I'll do some tutorials for it - but you have all you need in this video 😁
@@ThePaintingCoach i know, but I‘m getting the box as It comes out so I wanna build it alongside someone on stream
Hope you recuperated without any lasting ailments… 💪🏻
Slowly getting there
I love how you paint the model, but I want to ask you which primer I should use for Helbrecht
I have a helbrecht tutorial on the channel - I think it was black 🤔
Thanks
how did you get them already?? are they out in the uk?
The kill team box was released last weekend - unfortunately it is sold out most places 😬
@@ThePaintingCoach well.. I missed that boat, but won't miss that rogal dorn release!
They will be out soon enough - i wonder if the rest will be out before xmas 🤔

Not sure if you'll see this. What colors should be used for the boys that are white?
Corwx white, soulblight grey then a bright white highlight like white scar

Diversity is a go on this channel
А почему он чёрный,а не нормального белого цвета кожа у него?

Does the sprue come with the ability to give all of the models the hazardous environment helmets. I.e. gasmasks?
Yes it does 👍🏻
