That belt on "whore" was magnificent
Positive fits so much more in the musical because it's so preppy and girly. If you go in the mind of a rich, blonde, Malibu girl, you wouldn't hear something all soulful and fierce, you'd hear something poppy and peppy. I love Love and War mostly because of the fierceness and the belting, but Positive fits better for the musical.
They really should've kept the "yeah, I'm talking to myself SO WHAT?!" line in, that's pure gold.
I’m doing a production of Legally Blonde and Nikki Snelson (OG Brooke Wyndham) is our creative consultant. She told us about how the producers hated the 1st draft of this song as it was too dark for younger viewers of the show, as the OG first lyrics involved throwing Vivianne in a bag and hitting her with a shovel. Not surprised the entire song ended up being changed
Love and war seems a bit too heavy for legally blonde... Positive fits the overall theme better but then again who am I to judge? Love and war is still awesome in its own way
1:45 i'm no rookie when it comes to Leslie's vocal range (the girl can SING) but holy shit she never fails to amaze me with that throat 😭😂
Musically this song is so much stronger. There's a real "Idea" behind this song, with the millitary pace it has. I really wonder what the reasons were to cut this one and replace it.

Also it doesn’t fit the vibe as much as positive. This is very aggressive and offensive instead of passive aggressive and still nice.

Serena and Vivian can belt high notes like nobodies business and make it seem effortless.
I like Positive better but I have to admit I cracked up when Elle yelled "Yeah i'm talking to myself so what!?"
This song sounds really stand up for the name GREEK Chorus. And this song is more fiery and aggressive. But Positive matches all the other elements of the play.

I like the dance scene in Positive better, but I like both songs. Positive was my favorite song in the musical... I don't know what I'd do if I had to choose between the two! I like the "Yes you can! Take back your man!" part of this song and the "YEAH I'M TALKING TO MYSELF SO WHAT" part but not really the ending.

LESLIE IS AMAZING!! She can belt so perfectly!! I honestly don't now which one I like better. Maybe a mixture of the two? Because parts of this one are kind of wierd, but other parts are just AMAZING! i love BOTH
That is Leslie her and Kate Shindle are the only girls in the show that would belt/mix that high!

i think this song outdoes positive in many ways....except for the ending. It seems as if they just weren't sure how to end it and it just ended up being a little awkward. That's just my opinion though. Also, it doesn't really fit with the rest of the songs in the show. I still prefer it though haha

This one is SO MUCH BETTER!! It's got a really different sound from the rest of the show - which I think is a good thing! This one shows Elle's desperation way more. Positive is way too perky.
I think the stronger point in this song is how much emphasis they put on the girls not wanting her to go brunette,,, i like these both

I love how to beat shoots into the dance part of the song and it's completely different and somehow it works. It's different but I still love it! I prefer positive because it's more perky and meshes with everything else.
