Hi Mona! those are called Auxiliary Torque Springs and in short they are mainly use to move the tip of the dental root towards the lip or towards the tongue (lower arch) or palate (upper arch).

Man, I'm using Torque Springs for about 5hrs and just feel that my teeth moved 5° dgs. This is painfully effect. 😂
What wire are you on when you attach the torque springs?
So, you twist the spring up to activate torque?

Of course we could take a look at you. But keep in mind, most comprehensive cases are going to go at least 2 years. Sometimes we can finish in a shorter time but its based on how complicated it is.
hey I have this tooth, 2nd from the middle on my upper left and I've always felt like the root of the tooth needed to be pulled forward more. This tooth used to be farther back, but after over 2.5 years, when I run my finger under my lip and feel the roots of each tooth, that tooth's root dips a little lower. Should I ask my doctor about this torque spring?

Hi my friend and don't worry you can close your mouth during this appointment, just on specific times you can't close your mouth it doesn't hurt you might be feel discomfort but usually only for two or three days, you got this, It mainly depends on your own pain tolerance, thanks for watching our video! How old do you have to be in order to get braces
You can get them at really young ages like even 6 years old. Though most people get them when they have all their adult teeth grown in so like 10-15. Just talk to your dentist about it.
