So HAPPY to finally check out Gimme Chocolate and Road Of Resistance in this DOUBLE REACTION! Drop a comment and let me know what you thought. Is there anything else I should know about these songs or performances? 🤟🦊
With that Road of Resistance performance it always amazes me that at 16 Su had the stage presence to tell a crowd of however many tens of thousands of fans when they were singing and got off the song tempo "ok everyone we're gonna go THIS way now" and they all followed along.
That is a great point! I thought the same thing, it's amazing that she boldly got everyone in the crowd back on tempo during Road of Resistance. Thanks for stopping by 😁🤟🦊
Slight correction, Su just turned 17 (Jan 2015), but yes, she definitely unlocked the “S-Tier Stage General” achievement by easily getting a 20K crowd back on timing, haha. Epic 🤘🦊
I've seen this Road of Resistance video well over a hundred times (at least) over the last 8 years, but when they started the chanting part walking with the flags, I STILL got chills. That's what BM can do to you ! The 2023 version from PIA Arena is also amazing.
Great double reaction, thanks ... well done with going for live 'Gimme Chocolate and you already understand the meaning and significance of 'Road of Resistance' ... that saves me trying to explain - and lots of people have already said everything else I might have thought of. "We are ... BABYMETAL!"👍😁🦊
Yes thanks for stopping by! The double reaction really shows the different sides to Babymetal. It was very interesting to see new era Babymetal playing Gimme Chocolate 😁🦊🤟
👍👍Great double reactions. The first shows that BABYMETAL is timeless. Joy/Happiness never goes out of style. Kwaii is in their DNA. The second shows the love and interactions between these ladies and The One x💯. 🦊🦊🦊 🖖❤
Welcome back to the Foxhole. They just want some chocolate and will make sure to get them. This is the hit that made him blew up all over the world, the rest is history.🦊🤘🍫 9:05 _"Now Pizza time (Pizza time!)"_ 🦊🤘🍕 Just like here it was the ender for almost every show at the World Tour 2023/2024 and everyone loved to have fun with this one such at the Sick New World Festival in Las Vegas, they did a fun interview about it and you can see they were excited with Slipknot returns, they were very supportive during early era or Metal Resistance chapter (that's the title inside the lore), also they play this at San Francisco as part of the Babyklok Tour along with Dethklok and DragonForce were there playing too, another supportive band since BM beginning career and also involved in the album version of this song as well some live collabs together around those years. Btw they recently announced an US Tour in November so make sure to check the calendar if you wanna experience this one of kind live show, don't miss out the opportunity. "Road Of Resistance" is a power/speed metal song, it's one of their most epic anthems and the album version got the guitar arrangements made by Sam Totman and Herman Li from DragonForce. It's all about facing your own path without looking back. This was part of the Trilogy Of 2015, live at New Year Fox Festival - Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, by this time their fame was already high due to viral success on YT of Gimme Chocolate! MV, people from all over the world attended this live concert in Japan, and 20K souls witnessed this epic moment. With only 15 and 17 years old this moment will be forever remember when they're performing this song to reminds them all the support they got from their fans no matter where they go, either a small or big stages. The Kami Band here are real and magnificent set of elite musicians, they were sent to help the girls with the metal sound, they rotate so probably you won't see some of them in all live concerts (especially the guitarists). They are: - Leda Cygnus, god of guitar, he's the only Kami Band member who's credited as a session musician when recording some albums. - Takayoshi Ohmura, god of guitar, he's Míkio' Fujioka's pupil (another beloved Kami Band guitarist who sadly passed away) and a prodigy child, you'll see his recognizable pink guitar. - BOH, god of bass, he's the bald one and not only got amazing talent but his fun way to enjoy reminds me Flea from RHCP. - Hideki Aoyama, god of drums, comes from a family of expert drummers, and his father was very famous in Japanese music scene. At the end of their shows they always said "We are BabyMetal!" with the crowd, to make them sure that they're part of this show and project too, is a line borrowed from X-Japan saying it at live concerts too. Next suggestion to enjoy another SuMetal solo along with a Kami Band intro: - Rondo Of Nightmare with Mischief Of Metal Gods Intro live at Budokan 2014. See you next time 🦊🤘🔥
Thanks for stopping by again! YES, I got my BABYMETAL live ticket last night! First Live show is secured and I can't wait 😁🤟🦊 Thanks for the great information
Your dedication to discovering the minutiae of Babymetal is really nice to see. I felt like you stuck me in a time machine with this one. Watching New Era BM doing "Gimme Chocolate" I couldn't help but muse at what an amazing journey these women have been on. Really incredible. I'd love to know what Su thinks when this song starts. Then to go back to what to me is one of the most amazing live performances I've ever seen. Really one that deserves to recognized far more widely for what an epic performance it is. To go back and see now the young Su and Moa-already seasoned pros-but still in the infancy of their amazing career. This was a trip my friend and I think you for taking me on it.
Thank you for that! YES I am all in on BABYMETAL. I loved the contrast of seeing New Era BABYMETAL performing an early classic of Gimme Chocolate. And then a powerful and commanding performance in Road of Resistance 😁🦊🤟
Great reaction, thanks! I admit I don't suggest "Gimme Chocolate" because the official music video has been the "entry song" for many people (due to the WTF factor) and the main reason why some reactors quit doing more BABYMETAL. But I also admit that fans totally love when they perform it live. I have a vivid memory from the concert in Barcelona last December with Momometal's reaction to us going nuts. It's priceless. "Road of Resistance" is a totally different animal musically although the effect over the crowd is similar: insanity. Yes, DragonForce's Herman Li and Sam Totman did the guitar arrangements and also played in the studio version. BOH plays a 6-strings Atelier Z custom bass. This music video is pure gold for many reasons. But my favorite is the way Su-metal puts the crowd's chants back in tempo before the instruments come in again. After that, you can see she's on fire just by her body language to the point she even verbalized it by shouting: "Kakatte koi yaa!" ("Bring it on!"). 🤘🦊
Thanks for stopping by! YES, this was definitely a personal pick to go for the Live version of Gimme Chocolate! It was my entry song and I always loved it. So I am glad to be able to share the experience with everyone else! Absolutely amazing that you got to experience their show! Road of resistance is always epic! Su metal truly had a command of the stage and crowd during this performance. Stay Tuned for more BABYMETAL to come 😁🤟🦊

I've seen Gimme Choko live many times and it's always a lot of fun. They play it at every live show they do (along with Megitsune) and it always pleases the crowd. At last count, they have performed it live 332 times, which is probably why they are so practiced at performing it.
Nice, good to see you seen both new and old versions of both songs! Also, Babymetal live is waaaay better than studio. I rarely ever listen to their studio anymore, especially their earlier songs. Live is what my spoiled ears craves lol. Great analysis of RoR’s meaning. This is especially true as Babymetal did get a lot of gatekeeping hate early on. @@JasonsSongStop Almost certainly the Western Kami Band. The last time the Eastern Kami Band supported BABYMETAL was for the 'BABYMETAL RETURNS - THE OTHER ONE -' concerts on January 28th & 29th 2023.
Nice double again! 😄 They are always better live, you would hear it, if you would do a direct comparison 😉 That´s even more so with the older songs like "Gimme Chocolate!!", as the studio audio of the "Babymetal", "Metal Resistance" and "Metal Galaxy" albums is always a bit overdone, effects, compression and such. They always sound a bit "squeezed", and live all parties involved sound much more bright and "open". Su-Metal in the studio doesn´t sound as near as good as she does sound live! Only exception I know of are the f1rst take versions, but there they didn´t use any effects on her voice, and the condenser microphones seem to be invented just for her voice! She sounds absolutely, frikkin´ amazing there! With "Road of Resistance" you finally saw why Su-Metal is called "Queen" 🤣She commanded a 20k crowd, being just 17 years old, from start to finish of this epic performance! And she reeled the crowd back in without speaking a single word, to get them back to the correct timing. That was such a treat!🤣 She is amazing! Yuimetal, Moametal and Momometal, too, actually can sing VERY well, yes, and they are amazing in commanding the crowds, too! Yui and Moa were just 15 years old in this! If you like to you could try to make a reaction double with the special "Headbangerrrrr!!!!" 20th birthday versions performed by Moametal and Momometal. There is a Yuimetal version, too, but that´s a rather low quality fancam, only (she did it for her 15th birthday, at the "La Cigale", Paris, Moa did it for her 15th birthday at the "Live Music Hall", Cologne, but there´s no usable footage available from this performance. Not one that I know of. These performances happened in 2014) Ok, all this wouldn´t work if the crowds wouldn´t be SO in it, but hey, could YOU resist, if three young, cute, hard working girls with their unbelievably professional performance ask you to do this or that? You couldn´t, I bet! 🤣 Yes, the crowds are integral part of BABYMETAL, our Queens confirmed that on several interview occasions. You could see and FEEL it in this particular performance. It still amazes me beyond anything that you could actually FEEL the atmosphere of their performances (well, a fraction of it, to be honest), just by watching a frikkin´ video of a performance! Those videos suck you right into it... you could feel the energy waving back and forth, from the girls to the crowds, and from the crowds back to the girls again, while it´s getting stronger and stronger... You will experience that yourself in November, I guess, I read already that you´ve got your BABYMETAL live concert ticket🤣 Please give us some reaction on this concert, THE ONE LOVES to have predictions regarding BABYMETAL and/or new fans confirmed 🤣
Thank you for stopping by and giving an insightful response! You are absolutely correct, a condenser microphone is best for higher voices which works perfect for Su Metals vocals. I absolutely can't wait to see BABYMETAL live! I got my ticket while they were still on presale 😁🦊🤟
@@JasonsSongStop Thank YOU for your response! 😃 May I ask for which location of their US tour you got your ticket?
@@Wolfpack94487 Absolutely! I am going to the Madison WI show in the US tour 👍 If anyone plans to go to this show, let me know! 😁🦊🤟
