QUESTION 5: WHEN PARALLEL PARKING, HOW FAR SHOULD YOUR VEHICLE BE FROM THE CURB? (D) 'NOT MORE THAN 12 INCHES' IS GIVEN AS THE CORRECT ANSWER. HERE IN CALIFORNIA, THE CORRECT ANSWER WOULD BE (C) '18 INCHES OR LESS' FROM THE CURB.
yes ' within 18 inches of the curb
When the pedestrian is in the crosswslk
Why are you yelling
Yes, on California 2023 issued Driver’s Handbook page28, Parallel Parking #5, “…steering your wheel when your rear wheel is within 18 inches of the curb”. Therefore, California DMV will give your “within 12 inches” a wrong answer.
Thank you
Rumble strips are not to alert drivers of upcoming stop sign , they are to alert drivers if they are drifting off the road .
I think the same
that’s was i’m saying. i was so confused when he said that
I know i was so confused and was thinking there was a new kind of rumble strip i never heard of
they have two meanings my friends and the rumble strip for the stop sings was a recent addition for the state of sc and will be on the permit test
@@lilboattekxbox O ok 👍
Answer for bonus question - I think is "B" - When the Pedestrian is in any part of the crosswalk.
Thanks for the help!!! Taking test today - already failed twice
Btw, 3 times the charm... I Passed!!! WoooHooo 🍁🍃🍂🌻
I’m taking mines today for the third time and I second that‼️‼️ 3rd times a charm
@@donnybaby3046 Yup! I passed!!!
Good luck!!!!
@@nolawest5183 congrats! hope my 3rd is the charm too bc i'm tired of taking the permit exam lol. i'm tired of having to study constantly bc it's so stressful
Me too
Almost 70 yrs old. Long time since Drivers Ed but got most OK. Still thinking on one. Some rules changed in 55 years.
good job
QUICK TIP EVERYONE!!
Do not take these answers as ‘absolute right’ always if you get one wrong, or are unsure search it up on google with your state after it. For example the tailgating question for me is 4 seconds instead of 3. And the U turns are incorrect because for my state, U turns are only prohibited when there is a sign or it endangers others.
of one of them it asked if a tires blows out what should you do for mississippi its slow down and come to a stop
My hubby did a lot of these and even did ine ge paid $39 and not 1 question was on the test
This must be for USA 🇺🇸
yeah that one depends on state for sure. us states are either 3 or 4 seconds. For NH it's 4 seconds. Good thing to point out because I bet some viewers would assume
@@ellenhofer3343 the Info is useful for the test it most likely won't actually be word for word
Question 16: i dont agree with steer straight and brace for a collision. This has happened to me a few times where you move slightly to the right to avoid a collision, than " Taking one for the team".
Agree 💯💢 w you ! I got that one wrong ( and most every other one correct) .. Thats not what I'd and I've been driving forever 😃😃 💥 when I saw that as the correct answer I immed said WTH are three nuts talking about ‼️❓
💯😃🌠🌙
I'm glad I never took this advice because I would likely have killed one or two people not me.
I don't agree with this either. Who in the world would just start braking and go straight. I wouldn't need to veer, I would ease to the right side of the road to get out of the way. That's being a target by braking and going straight!! NO Way!!@@quacks2much
two questions with contradicting answers and neither scenario is safe
Yes ! That is one of dumbest answers, defensive driving saves life’s ,
Thank you for putting up a reviewer like this. It helped with renewal process without reading the booklet 🙌😍😝
18 inches or less from curb is acceptable per the driver's manual.
Depends on the state. In the Kansas driver's manual it's 12 inches or less. Just like question 20 where it's a 2 second following but this test states it's 3. Wishing you all luck on your test!
Mn is under 12in and its a 3second rule. I think the 3second rule changed from 2 cuz i took my permit test 11yrs ago n it was 2sec on the test
Parallel parking, in California -- 18 inches from the curb max, as shutterBugBob has indicated.
Yes you are right!
Question 24 the handbooks states: parallel parking should be within 18 “ of the curb.
(Page 28)
Correct! I just looked at page 28! Dang, I have known this all of my driving life.
It's different in every state. In illinois, the answer is correct. Within 1w inches
Is this in California?
I really needed this hard test! Thank you !
I need this test its been a while thank
some of these questions confuse and are unclear .
Thanks a lot . I have to take test after 2 wks and will continue to study more .1 really this prep . Thank you 🙏
in california you should be 18 inches away from the curb when parallel parking
thanks for your feedback, I was wondering the same. 😀
Thank you l'm going to have my test next week.A/the pedestrian have always Right of the way.marquin or unmanquin line.
It seems like you're asking about pedestrian rights of way and the concept of marked or unmarked lines. Pedestrian rights of way typically depend on the specific laws and regulations in your region. Generally, pedestrians have the right of way at marked crosswalks (with lines) and unmarked crosswalks (without lines) at intersections. It's essential for drivers to yield to pedestrians in these situations to ensure their safety.
However, pedestrians must also follow the law and not suddenly step into the path of a vehicle when it's too close to safely stop. Remember to study your local traffic rules and regulations before your test to ensure you understand the specific rules that apply to your area. Good luck on your test next week!
in the handbook for parallel parking it says must be within 18 inches
This may vary depending on the specific jurisdiction or city. Always check and follow local laws regarding parking.
@@MyTestMyPrep I thought we are talking about State of California DMV, the state law.
Other tests say within 18 inches of the curb.
@@charlesling8107 I dont see the mention of any state.
And here in NC it is “Not more than 12 inches”
Especially at crosswalks, drivers should remain prepared to stop for pedestrians, even if crosswalks are not marked. Pedestrians may emerge in business and residential areas , including parking lots, of course; therefore, drivers should be prepared to stop for those pedestrians, and for pedestrians who are within any part of crosswalks. Drivers should not drive through crosswalks until they are certain that no pedestrian (or bicyclist) is about to enter or pass through that crosswalk. Drivers must always remain alert to the safety and rights of pedestrians and [bi]cyclists
There are contradictory answers here. In one, it says you should park 15 inches from the curb, and in another, it says less than twelve inches. There was another one... with a blown tire. First one said to gently apply the gas to maintain control. The next one says to gently brake.
Another contradiction is between question 15 and question 7. Approaching a railroad with no control devices. One says slow
Down and be prepared to stop. The other says stop 15 feet away from the crossing. Which apparently could lead to a dangerous situation in the first question 🤷♂️
Listen ifnyour studying from your permit go to your states hand book every state has different laws. Signs will all be the same but rules of the road vary from state to state
I gotta pass a permit test for the 2nd time cuz I didn’t renew my license for a year & I swear they added new questions they didn’t have 10 years ago in drivers ed
Passing the DMV test is when you study hard, if you can’t study or you don’t have time for your studies I’d advise you get yourself a help like Mr William.
I’ve always believed DMV is not for all but studying, you need God’s grace to pass.
People keep talking about William all over UA-cam, he must be a very awesome help.
I studied for months and couldn’t pass, I guess passing is a blessing.
I passed mine after studying so hard, I’m not discouraging anyone just wanna say do whatever you believe will help you pass .
correct, everyone has a different fate.
there is an answer should be Two-Second Rule
It is a general guideline for maintaining a safe following distance under normal driving conditions.
I just passed my test yesterday oct 20 i never read the dmv handbook
Bonus Question: Answer B
Just took my driving test read the book several times and every time is 18 inches from the curb written in our Cal State driving book 5:58
Living in Washington state, hope the virus does not travel north.
B. When pedestrian is any part of the cross walk.
Thanks
Is very helpful. The answer is the pedestrian can be in any part of that’s crossed way he is always the most important one he is always first
Missing question and answer number 4 . Thank you for your time 🎉❤
@ 2:09 Tire blow out - (D) Gently apply the gas pedal @ 10:52 Tire blow out (C) Gently apply the brakes WHAT??? I'll l just read the DMV book.
good
Got 100%…..
Crazy answer
Ok 22 and 10 same question different answer
Bonus question? B
Can you please tell all the answers of mva all 25 questions please
Thank you so much
Your voice is beautiful ❤❤❤❤
Question tens answer is the exact opposite of the previous questions answer, which is to accelerate and steer the car where you want to stop. How does that make sense?!
Unusual questions a little too fast for me to follow ! But thanks !
Confusing and unclear . Don't remove my reply again.
question 14 is wrong you twisted it cannot make a u turn in a business district but you CAN make a U turn in a residential district if no vehicles approach you for 200 miles in california quoted from the book "
You may make a U-turn:
• Across a double yellow line.
• In a residential district if no vehicles are approaching you within 200
feet.
• At an intersection on a green traffic light or green arrow, unless a No
U-turn sign is posted.
• On a divided highway if a center divider opening is provided.
Never make a U-turn:
• Where a No U-turn sign is posted.
• At or on a railroad crossing.
• On a divided highway by crossing a dividing section, curb, strip of
land, or two sets of double yellow lines.
• When you cannot see clearly for 200 feet in each direction.
• On a one-way street.
• In front of a fire station. Never use a fire station driveway to turn
around.
• In business districts (the part of a city or town where most offices and
businesses are). "
Last one if u cant find it page 22
200 miles????
What state is this for?
Are some of these not right because I need to study and if these are not right then I don’t want to be wrong
this test is in AZ not Cali right
As a professional semi truck driver I don't agree with these at all, even though these questions and answers are for four-wheel vehicles. 3 seconds following distance is too darn close. That's what you call tailgating. And not to mention people can't seem to drive without their cell phones, so you don't know what the car in front of you is doing and if they have to make an immediate stop and then you're eating your steering wheel. Distance is your best friend, maintain it around you at all times.
There are other questions I don't agree with on here either, far different than how I was taught in driver's ed in the 1990s
Are theses the questions on the test ??
hello. i just fail 2 times the online renew test online. i have 1 chance more my question is ..... do i need to complete the test the same day or can i study all day and start over tomorrow ? thank you folks
If you are 75years old senior, no violation!!will you still take test?
For CA only: If you are testing as part of renewal, the renewal written test has only 25 questions.
Question 16: I don't agree with steer straight and prepare for a collision. This has happened to me a couple of times. Slightly moving over to avoid a collision sounds better than taking one for the team.
Bonus question
R)-b
couple answers were wrong #5 and # 3 . Must be correct them ASAP
What to do when expiriensing a tireblow out, The answer is posted wrong. Look it up on Google.
In a situation with a flat tire or blowout, you should hold the steering wheel firmly and keep the car going straight. Slow down gradually. Take your foot off the gas pedal, but do not apply the brakes. Let the car slow down, pull off the road and then apply the brakes when the car is almost stopped.
But you said gently push the gas pedal. That doesn’t make sense
You got the same question twice on 10 & 22 and 22 is not right. I experiens it myself & I step on the brakes first not sla. amd but slowly
How do you pass I got to 30 and the passing score was 35 and I can’t get there cause half the questions are so hard
I , Wall To Agree 👍To This,
I, Wall , To, Agree 👍To, This ,
you should state which state this is for. You'll really confuse people, but I mean that is why you should just read your states manual
Is this test the Maryland permit test?
It is applicable for all states
all over the country. U S A.
The eLearning test is easier than the paper test or online in the DMV office
The eLearning test is taken at home but you are being monitored during the test.
Answer is b
B is the answer
This questions are made to make mistakes intentionally , DMV real test dose not include these questions
BONUS QUESTION ANS B
Is it C ?
Will I pass my permit if I keep all these in mind 😂
When the pedestrian is on the crosswalk
The bonus answer is B.)
How can I copy of this DMV test. Thanks 🙏
I am sorry, there is no option
when pedestrian is in leaves the curb to walk across the road.
i dont see how these are the hardest i only missed 1 of em
Q 19= At or near the speed of traffic. Even you may stop, if there is not enough gap.
Idk the last but i would stop when they are waiting to cross the crosswalk
Question # 24: the Google Ai answer is Between 12- 18 inches, While Yours is 6-12 inches,
Which is the Correct one ??
12- 18 inches
Question number zero it's B
Stop if a pedestrian is in any part of the crosswalk
I need it Korean language “ Please “
I do not recommend this video 20. which of the following the minimum safe following distance ? - Two seconds should be considered an absolute minimum gap
@duailebaslatr9206 In my county, the three-second rule is required to pass even the permit test. I say this video is useful for people in sc.
Number 22 is wrong in california
B
In California there’s different questions
C
Stop for the pedestrian only if they're wearing a cute outfit.
What ever state you're in study the book thats how i passed . This practice test will confuse you and not be able to pass the test. some of these answers are completely wrong for California
The manual says 4 second following distance! Under normal circumstances
Several mistakes in this test. I checked the DMV 2024 handbook. This test should be reviewed and corrected.
Question 16’s answer is DEFINITELY WRONG! You should NEVER brake firmly because of oncoming traffic, you should always steer to the right unless there’s no shoulder on the right hand side. Keep straight and the oncoming diver may not change direction, then what!???!!
18 inches is correct ❤
These are NOT the answers for the California DMV. Many States have a DMV - and they each have their own State Laws.
This test should be labeled with which States it applies too.
That's it - I'm done with this one.
.
Question 22 and question 10 seem to contradict each other 😒
I'm not sure this guy knows all the laws. For example, question 20. As a former P.O. in the Highway Pct I never heard of the 3 second rule nor do I think there is such a thing. The general rule is that you keep 1 car length per 10 mph from the car in front of you. They would never use a time element because it is to subjective. I could be wrong, I don't know the exact law in every state but I know that's it in N.Y.
