Honestly, I don't know if it's because I loved Scott Foley as Henry on Grey's Anatomy or it's just my real opinion about Jake, but I like Jake, I think that Jake is better for Olivia than Fitz. Fitz is a lying, cheating bastard! Lol, no offense to the Fitz fans, but I like Jake for Olivia. :)
MissMaureen, Question ❓ Did you get it twisted? Nearly all of Jake's dealings with Liv were underhanded and opportunistic. 1. His first dealings with Liv was a job to watch her for Fitz. He took full advantage of her vulnerability. 2. Then Liv's father used Jake to come between Liv and Fitz. If Fitz was a lying cheating bastard, then Jake was a lying, cheating, cold-blooded multi- murdering bastard! Jake, too, was married, remember? Fitz killed one person with personal intent, but look what she had done to him-an assassination attempt on his life. Jake made a conscious choice as his life's career to kill and murder for hire and whatever conveniences fitted him or the situation. Fitz chose to get into politics to help people live better and more productive lives in whatever capacity needed. Look at all the good Fitz did for the country and the world. Can you say the same for Jake? Liv and Fitz goals were the same, helping people in need. Wouldn't that make them more compatible? What exactly were Jake's goals and asperations in life? I AM SHOCKED that Liv's GUT FEELINGS didn't warn her of Jake. Maybe THEY did and she just ignored THEM. The lesser of of two wrongs: Fitz! Name all the times and comforts Fitz was willing and did give up to be with Liv. What exactly did Jake have to offer or what was he willing to give up for Liv? Come on Miss Maureen! Are you hating on Liv? Furthermore, Fitz knew the diamond Liv was, better known as BLACK GIRL'S MAGIC, with all the makings and trimmings: brains, looks, talents, means to take care of herself, and all the necessary skills and wiles to satisfy a lover and draw him in beyond his wildest dreams with such grace, dignity, and respect. Fitz valued everyone of Liv's assets and was overwhelmed and overtaken thoroughly by her lover's skills which were innate and natural! Shonda Rhimes out did herself with this one, or maybe she, herself, was endowed with an extra touch of BLACK GIRL'S MAGIC from on high with Scandal. Jake only seemed to enjoy a good lay. I don't mean in anyway to take anything away from Jake. Jake's character was indeed important. It was a necessary GREATER WRONG! Jake played his part par excellent.
