Welcome to the new world of PSA grading standards...I'm 100% convinced that any vintage holo is automatically given a grade of 8 as soon as they see it and then they go down from there.
Last time I ordered from Troll and Toad, I spent 400 dollars between 3 cards, they came in a single penny sleeve, inside a top loader. The card in the middle had stuff stuck all over it, front and back. The infuriating part was the shit stuck on the card in the middle left small dents on the other cards from being smashed up with it during the shipping. They were at least in acceptable condition before that. Needless to say, I wasn’t happy and I made a stink until I was able to return everything and get my money back. Troll and Toad use to be good, but that was before Pokemon collecting blew up in 2020. Their quality in singles has went to pure shit and I’ll never shop there again.
I’m not really into the investing side of Pokémon card collecting so I wouldn’t send any cards to psa or any other grading companies but it’s still cool to see what grades these cards get
Love the honesty and transparency in this PSA card reveal! Even though the grades weren't what we hoped for, it's all part of the collecting journey. The mix of nostalgia with those old-school cards and the excitement of seeing what grades come back is always a thrill. Can't wait to see more from your collection, and fingers crossed for better luck next time! Keep up the awesome content! 🔥
So graded cards from like a decade ago being like a 5+ are worth a bunch, but modern cards now need to be a 10 to be valuable right now? I guess they'll be more valuable in the future hopefully
They wont because the populations of modern cards in high grades are much higher. So the desperation to buy *any* grade is reduced and lower grades wont have much value
@@yosefbensadon4933how come? There’s going to be so many of those in the future since so many packs are being opened atm, people are keeping them in better shape, and getting a 10 is so hard. Therefore I’d assume the market will be saturated with 8 and 9s of more modern cards
Up until a week ago I didn't realize how difficult it was to have a card be in perfect condition... This video just solidifies that fact that it seems almost impossible to have a grade 10
If you don't have centering tools, and the ability to use digital microscopes to look for even the tiniest spec of surface wear, you will get hit with 9's all day long. And even then it feels like grading companies are population controlling some outcomes. Never seen so many videos of people cracking and resubmitting cards to the same and different companies in all my life until the last three years. I will stick to keeping my stuff in a binder and sleeved.
Hallelujah 🙌🏻!!!!! The daily jesus devotional has been a huge part of my transformation, God is good 🙌🏻🙌🏻. I was owing a loan of $49,000 to the bank for my son's brain surgery, Now I'm no longer in debt after I invested $11,000 and got my payout of $290,500 every month…God bless Mrs Susan Jane Christy ❤️
After I raised up to 525k trading with her I bought a new House and a car here in the states 🇺🇸🇺🇸and also paid for my son's surgery (Oscar). Glory to God.shalom.
Idea: In these videos, it would be interesting to see and write down what you think each card would grade when you get them raw (1st video) so then when you go into these return videos, you can see what you thought they would grade vs what they get! Keep up the great content 💪🏼
i absolutely adore diamond and pearl, EX, and platinum era cards, but i've come to realize that i don't really like the holo/reverse holos all that much. sick cards, i just think we do holofoil a ton better now.
I think I've got the bug! Bought my first ever booster pack last week and pulled a super rare Teal Mask Ogerpon... Didn't even know what that meant at the time LOL. Love your content mate. Felt your pain on the 10k fake box video - you handled it like a gent. All the best!
So yeah I sent in recent and was shocked by almost all 6's. Then I read through and it says even a single scratch puts it at a six. A seven, even eight can have a little edge wear, but NO scratches. I was so sad when I got a bunch of vintage back at lower prices then what I paid.
Another great video. Love watching you ones where you grade cards. It would be cool if you had you chat pick a card from a few and then bought the card from different websites and then had them all graded to see how they stack up against each other. Think that would be an interesting idea. Other love the videos.
Love the content, but how do you know if you win giveaways and where are the livestreams? Is it twitch or are they all on UA-cam because I haven’t seen one in a while.
Yo, awesome videos! Just started collecting again a few weeks ago and you've been my #1 source of scratching the itch when I cant get packs. Keep it up man, we appreciate you!
I have been begging my mom to get me one of those mystery packs. But anyway I just want to say that pokerev is a great UA-camr and that he inspired me to start collecting myself. So thank you for that I really enjoy collecting. And you are a great UA-camr keep up the good work man. ❤🗿
I wish there was a grading company that used "conditions" that make sense. 6 excellent mints are not mint. They're light played. Shoot, 7's are pushing it in terms of being near mint and lightly played
@@tomasjmr It's a matter of the physical description of the card that graders give them. I get that the grade is what's important and the subgrades are the cards what determines the final grade of a card. It just doesn't make sense to say call a 6 "excellent to mint" when the card is actually lightly played. If that doesn't make sense. Then please, just don't reply
Seems like slipping a few potential 9’s and 10’s when sending off probable 6-7’s (or worse) is a nice way to soften the blow. You should do that any time you get poor quality when purchasing mystery products.
I don't like the grading videos as much as pack opening, but it is interesting to see what sellers class as near mint, and what they actually grade as.
Welcome to the new world of PSA grading standards...I'm 100% convinced that any vintage holo is automatically given a grade of 8 as soon as they see it and then they go down from there.
PSA grading is HUGE scam. They should be investigated for fraud andmarket manipulation. I hate them so much
yep sad. pitiful
I think I'm addicted to getting cards graded. It's like opening the pack all over again, but even better.
I absolutely love these PSA returns videos! They're really entertaining, regardless of the grades :)

I love that ninetales. It's such a beautiful card.
Same here probably my favorite out of the bunch haha 😄

That Absol card at 5:31 looks insane! Too bad it got a 6😢
Heck yeah
Just started collecting with my 5 yr old son!! We love watching your vids when we open packs 💪🏽 thanks for entertaining us!!
I just started my pokemon collection, and the reason why was because of this channel
Yes please show a video on how to buff out slab scratches! 🙏🙏
I’m submitting some vintage cards next week I’m excited to see how they do

That shows true! what a fun game/idea!!!
Just started collecting pokemon cards to relive my childhood. This channel has been a huge inspiration for me. Keep up the good work!!

yeah idk this video made me anxious and nervous. i just sent 20 cards to psa im trippin hahah
😮😮😮 dude so sorry it wouldn't let me comment thought it did but it was to your post
They wont because the populations of modern cards in high grades are much higher. So the desperation to buy *any* grade is reduced and lower grades wont have much value
Yeah I am buying many modern graded cards at 8-9 at significant lower prices than raw. I don’t buy raw anymore.

Love your openings because you dont rush them and comment on regular arts aswell!
Interesting idea!
Dark Persian remains a totally overlooked gem of a card

Hello how do you make such monthly??
I'm a born Christian and sometimes I feel so down🤦🏼of myself because of low finance but I still believe in God🙏.
She's a licensed broker here in the states🇺🇸 finance advisor.
Thanks to my co-worker (Alex) who suggested Ms Susan Jane Christy

Can I also do it??? My life is facing lots of challenges lately
Love the PSA return! Some of these cards graded better than expected!
I only just got into the Pokemon community recently and I love it! I use to collect them when I was way younger and now I’m collecting sets
Exactly the same as me
PSA return videos are so addicting (and reaction content in general is addicting idk why)
SLAM THAT LIKE BUTTON IF YOU WERE HERE WITHIN THE FIRST HOUR!
Excited to get our first grades back next month. This helps puts things into perspective. Thank you!
the dark persian was giving the bombastic sideye😆
It's always funny when the backdrop falls 😅
That was a rough psa return.
Rev you vault and CTR should make a group channel. Y’all together is comedy gold
Less than one minute
Who cares
That's what you wife says

Legendary collection is goated. Absolutely love those reverse holos.

Idk if the grading is even the same quality any more. Some of them are questionable choices
So interesting to watch as I’ve been considering getting some of my cards graded.
Please heart this pokerev 😢
yep always heart him
I would love to see how to buff out the PSA cases! I have some that I need to do that too!
if you send shitty cards you get shitty grades
Just watching this video makes me want to send all of my vintage cards and more
grading vintage can be so intresting

Loving the content. All the old school gen 1 reminds me of my younger days where I opened up my first booster pack on Christmas Day
Would love to see a video on how to buffer out scratches on PSA slabs!
I’m slowly building up my stack of cards that I want to grade but I always love seeing your PSA return videos! 🔥🔥
PokeRev: *pulls out literally any card*
PokeRev: "This type of card is so hard to guess"

That ninetales card art is so awesome

The best thing about grading cards is that they're protected from time and the elements. It help preserve the legacy of Pokemon
That Keldeo is def like that bc of how they used to put the promos in the packaging. Thank god they started using the inserts instead of the tabs.
Anything with Zard is always a good time
Love all your videos. Thanks for what you do!
Very cool see price paid followed with the price value after graded. Great video!
Wear and tear aside, that Ninetales card his one of the most beautiful I've ever seen! 🔥🔥
That dark charzard still looks awesome
Love the cards 👍
That dark persian is a gorgeous card. I have a non-holo version that I adore, but this version is next level!

Do you get discount for grading cards in bulk at PSA?
Next time do a full submission of Mr. Mimes and Pinecos! 😂
Just ordered the 4.0s, would love a 5.0!
2:59 emo venusaur is crazy 💀💀 anyway this the first time ive commented even though ive been watching for a while but your channels great, keep it up!
Love getting graded cards back
Good luck!

My favourite card from the submission is the Absol holo from Team Magma vs Team Aqua! Cool video, hope you do more of these Rev!
Great video as always🔥🔥
Tough grading session. Thanks for sharing!
This is why I started buying PSA 6 or 7 vintage cards. Cheaper than near mint, already graded and in a slab, and probably similar condition
Goated vid also I think that PSA has the best and most valuable the other ones are nice but I just like psa
Great video ! Nice to see what grades the cards got and shows us if it’s worth it or not 😂

Rev literally every other card "this can go one of to ways" LOL
Let’s see them PSA 10s
The Emo Venusaur is just plain funny to see 😂
Such a fun video! You should do a buy at a few card shops then psa the ones you buy.
I don't like the grading videos as much as pack opening, but it is interesting to see what sellers class as near mint, and what they actually grade as.
Never graded any cards. Something about being able to touch the cards I love.
Graded cards are always fun to watch
Wasnt bad considering these were purchased online randomly ! Great vid man
It only gets more and more difficult to find these vintage cards and nice condition, but even at a slight loss, I still think it’s worth grading them
That Ninetails card looks sweet! Too bad for all the scratches and off centering of it though!
Psa grading is my fav content for some reason
