  • Investing in yourself and your business is the best investment you can make.
This technique helped me rank 278 fastest growing companies in America by INC Magazine. Making it into the INC 500 with zero funding is a great accomplishment I am proud of.
Building your team is going to be the key to growth. Everyone's journey to do so will be different, but I wanted to share mine.
Let me know how you are building your business and team below.

It’s Hair Like Liv. I started it in 2019 and named it after my daughter bc she was always complaining about her hair. So I wanted to make sure her hair always looked the best. I’m in Youngstown Ohio and trying to get better with marketing so that I can get more website sales vs Facebook post sales locally. I started styling the wigs I sell vs just selling them out of the package. That really helped boost my sales. One day I hope to be able to hire someone to help me grow my company. And I’m gonna look up that guy and stop spending my profits on myself. Just gonna put 100% of the profits back into the business and work day and night too. Gonna order your book later today.

Hello! VIP Celebrity Virgin Hair here! I agree with your strategy 1000%. To this day, I have yet to draw a personal salary from my business. I'm focusing on product diversification and growth (and, as always quality control). Since its formation, I've called this company, "my baby". My ultimate goal is to nurture my baby so that it can grow up and thrive, so it can one day care for my family/future generations. Like you, my goal has always been to continue to re-inves in the business, gradually build a dedicated team for the long-term, and then, at a later point take a salary when I believe the business has matured enough. Rome wasn't built in a day, nor will my Empire be. I can wait. In the meantime, the advice of mentors like you has been invaluable! I re-read "Fearless Beauty" often, and have taken many notes. Thanks, Mikey, for ALL that you have done, and continue to do, for entrepreneurs like me!

Starting my business has been extremely challenging but I have learned a lot. Your book has definitely been a great help. I wish I had it from the very beginning. By being a part of your Facebook group and watching your videos, I get a lot of advice that I can actually apply and see results.

My business is Queenz Bundles. I learned about your book at Wholesale Day the lady who talked to me was soo helpful! I wish I remember her name! She told me about the book and it’s been a huge help. I haven’t gotten to hiring someone but I’m solely focusing on continuously reinvesting in my business and building my brand!

Business is definitely improving for me because I am trying new things. Working at different places in Atlanta I have been able to network more with others, and give out more business cards. It has been a struggle for me over the year, but I believe it will pay off! It definitely gets hard, but I always remember why I started my business. One day, the first check is going to my son! ❤️

It isn’t easy at all but I will not give up I believe in myself and my business I will be successful and with starting the hair business I always wanted will definitely get me there.

I am still in the beginning stages and still working my 9 to 5. My biggest challenge has been funding but I had to create a budget for the first time and it wasn't easy at first but now my budget has allowed me to have a web designer work with me, I am able to purchase and maintain inventory, and I am able to purchase packaging and marketing materials. I have to feed the baby if I want it to grow. It's still an uphill battle but I see the fruits of my labor and learning a lot in the process.

Having a budget is key! You will be surprised how much money you spend on stuff you don’t need. Keep putting the funds into your business!

Don’t be afraid to sacrifice your time and pay. Reinvest your profits back in the business. I am currently a Trichologist and Cosmetologist. I sale bundles, Edge Control & Design Essentials. I’ve created my own hairstyle called Egyptian Melts and now I’m currently planning to right a quick guid to growing healthy hair book. I also have a UA-cam channel called Beauty & Business where I help entrepreneurs build business credit. Private Label has really helped grow my brand and I am truly grateful.

Great video! Started my business in 2018 and it has been a challenge. I have had set backs due to health and financial, but everything is better now I’m investing in aging more knowledge of this business. My passion has ran deep for this since I was 16 . I am taking the proper time to do it right this time. Thank you Mikey for the video true inspiration to keep going and learn from past mistakes.

Starting your business is scary to put things into others hands. Yet it’s important to delegate task to others to be successful.

When did you approach investors? Were they Angel Investors or Venture Capitalists or what? If you didn't pay yourself for first 2.5 years how were or can you pay your employees or even hire them? From where were you getting money to sustain yourself? Did you yourself take the inventory route or the dropshipping model when you started? Did you hire a CA or some kind of financial advisor to do your taxes?

We still to this day have not taken funding. I was working a job in real estate full time to pay for my bills and help find the business.
