This video was invaluable in replacing my 96 c1500 injectors, though you really do not need to remove the distributor cap or fuel lines. Just taking out the bolt on the bracket gives you enough slack in the fuel lines to move them out of the way.
Such a well put together video and very clear understanding. Thanks for taking the time. In return I reached out to buy this for my Chevy 2500 because it looks the same but didn't have a fitment for my truck. What I'm trying to say people...buy from them, they took the time for the video. Their prices are good too. I checked around.

Kevin Kingsbury I totally agree with you on that. It is such a nasty job changing out those things and for that reason I always tell people even if they’re not bad just replace them all anyways because only time will tell before they actually do go bad and then you have to go through that whole procedure all over again.
Truly excellent, informative video tutorial. Now, can we take a moment and talk about the idiot engineers at GM that came up with this devilry??? And I'm a hard core Chevy guy. This is one of the most idiotic intake setups GM ever came up with.
@@kiteslights7189 it may or may not but I tell you this once you change out the spider 🕷 injection system with new all 8 and the fuel pressure regulator and clean the throttle it’s like having a new truck only about and hour or 2 job.
It makes perfect sense that they go bad and sometimes have overspray causing a miss fire, it gets hot in there of course they're not going to last inside there
I'm going to be doing this in 2 weeks to my 96 silverado with a 5.7 liter. Why not replace the fuel pressure regulator filter while im at it. Anything else I should do while I am in there ??
Awesome video. The 95-99 K1500 series only come with spider injectors? I’ve heard they can go out and be expensive to replace. Is this the case? Thanks!
Thank goodness GM put the injectors under the intake instead of outside of the intake and into exposed intake runners for easy access. God knows the people that work in these love to take an intake off to get to them. /s
I have a question that I hope you can answer. I just put in a new spider injector and it's getting fuel and has good ohms but for some reason they poppets won't open and disperse gas. What do you think the issue is?
I have a 1997 4 wheel drive suburban 1500 turns over it gets fire put a new fuel pump in it it's getting fuel all the way up to the pressure release valve but still won't start not getting fuel through the injector you spray carburetor cleaner in a fire-up
Doing it in the middle of winter right now, it’s not so bad main thing is all those connections but that can be done with some labelling won’t take too long before your all done
Not worth it really just better to buy the new spider 🕷 system and change yourself worth it since the a prone to leaking as they age change it once and the fuel pressure regulator you have a new truck.
Watching this video makes me anxious and I'm not even the one doing the work! I swear, whoever designed the CFI system on these trucks needs to be shot. When it's good, it runs like a dream. But one thing goes wrong and it runs like crap
Is this also the way to replace fuel injectors on a GMC 1999 Suburban? Think it is a C1500 4 wheel drive. It just developed a problem after stopping at the store and restarting the engine. When I make the first right or left turn it bogs down like maybe 4 cylinders have flooded with gas. Was suspecting a leaking fuel injector.
+Roger Merritt It may be a different procedure on your application. We currently do not have an auto repair video for this particular year, make and model. Thank you for asking. 1aauto.com
Can anyone tell me how i can identify if i need to replace injectors or not? Im in the midst of diagnosing and checked to see how involved this repair is and want to know how to see if this is what's wrong with it
I put the New Spider Injectors in my 98 chevy k1500 5.7L, But I accidentally put them in the wrongt holes and now I don't know how to remove them because there are NO TABS on them like the old style . Can you PLEASE HJELP ME OUT ?????
Can you hook up a injection cleaning machine unhook fuel pump relay hook up hose to fuel rail set pressure to 50 psi add cleaning solutions to tank ,,let run till tank is empty,
I call it Frugal insanity... once down that far I think should be recommended to change all of the injectors.. ironically and possibly after reassembly and driving down the road for two weeks another injector goes out..
Can anyone help usually in the morning my Yukon seems to pull in the like kinda heavy like losing fuel makes it feel like my transmission didn’t work but if it warms up after 20mins it’s fine
permanent misfire in the codes. (PO30* somethings) the old obd2 stays good with mentioning it. you can try a poop ton of cleaners (marvel, techron, lucas, seafoam, etc) and let it idle. if it comes back at an idle even for a few minutes at a time.. keep throwing cleaners at it.. its not a bad injector, it is simply dirty. I had one skip after hitting a big bump once... cleaners brought it back. These can skip just for removing gas tank for a couple of days (mechanic called it de-airing, or regaining nitrogen) Very sensitive.
Well, they did. This is simply an instructional video for those who want to replace the spider injector. If you notice, they have a video upgrading the fuel injection system and basically use this exact footage except they changed the bit with re-installing the injector. You can find that video here: ua-cam.com/video/_1Hkjc8zcb4/v-deo.html
I come here for the tutorials. However I would not recommend buying these parts. They are low quality roll the dice parts. If you want absolute reliability obviously go with all AC Delco professional line parts. Most are OEM or as close as it gets. They sent me some shocks that were acceptable though.

Why not replace with a new MPFI injector assembly instead of reusing the old assembly which is prone to failure?

You should let your vehicle warm up for roughly 20 minutes in the winter months anyway so the fluid can warm up and expand some.
