The BIGGEST Streamer Bot Update Ever

- The new version 0.2.0 of streamer.bot is out on the main release channel now, and it’s got some really huge changes that make it more powerful and easier to use than ever.
There is more to cover than I can do in one video but I want to go in-depth into the biggest and most significant change, and also highlight a few of my favorite smaller updates as well.
Did you know you can make a command right from the actions tab now? Nice.

great video, however what happened to being able to put actions on channel point redemptions? This update has completely screwed up my snap camera filters & now since there is no 'action' tab on the channel point redemptions i can no longer program everything as i once did. trying to find the solution but nothing yet. help?

The triggers are IMO the biggest change and functionally my favorite. The 1 thing that is irritating me that I really hope they alter (I wouldn't call it a fix so much as a enhancement) is the Hotkeys tab. It lists all my hot keys and if they are enabled but not what they actually do. If a person has a dozen or more hot keys setup, a road map is in order when working in SB. If they would just add the action tag in there as well I think it would make life much easier in the Hot keys tab. Just my $0.02 on that matter.
I like the little splash they added as well. I typically do not enjoy splash screens on programs / scripts. I think it would be really awesome if they would allow a vote on Discord and pick a user submitted version out. There is some really awesome ones out there that people have created.

Yeah the problem with moving all the triggers to the action tab is that now on the other end of things it’s hard to see.
You can click the little ? Next to triggers and see the trigger viewer though, where you should be able to get a better view of your hotkeys and what is assigned

Great video! I would love a video going into global variables a bit more. It's something I use but I never *quite* understand what i'm doing even though it works. Would be helpful if I understood how they worked more in depth :D

was the option to "Ignore Gift Subs from Gift Bomb" removed in the latest update?
It got moved to a general settings page, I think under platform-> twitch
Hey in the beginning part of your video you mentioned once you update all your actions will automatically be good to go. My voice commands to trigger scene switches still works but my voice commands to trigger media files and or alert type stuff all dont work literally at all anymore what so ever. Any idea why that is? I've been at this for a few days now because i just NOW updated my streamerbot and its been set up since July. I just updated a few nights ago and it all killed my commands lol. I can still trigger recording and stuff like that...just not media files from obs anymore
When you go to the related actions do you see a trigger at all?

I can help troubleshoot in my discord if you want but I’m out of town at the moment.
I would try:
Putting some sort of twitch chat message in the very top of the action to test and see if the action is firing at all.
That would rule out the voice command being an issue. And then move on from there.

Did you figure it out?
The action is not longer assigned to the channel point on the channel point reward tab,
Instead you add a trigger to the action to connect to the channel point reward
I responded to your other comment about this but let me know if you didn’t sort it out yet.
You associate the channel point reward to the action now by adding a trigger to the action and choosing the channel point reward there
i dont know how to set up a bot message warning about ads with the new update :(
Hi! I actually have a new video for this coming, but I need to wait for a new version to release. There are some ad-related triggers being tested in the alpha right now.
For the time being, you can tie an action to the ads by using the Twitch > ads > ad run Trigger.

I wish the button for adding triggers didn't move. It was so convenient, why not keep it there AND have it the new way?
You’ll get used to it. I feel like it’s so convenient now, you almost never have to leave the actions tab.
Also the ability to create things like commands and timers right from the action tab is great.
