SKYLER HENRICKS FAMILY VLOGS
What I used and what you may need -
1x4x10' (1x)
1x4x8' (3x)
1x2x8' (3x) You could also use 1x4 or 1.3 for these
2x2x8' (2x) I used these instead of 1x2 so it would be sturdier.
You will also need 1 1/4" screws and I used some 2" screws as well.
If you have a pocket hole tool then you will need 1 1/4" pocket hole screws as well.
Tools I used -
Miter Saw
Tape Measure
Power Drill
1/16" Drill Bit
Phillips Bit or matching bit for type of screw you use.
Pencil
Wood Glue
Cut List:
1x4 Cuts - 2 cuts at 53 1/2", 3 cuts at 29 1/2", 2 cuts at 28", 2 cuts at 26", 2 cuts at 18 1/2"
2x2 Cuts - 2 cuts at 52"
1x2 Cuts - 9 cuts at 28"
Good Luck Building Y'all!!

That's Awesome! Glad we could inspire and help you with that project!
Thanks for the video, built this for my grandson and it turned out perfect.
That’s awesome! I’m glad it worked out good for you! I hope he liked it!
Its sucks more people dont appriciate the effort you put into this video including the dimensions, because this was super helpful and people could truly benefit from videos this in-depth
Thank you! I just wanted other people to see how easy and affordable a well made bed could be for kiddos!!
Nice bed. Simple, inexpensive and completely functional. I'm going to Home Depot tomorrow. My 3-year old grandson needs one. New subscriber. Found you by searching "build a toddler bed". Thanks.
Thanks you!! Glad you found us and I hope this tutorial was thorough enough to help you build it!! Hope he likes the bed!!
I
Thanks for your instructions. I made this bed and made it into a farmhouse style bed and painted it white. If I knew how to have a brag post to show you I would. I’m so thrilled Thanks again.
I’m glad I could help! Hope your kiddo enjoys the new bed!
New subscriber : this is a perfect diy bed for a toddler. Im actually needing to build two now for my kids.
It’s a quick cheap easy build! Really sturdy for young kids!! Good luck with the build!

nice watching this now
Nice bed!
That’s so cool!
What is the dimensions of the completed platform?
!!! WARNING !!!
Especially when designing for babies/toddlers/children, you shouldn't have any gaps/openings that are in the range of about 4-9 inches. Any gaps should be larger than 9 inches or smaller than 4 inches. This is to prevent a child's head from getting stuck and potentially suffocating them. It looks like both the head and foot of this bed are close to the danger zone.
J T thank you for the concern and warning but the spaced that I used for the head and foot of the bed is less than 4”. Thanks for watching!

An Excellent Video! -- BUT, I could not find what size Mattress you based it on - VERY Important detail to start with. - Add the size of the mattress to the BEGINNING of your description?
PS: i realize after i saw your very helpful "CUT LIST" that the Matress size is 28 inches X 52 inches
(Matress Thickness could be 4" to 6") - Thanks again for the Video..
Right on thanks for the Tip! Didn’t even realize I never mentioned the actual size or thickness. Glad you enjoyed the video!
I couldn't see the list off measurements
The materials and cut list is in the description below the video! If you still can’t find it let me know and I’ll add it in the comments!
looking at replicating. Thanks for posting. How would you go about adding storage drawers underneath
I’m not sure, but I’m thinking about building it again and maybe I’ll take a look at storage..let me think about it and I’ll try and reply if I come up with something!
Honestly I think building some rolling storage underneath would be the best!
Do you sell the kit and how much it cost
how do you take it apart once you glued it up
Oh well once it’s all glued and screwed together it would be pretty difficult to take it apart without damaging the bed. Sorry if this doesn’t help you out, but it’s not meant to be taken apart once built.
Joaquin Phoenix?
Do I look like him?
