in my opinion T5e is little overhype. Yea, it have really good quality of videos and photos, but external microphone port doesn't work (which is quite common problem in this camera) and there is no option of screen reversal. The more it hurts, because I wanted to use T5e for vlogging and as a Dashcam :(

@@RedskullPro Ohhh....I mean, regular webcams don't offer 1080p 60fps and those that do cost an arm and a leg. Action Camera bridge that gap i believe. Just need one that has a good sensor for low light recordings.
Super helpful analysis and comparison between the different action cameras! I am looking for a good camera to take scuba diving. Unfortunately, the Apeman A80 seems to be getting phased out by the new version called Apeman Trawwo. Do you know the quality of this camera? Also looking in to the Campark. Both cameras seem to get good reviews on Amazon, but not sure how much I trust their reviews. Any input and opinions would be appreciated:)
I got the Apeman Trawo 2 weeks ago...just haven't had a chance to check it out yet. Personally I take my YI 4K+ with me everywhere... check my Twitter account, I posted a underwater clip from it the other day

Thanks for watching. GoPros are great and if you can afford to spend $400 for the latest one it will be a really good choice, however if you get the $200 Yi 4k+ you will get the same video quality

Thanks for the awesome videos! What would you recommend to someone who is looking for a helmet cam for motorcycle riding. I currently have the akaso 4k camera and shoot at either 1080P or 720p to save card space. I figured that I don't need any footage that's fantastic, only sharp enough to capture what may happen out on the road for insurance purposes such as license plates. My only problem with the camera because I got otherwise love it is that the battery doesn't last long at all. Do you have any recommendation of a camera that doesn't necessarily need to have fantastic video quality as long as it's sufficient but does have good battery life

you aren't gonna get that great low light performance around $100. I would probably still get the Mijia 4k but you will need to buy a waterproof case for it...it doesn't come with one. The Apeman A80 isn't bad for what it offers at around $70

i recommend getting one that can take an external microphone. The internal microphone will not do great with loud music. Yi 4k+, Thieye t5e and sjcam sj7 star can take external microphones
Im leaning towards the Xiaomi Mijia Camera Mini 4K 30fps...Can I get a clip on accessory for my shirt with this camera? I really dont need all the other attachments. We bought the extreme pro HD 1080p and that has a clip on attachment. Not sure if it will fit the Mijia 4k though. I dont recommend the extreme pro HD 1080p .

I really wanted the M3Cool Explorer 3 after this video, but can't find it anywhere. Some sites say it's actually discontinued. What's my next best option? I've used the Apeman A80, and A66 with good results. I have been hunting for a camera that can do an external microphone and stumbled onto the SJCam S7 recently. That is probably the camera I will take to the Laconia motorcycle rally with me in June. It loos pretty exciting.
I was looking at the batteries closely for that one. They look very similar to what I use for my Apeman camera. I have a dozen of those. Do you still have the Apeman, and can you tell me if they are compatible if you do? For me that would be a big selling point as I already have a ton of them on hand.

so you would want image stabilization for 4K.... the MGcool Explorer 3 has that...but if you are ready to spend $200...i recommend spending a bit more and getting the Yi 4K+. It is an amazing camera
question.... Im looking for a camera to record my daily driving. I work as a delivery driver for companies and a certain unnamed pharmacy brand...lol. Averaging about 230 miles a day...starting at the early am (3:30am) and ending in the evening. I already have a normal Yi dashcam that works fine and does its job...but this i want to record video of some of the cool things i see all the time. So i need something that can run off usb (charge while recording), that can hold a large memory card so I dont need to always delete video, and has decent quality...1080 will most likely be my normal recording range. Now like I said i have the dashcam but it records in 1 min chunks and having to put together 100 1 minute chunks in order to make a video is a complete waste of time. So thats why im looking for a normal cam. Would one of these work for my purposes? Could i leave it in the car all the time? (I live In New England so temps vary from below freezing in the winter to very hot in the summer) Is it easy to get extra parts? Batteries etc? Just trying to get an idea of what to look for so any info is appreciated. Thanx all.

Hey alex i really like your reviews very informative however there is something i couldnt figure out Im planning to buy an action camera which im going to use mostly underwater and what i need is to be able to operate with the camera while in the water (changing settings,switching between video and cameras..) does this mean i have to stick with action camera that doesnt have touchscreen and only physical button? Or are there any camera that have touchscreen and they have buttons that let me operate with it under water?
hi, most cameras weren't exactly designed to be used under water, However, the Yi 4K+ has a water mode that disables the touch screen so you can use it easier under water
If you need a budget camera that you want to change settings underwater, maybe better to get a non touchscreen model. On the other hand if you are recording in 4K, you can probably extract a high quality still anyway, so no need to switch modes.
how many of those cameras will record with out going into a 10 min recording loop? I have a soocoo c10 and that is all i seem to get out of it is 10min per clip and i have changed the setting and even the cards. minus this issue it is a great camera with good audio and good image.

Sup Redskull I'm looking for an affordable action cam that supports bluetooth audio input. I have a fancy bluetooth headset (samsung u level pro) and id really like to use it to record my voice whilst standing in front of the camera. Gopros are pretty iffy right now, so this helps. Going to get the efficient 1#, the Xiaomi Mijia Mini 4K, on amazon, because reviews sound legit and there are only two, meaning less people know about this, meaning this camera is less popular and is more likely to have a goal to get good cameras out to all instead of as many edgy, maybe dysfunctional cameras as they can (Gopro's current budget camera state). The specific YI in this video is more non budget best professional action cam.

Damn bro you are the action camera MASTER!! There's got to be a cool way to utilize those cameras, like making a rig to hold multiple and do real time comparing.. Or who knows, the sky's the limit really when you have that many action cameras..

they all have live view, but depending how far from the camera you are the footage may look laggy

The SJCAM SJ7 Star is a great cam. However it doesn't come with a zero distortion 90 degree FOV option. I'd recommend the Hawkeye Firefly 8S

You are right about blocking the screen..they all do the same... You can find batteries for it for $3-4

I like the SJ7. Even thou i've reviewed it almost a year ago, i still have it :) Most cameras i end up selling
I was looking at the batteries closely for that one. They look very similar to what I use for my Apeman camera. I have a dozen of those. Do you still have the Apeman, and can you tell me if they are compatible if you do? For me that would be a big selling point as I already have a ton of them on hand.

Redskull, which sub-$200 would you recommend for skiing with chest mount in 4K?
so you would want image stabilization for 4K.... the MGcool Explorer 3 has that...but if you are ready to spend $200...i recommend spending a bit more and getting the Yi 4K+. It is an amazing camera

Im looking for a camera to record my daily driving. I work as a delivery driver for companies and a certain unnamed pharmacy brand...lol. Averaging about 230 miles a day...starting at the early am (3:30am) and ending in the evening. I already have a normal Yi dashcam that works fine and does its job...but this i want to record video of some of the cool things i see all the time.
So i need something that can run off usb (charge while recording), that can hold a large memory card so I dont need to always delete video, and has decent quality...1080 will most likely be my normal recording range. Now like I said i have the dashcam but it records in 1 min chunks and having to put together 100 1 minute chunks in order to make a video is a complete waste of time. So thats why im looking for a normal cam.
Would one of these work for my purposes? Could i leave it in the car all the time? (I live In New England so temps vary from below freezing in the winter to very hot in the summer)
Is it easy to get extra parts? Batteries etc?
Just trying to get an idea of what to look for so any info is appreciated.

Im planning to buy an action camera which im going to use mostly underwater and what i need is to be able to operate with the camera while in the water (changing settings,switching between video and cameras..) does this mean i have to stick with action camera that doesnt have touchscreen and only physical button? Or are there any camera that have touchscreen and they have buttons that let me operate with it under water?
hi, most cameras weren't exactly designed to be used under water, However, the Yi 4K+ has a water mode that disables the touch screen so you can use it easier under water
Redskull thank you for now the yi 4k+ is kind of out of budget right now so what cam would you recommend me for that use?
If you need a budget camera that you want to change settings underwater, maybe better to get a non touchscreen model. On the other hand if you are recording in 4K, you can probably extract a high quality still anyway, so no need to switch modes.

how many of those cameras will record with out going into a 10 min recording loop? I have a soocoo c10 and that is all i seem to get out of it is 10min per clip and i have changed the setting and even the cards. minus this issue it is a great camera with good audio and good image.

I'm looking for an affordable action cam that supports bluetooth audio input.
I have a fancy bluetooth headset (samsung u level pro)
and id really like to use it to record my voice whilst standing in front of the camera.
I'm having huge difficulty finding a camera that supports this function??? surely it should be standard?

if you don't do anything crazy to endanger your phone, than a phone for sure, but if you are into some crazy sports, an action camera would be better

Gopros are pretty iffy right now, so this helps. Going to get the efficient 1#, the Xiaomi Mijia Mini 4K, on amazon, because reviews sound legit and there are only two, meaning less people know about this, meaning this camera is less popular and is more likely to have a goal to get good cameras out to all instead of as many edgy, maybe dysfunctional cameras as they can (Gopro's current budget camera state). The specific YI in this video is more non budget best professional action cam.

Damn bro you are the action camera MASTER!! There's got to be a cool way to utilize those cameras, like making a rig to hold multiple and do real time comparing.. Or who knows, the sky's the limit really when you have that many action cameras..
and i think i have a few more, but they were in boxes and i didn't want to take them out :) Maybe when the weather gets better i'll do like a massive action camera comparison or something. Defiantly need a couple of people to help with something like that
