Every day I watch at least about 20 videos of Whitney Houston singing I Love The Lord and the most interesting that occasionally surprised me with a unique video for me ... The 2010 tour should have been called I Love The Lord so many and so many wonderful videos that were recorded by the public this beautiful song! She truly loved the Lord and although there is no CD Gospel Live, there are on youtube a lot of evidence that the Newark girl loved the Lord!
I was there that night and also on the 28th and she did so well. I really don't know why the press are hating on her so much. The concerts were fantastic. Okay she didn't hit the top notes but she did sing with passion and gave us her all and they were fab concerts. The atmosphere was brilliant. I am sick of reading about how bad she was. It's so not true!
It was an AWESOME concert!! Whitney let The Spirit of God have His way in this concert. some people don't understand how The Anointing works; and that is why they couldn't get into what was going on. But I knew what The Lord was doing; and I know those of you that know about The Anointing--knew too. The media was hating on her that night because they can't explain The Holy Spirit! and it upset them. They needed to feel what Whitney was feeling that night!!! So Press/Media just shut up!!!
Whitney's I Look To You Album should have consisted of 'I look To You' and ' I didn't know my own strength' but it should've been a gospel album cause her new voice suited gospel and soul music really well. It would've been a bigger album, arguably the best since The Preacher's wife days. Whitney defiantly should've recorded songs like 'Amazing Grace' and 'Children Go Where I Send Thee' and Aretha Franklin's arrangement of 'Bridge Over Troubled Water'. The album would've been amazing and the live performances would've been spectacular. But oh no, they went down the urban route...now look at her legacy, half destroyed through those bad performances. This song really should've been rerecorded again for that 'I Look To You' album, it would've been fitting.
OK, so it wasn't exactly a great concert, nor a bad one. This is the same concert the media made look like a disaster. I'm so glad I have a brain and an independent mind and can judge things for myself...
