if its one thing i enjoyed it was the faces Morrigan pulls. She's the last person to maintain the "stoic/determined beautiful face" that most female warriors maintain in games in the worst of situations. She's snarky and disgusted and pissed at everything she's fighting and shows it on her face.
Sanguiluna I disagree about the combat. I think DA2 took a massive leap backwards from the strategic battles in Origins. But some people don't like real-time with pause that is slow and methodical - in fact enough people apparently dont that they made it more action-y ever after. No argument, just my preference.
jex8bit Personally, I thought the combat was the only thing DA2 improved upon from the first game. Ironically, the combat depicted in this trailer for Origins is closer to the combat in DA2 than it is to the combat of the game it's supposed to be advertising. That actually seems like a common Bioware tactic with their trailers. The only game I can think of where their trailer actually resembled the gameplay was Mass Effect 3.
jex8bit I think concerning combat DA2 was better then 1 because 1 was too bland as to how they fought. but yea I'm not like most being nitpicky and say DA2 sucked, it was not as good as origins but it certainly was not bad.
Reminds me of a line Knight-Commander Meredith delivers in DA:2. "Blessed are those who stand before the corrupt and the wicked and do not falter." The Chant of Light really is beautiful, especially now that Inquisition has basically proven it to be true.
What's the point of remasters anyway? In next 10 years everybody would be bitching about the remaster looking bad and will demand remaster of a remaster. Graphics only move forward. Just learn to deal with look of older generation games and you'll be fine.
are you kidding. the dragon fights are easy. its only an issue for me because it takes forever, and i like to be the person to execute it, so if i dont get to i restart the whole fight.
I hated fighting the dragon because it would just automatically kill me with that one really annoying move and there's no way to defend against that attack if you're a melee charachter
*spoilers for Origins* Are all the dragons the same? I swear I thought 'Flemeth' was harder than Andraste (though maybe I was lower level, idk). Archy-the-demon was the easiest. Though, that might've been because you had an army with you while you killed it... And yeah Shale is cheap-sauce in those fights. Literally a big walking cheat-code lol -- I love her character though.
What ya talking about? My noble human is a pretty sassy, yet rightful guy....oh wait that's me^^. Anyway, fuck these Dragons, and fuck Neo Andraste and her cult of asshats in particular.
SinerAthin nonsence... just remove all skills she uses rom the tactics and put there "self->any->activate mode->rapid fire" and put on her bow that gives rapid aim :P that sh1t makes wonders
Lol94169 All classes can I think (although I've never tried climbing a creature with a mage), but in any case, the rogue is the most efficient in acrobatics obviously
MackAttack Not a copy paste, but an imitation 1)The mysterious evil boss that rise from the darkness and of whom minions are a bad copy of the orcs of Lotr..... how original... 2)You need to gain the dwarves, the mages, the elves ecc.. in order to defeat the evil boss..not so different in concept than what they did to defeat Sauron 3)The evil boss is more or less like Sauron a critical boss, kill him and his army will lose even if such army is still intact and erfectly capable to kick the warden ass..
Okay but. We can all agree Morrigan was the most badass out there. She made a fucking dragon swallow a ball of lightning like a mom does her children eat the soup.
Neloth290 yeah but I'm actually talking about that grab attack they do and how your attacks are slow other than theirs in DA:O, sometimes I wish this game was reduxed.
Somberlain pretty sure its just the outfit, in the trailer here most stuff is covred up, in game however her breasts are sticking out on both sides only covered by a scarf wide cloth.
***** that wouldnt be bad either, i have loved all 3 Dragon Age games but DAO's story made it my favorite, i even like DAO more than DAI (story only though)
Can you belive I had this game sitting in my closet for 4 months untill I decided to actually give it a chance, never judge a game with just playing 20 mins lol.
So pleased to see this pop up in my suggested videos...great memories. This was one of the best games I've ever played. It has influenced me in profound and subtle ways...from my writing, my understanding of characters, and philosophy.
The story and dialogue/roleplayability, yes. The gameplay, not as much. It's very slow and clunky, even by turn-based RPG standards. I'd say games like Divinity Original Sin and Baldur's Gate 3 show how good that type of gameplay can be when handled well.
+Piers Baker the qunari are based on the japanese with a pinch of muslim culture thrown in the mix, don't forget that thedas (the world where the game takes place) is modeled after medieval europe, the qunari in that world represents what the turks were in real life and the tevinter imperium - the old byzantine empire, orlais - france, ferelden - england and so on
I was a bit confused when I first played DA:O. They gave you a handful of voice options in customization, and there is a speaking animation when you're going through the voices, but the only in-game voice acting for the warden is repeated phrases shouted during combat. Was the warden originally supposed to speak during cut scenes, but it was just a mechanic that they scrapped in the end? They obviously gave Hawke and the inquisitor voices in future games, so I just wonder if that was the intention from the beginning.
If Mass Effect I is anything to go by, perhaps that was the idea, and it was scrapped somewhere along development. Sherpard having a voice is nice (although his transitions during conversations sound akward)
I doubt it. DAO was meant to be a throwback to the classic pc rpgs and there's just way too much text to hire 36 or so different voice actors just for the main character.
Depends on the build. You can make an _incredibly_ powerful party if you focus on synergy rather than individual power. Passive and sustained abilities that buff the whole party and debuff the enemy are ridiculously useful and when a bunch are stacked together, the party as a group is pretty much unstoppable. It's also cool from a roleplaying perspective because it's less like they're arbitrarily unlocking new abilities, and more like they're learning to work as a team more effectively as they adventure together. Additionally, extensively using the programmable tactics to get them to act in tactically sound ways (like killing the emissary first) without needing to be constantly micro'd is also really helpful and makes them feel more independent and helpful and less like a bunch of toddlers in need of constant supervision.
Ok I understand that, but it takes two minutes to set up out of a 60 hour game and it saves you sooooo much micro (which I find much more tedious and worse, breaks up the action). It even lets you play as just the warden if you want, without ever having to directly control another party member.
In the actual game, this setup versus a dragon isn't an easy kill at all. No healer, archery isnt that good and two melee versus a dragon is pretty bad :P
I did it with that exact set up, my Arcane Warrior went semi into the fade and assaulted from the rear, freezing it with ice spells, Leliana sniped from the top near the tower with ice arrows and poisons for extra damage and morigan below with ice/lightning damage, while Sten used Indomitable to attack the dragon from the front without getting knocked down. Morrigan is a healer. Pretty easy to do, you just have to use intelligent tactics.
Well it's a cinematic after all, not like the game - Morrigan transforming into a spider and chain-overwhelm on 6 hurlocs is also not going to happen xD
Elvis Samardzic because the game would be even better with current graphics...you seem abnormal hostile for such an innocent comment maybe you should switch to decaf?
chaz Davis What do you know pleb, because of the gamers like you today we have shit like inquisition and rest of the mindless games, again i ask you why you don't replay/play inquisition,i know why because it fucking sucks, and yet graphics on that game are better,so please stfu. Innocent comment, yeah right, you are one of those gamers i can't fucking stand, you think you know what would be best, but you are clueless, like people that want multiplayer in every single freaking game for no reason, but hey it would be even better with mp,i'm sick of you ppl.
there is also a mod which brings up what you said "if only the characters actually looked like that" just how on smart phones you say there is an app for that. for games such as this... there is actually a mod for this trailer to make your characters look more alike to it.
Morrigan is worse, almost all nice choice will decrease her points but i love her sarcasms and her interactions with other members so i always have her in party
Donnie Bahar Yea, playing it right now, and I have to agree with you. Morrigan is funny as hell, but hard to not get her all pissed off at you for doing the right thing.
in order to get Sten to like you you NEED to understand how the Qun works, because once you understand the Qun, you will easily be able to make the right conversation choices. Also with Morrigan you cant be a hero, you gotta just do what is in your best interest, not the whole world. :P
+reznov316 The Landsmeet in Origins was 100x better than the Winter Palace in Inquisition. Whoever designed "Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts" should be fired, that quest was god awful.
+reznov316 Tbh the story and characters were much more interesting in Origins. They definitely didn't have the character or enigma that the originals did (every party member literally had a mystery and deep dark secret that you WANTED to uncover).
+Weaksauceization Yeah exactly! In inquisition there was no Flemeth's Grimoire moment where you find out that a character was going to be cannibalized by her own mother and fight the mother only to have her turn into a fucking high dragon lol. There was no "oops, did i forget to tell you i'm a prince, heir to the throne? silly me..." moment where you can straight up play kingseeker or literally marry the royalty yourself lol. There's no landsmeet moment where it's literally almost imossible to escape a battle with Loghain unless you manage to blackmail and win enough political power etc.. to effect the vote, making you literally feel like you've either made progress or realiize how unimportant you still are in the grand scheme etc.. Origins just made you so invested in the story and world; you literally felt like a murderer when you failed to save Connor or like utter scum when you made a deal with the Desire Demon for Blood Mage or...er...other....things....hehe. Then there was the DLC that even further went into stories of Leliana, Morrigan, Shale etc..etc... I compare it to the difference between Dark Souls and Dark Souls 2: DkS2 is still a great game, but it has next to none of the amazing NPC interaction and immersive dark saddening storylines that the original was chock full of.
still giving my upvote for a movie remake of this. its perfect movie material maybe in a trilogy format. Id eat it up all day. Origins still has the best overall feel and story.
there was a movie. "seeker" or something look it up its an officaly licenced one. and decently good as well. tells the story of what took place with cassadra.
killerman19880385 Don't quote me cause I have no proof or any backup but my guess was they were too Orcy, which I never thought was a bad thing but maybe they wanted to become there own thing.
Agreed. The darkspawn in Origins had this genuine menace to them, a viciousness that seemed to leap off the screen, but like with everything else in the franchise, the sequels really undermined that and just turned them into generic pseudo-orcs.
Dragon age origin I must say is so much better. not in terms of graphics obviously but story, romance, character and humor is far more greater than the 2 + inquisition. I freaking love that you can have a golem as a companion...morrigan the mysterious forrest girl and much more. UGH! I like inquisition but the whole time I'm like....origin does it better. also they shouldn't let your character talk. bc of that your party members don't have as much lines.
e21big About the armor, it depends on what do you mean by cartoonish. If you means a suit of ruddiculous aboutn of iron with extravagant decoration made out of iron, then yeah, inquisition is more cartoonish. If you mean something that look as if it's made of play dough and look like a Japanese skimpy armor wanabee then the first one is. Seriously, the lighter armor in this video kickass, but the real light/leather armor in game look riddiculous. Metal armor are pretty good for me though.
MariusThePaladin I honestly never came across any armour in DO that look Japanese, or do you mean the Lamellar Alastair wore at the beginning of the game? I think the style looked European a bit more like the Byzantine Roman's which looks very impressive to me. The heavy armour are definitely looks heavier and darker, in fact, aside from the Warden and Orlesian (and perhaps a Templar Commander), non of the design from DAI looks heavy to me and those three looks so cartoonish - and yes I mean that's mean they are far too extravagant for my taste. Cassandra always wore a piece of robe and probably mail, Blackwall just have a cotton armour with some chest plate, and Iron Bull wear practically nothing. The armour design will be something that I will appreciate DAO over DAI
Gameplay vs story segregation. Everything is going to be harder and/or take longer in a game in order to make it actually challenging. Unless they're Grunts, even *Darkspawn* take a while to kill in game despite all you'd need to do in real life is cut their head off or give them a good stabbing to put them out of commission. The Archdemon and High Dragons wouldn't be any different, in real life they'd be significantly easier to kill for experience fighters like the characters in Origins.
I just love this game and my definitive pick is a good warrior Aedan Cousland, rommancing Morrigan, it's just the only choice that to me seems to fit the meta-narrative of the plot of the entire series, as this and the other trailer shows. Same goes for Hawke being a mage in the second game.
@@yang6642 Male warrior/rogue Trevelyan. Human is the only logical choice since Thedas is a human-centric universe, and humans are the only ones truly fully involved with Andrastan religion, the other races just don't fit a Andrastan Inquisitor role. Regarding the sex I would say a male (Maxwell) is more logical, than a female, but it can go both ways for Inquisition.
88kjk75 Huh, I quite agree with you on that one. What about romance? I know you said Morrigan for Origins and I agree with that but what about the other two?
Alright, this is a CINEMATIC trailer, I hope you can at least grasp that. No? Ok. Cinematic means it is there to hype you up for the game, it does not have to be made from animations or graphics of the actual game, it can have shit that you cannot have or do in the game, because it is a CINEMATIC trailer. Not a gameplay one. Got it? Still nothing? Ok...
Rapid Shot(rogue skill)+Haste(mage spell)+Swift salve (potion)+Repeater gloves = Leliana's CGI attack speed. I'm aware that there are some kinds of bugs if you use all of them, but nothing that mods can fix.
mariano Nicolas Swift salves and haste don't work with ranged weapons. Rapid shot and repeater gloves work for increasing ranged attack speed, but I wouldn't recommend rapid shot since it removes your ability to crit. dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Bugs_(Origins)#Ranged_attack_speed_bug
I don't think she looked much like that because even when I herd her voice I still wasn't sure who she was but then turned into a spider and I was like oh ya that's morrigan haha
Morrigan is my favorite. But how are her and Leliana not freezing from hypothermia? Look at what they are wearing? I am surprised their necks and legs are not turning purple.
LOL i remember this, i got so hyped to get the game, on the illusion that it was gonna be exactly like the trailer lol the graphics, the combat.... i was disappointed in my own way lol, but the story of the game i LOVED IT! For Inquisition they have to merge the rich story and setting qualities of Origins, with the better combat system and interface of DA2, AND BRING SHAPE-SHIFTING BACK!!
Quikie93 After watching the gameplay and graphics to The Order: 1886, I can imagine they will have the ability to make the next Dragon Age game to be like a cinematic trailer. That is IF Inquisition does well enough and EA agrees to make a sequel.

Morrigan disapproves ♥(-15)
HAHAHAHAHA!!!!
ahh.... y did i romance her... XD
***** That bitch disapproves everything!
she's my favorite my character roleplays a witch so I tend to use morrigan and flemeth as a guide line. :) best play through ever lol
if its one thing i enjoyed it was the faces Morrigan pulls. She's the last person to maintain the "stoic/determined beautiful face" that most female warriors maintain in games in the worst of situations. She's snarky and disgusted and pissed at everything she's fighting and shows it on her face.
a tip: watch series on Flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching loads of movies lately.
@Darwin Eddie definitely, been watching on flixzone for since november myself :D
@Darwin Eddie definitely, I've been using Flixzone for years myself :)
Oh if only shapeshifting was this much fun in the game...
If only COMBAT was this much fun in the game. The trailers for this game were as misleading as their trailers for The Old Republic.
Sanguiluna
I disagree about the combat.
Sanguiluna i agree with Jex, and only thing about DA2 combat was that it looked nice honestly
"The righteous stand before the dark, and the Maker shall guide their hand." Epic. Just epic.
+Tracke Jackson, MacMillan, The Sniper, bow before the shooting skills of Leliana.
I watch this from time to time just to see that scene :D
Cringe. Just cringe.
Reminds me of a line Knight-Commander Meredith delivers in DA:2. "Blessed are those who stand before the corrupt and the wicked and do not falter." The Chant of Light really is beautiful, especially now that Inquisition has basically proven it to be true.
If only killing the dragon was that easy
therapyweasel smith it was.
lol right, but we earned that kill in the game.
I wish they'd rerelease Origins but with Inquisition graphics and designs. That face tat brah! Want my in game warden to look like that.
So remastered?
+Zain Hartono Considering the trend of recycling everything because they can't make new content worth a damn, wait 2 years or so, they will make it.
Inquisition's graphics make everything look like it's covered in gloss.
What's the point of remasters anyway? In next 10 years everybody would be bitching about the remaster looking bad and will demand remaster of a remaster. Graphics only move forward. Just learn to deal with look of older generation games and you'll be fine.
you know you can get a very close warden preset for human noble male
Well I have to say the fight against "Andraste" was a lot harder than that makes it look.
are you kidding. the dragon fights are easy. its only an issue for me because it takes forever, and i like to be the person to execute it, so if i dont get to i restart the whole fight.
I hated fighting the dragon because it would just automatically kill me with that one really annoying move and there's no way to defend against that attack if you're a melee charachter
It helps if you have shale or the dog. The dragon cant use it grab move on them. Also shape shifted mages can be grabbed either
They play on easy difficulty :P
*spoilers for Origins* Are all the dragons the same? I swear I thought 'Flemeth' was harder than Andraste (though maybe I was lower level, idk). Archy-the-demon was the easiest. Aaah this trailer, showing the only time The Warden talking before he became a mute.
What ya talking about? My noble human is a pretty sassy, yet rightful guy....oh wait that's me^^. Anyway, fuck these Dragons, and fuck Neo Andraste and her cult of asshats in particular.
Technically, the Warden could talk during gameplay at times.
You carve your sword into an already dead dragon's skull.
Sten Highly Disapproves
Morrigan Highly Disapproves
Alistair Highly Approves
So I'm guessing Legolas is the father of Leliana.
Can't just shoot a normal arrow, no... has to go through a whole sequence of acrobatics & epic martial arts fighting to fire one arrow xD
SinerAthin In the game: Takes her ages to load a single arrow, just to either see 'miss' or 'blocked' above her head xD
alturius4
That's why I always carried around like a gazillion Swiftness Salves all the time!
SinerAthin nonsence... just remove all skills she uses rom the tactics and put there "self->any->activate mode->rapid fire" and put on her bow that gives rapid aim :P that sh1t makes wonders
more like the father of zevran..
if only with rogue character you can do stunt shits like what Leliana did in the trailer
If I take her on quests she just dies x')
Well,in Dragon's Dogma the rogue class DOES that shit, seriously
Lol94169 All classes can I think (although I've never tried climbing a creature with a mage), but in any case, the rogue is the most efficient in acrobatics obviously
Lol94169 Combat and monsters were the ONLY things dragon's dogma got right sadly
TheFlightAce
Good thing it's the majority of the game
If blades were half as sharp as Morrigan's wit, it could cut through dragon scales like tissue paper.
BEST RPG EVER!
This is one of the great RPG games which has a unique gameplay element! And also lots of fun while u get used to it..
Somebody needs to play Baldur's Gate II...
No. Just. No.
it's a great game but not even close to TES
(-_-) everybody knows TES is better, but before Skyrim this was the only cool game with dragons and shit..
Mighty EVILOSERUN This game is like 10000x better than Skyrim tho, I can't speak for the older elder scrolls games so they could be better.
Who thinks the main story from dragons age origins could be made into a successful movie
I think they should do a series so they can do every detail cause games to long for a movie lol
+BCMGameplays nah they already did lord of the rings and it was better, the story is kinda like a copy paste from lotr.
+BCMGameplays I think it would make a better TV series
+Aren Mek Besides the fantasy setting, how is DA:Origins' story a copy paste of LotR?
MackAttack
Not a copy paste, but an imitation
1)The mysterious evil boss that rise from the darkness and of whom minions are a bad copy of the orcs of Lotr..... how original...
2)You need to gain the dwarves, the mages, the elves ecc.. in order to defeat the evil boss..not so different in concept than what they did to defeat Sauron
3)The evil boss is more or less like Sauron a critical boss, kill him and his army will lose even if such army is still intact and erfectly capable to kick the warden ass..
Okay but. We can all agree Morrigan was the most badass out there. She made a fucking dragon swallow a ball of lightning like a mom does her children eat the soup.
if it could only be that easy to kill high dragons!
it is... except on nightmare
Neloth290 yeah but I'm actually talking about that grab attack they do and how your attacks are slow other than theirs in DA:O, sometimes I wish this game was reduxed.
Use some mods man www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/2577/?
and if only spider form was of any actual use
LDC GFX My thinking exactly
Morrigan somehow looks hotter in the actual game.
Agreed, in this video she looks really ugly, like an old lady.
*****
oh god, she looks like a mutated 6yo there xD
***** kill it with fire!
Gage Godwin yep i agree with you...the ingame one looks....childish and weird....the cinematic one is better...
Somberlain pretty sure its just the outfit,
in the trailer here most stuff is covred up,
in game however her breasts are sticking out on both sides only covered by a scarf wide cloth.
Imagine how epic Shale would have been in this trailer...
Came after the new Trailer. The West doesn't know how to make games anymore. They are all Disney+
It's funny to see how epic they made trailers back then and now we have to endure guardians of the galaxy type shit that's already 10 years too late
damn, morrigan. that jawline could kill.
i wished they would do a hd remake...
that wouldnt be a bad idea for them seeing how successful DAI was so im sure people would buy a hd remake
+ethan mcdonald Or DA2/DAI style-ish. DA2 is so completely different from DAO.
***** that wouldnt be bad either, i have loved all 3 Dragon Age games but DAO's story made it my favorite, i even like DAO more than DAI (story only though)
+Druundev fuck no
+Druundev It's just a bit early. Plus, if they do an HD remake it'd probably push back DA4. Not that it's been announced but it will obviously happen.
my favorite party members, Sten, Leliana and Morrigan.
It's 2022 and Dragon Age Origins still holds up pretty well (with mods). One of the best games I've ever played.
The story and dialogue/roleplayability, yes. The gameplay, not as much. It's very slow and clunky, even by turn-based RPG standards.
I'd say games like Divinity Original Sin and Baldur's Gate 3 show how good that type of gameplay can be when handled well.
i liked the qunari better when they were just huge white haired beasts form Jamaica.
***** no, i was reffering to their dreads.
+Shiskebab616 nah no way lol. the qunari in inquisition were so badass i played a qunari rogue, his horns were sick as fuck
+Shiskebab616 They're supposed to be Arabic I think.
+Piers Baker I like to think Samoans, personally.
+Piers Baker the qunari are based on the japanese with a pinch of muslim culture thrown in the mix, don't forget that thedas (the world where the game takes place) is modeled after medieval europe, the qunari in that world represents what the turks were in real life and the tevinter imperium - the old byzantine empire, orlais - france, ferelden - england and so on
Such an epic game. Makes me mourn for what BioWare used to be. R.I.P.
What the hell man? Where was Alistair?
+SuperSaiyaMan He was, but he was a completely different character.
Fuck allistair king consort here i come
+SuperSaiyaMan huh a better reason then i thought of. I thought it was because you can only have three other people in a party so he was back at camp
He was a middle-aged guy with with short hair and a five-o-clock shadow. Try googling "Dragon Age Origins Alistair Concept"
+Counter Clockwise I just did. Ohmigerhd. Alistair. I'm so glad they didn't do that to you. D:
Credit where credits are due: They do make some killer trailers for their games, Bioware.
I was a bit confused when I first played DA:O. This was such an awesome trailer
*is ;-)
*tis :3
i just played it again + the awekening. what a game..
and now i played dragon age 2 and inquisition again with full dlc-s. What a game
:D
Metal sound track, hot ladies, gigachad dudes. A trailer before the dark times.
Who else is insanely attracted to Morrigan right now? That laugh of hers....
Me
It's 2019, and they could make a movie/show on Dragon Age with this kind of animation and I'd watch it about 30 times.
Yeah. They did make one movie but the animation was kinda crap.
In the end, Warden stole Morrigan's kill.
Talk about OP. My companions were NEVER this useful.
Blindluck92 haha coz they aint so useful mostly they die or drain potions
Depends on the build. You can make an _incredibly_ powerful party if you focus on synergy rather than individual power. lancer D or just game on low difficulty coz why bother its after all about havijg fun
An incredible game
Still awesome all these years later
In the actual game, this setup versus a dragon isn't an easy kill at all. No healer, archery isnt that good and two melee versus a dragon is pretty bad :P
not really since Morrigan can be made to use a heal spell even without spirit healer.
With Morrigan as healer, it works obviously xD
bladske No spirit healers :P just a regular +50 heals...
Well it's a cinematic after all, not like the game - Morrigan transforming into a spider and chain-overwhelm on 6 hurlocs is also not going to happen xD
Its been years and this trailer is still absolutely incredible. I can't wait to see Morrigan and Leliana again, and congrats Sten on becoming Arishok!
Fucking awesome!! Morrigan is just so awesome the word is cut short!!! I want to play this!
Haha just got it ^^ haven't played it since I'm on finals but once I'm done it's show time. Thanks btw!
Aníron Thank God finals are finally over. ugh
Eric Angal man.... they were rough this time 'round.
Rough indeed, I spent over nine hours answering one of only two questions!
Morrigan is one of the best female characters in gaming history, easily. Maybe only Terra could be considered a better character.
In game Leliana would have missed at 1:49
they need to remake origins with current graphics and gameplay.
No. Because Skyrim EE is a good example why remakes of not that old games are unnecessary cashcowing.
Sorry but current gameplay sucks ass.
RIDDICK0911
Depends. Bring an example.
This game is awesome, one of the best rpg ever made. I can't wait for Inquisition!
This trailer was better than inquisition
This is STILL the best sword and sorcery battle scene out of all games and movies.
after many year and this still the best game i've ever played :>
Leliana and Morrigan are my favorite characters in the whole series
If only the characters actually looked like that.
there is also a mod which brings up what you said "if only the characters actually looked like that"
just how on smart phones you say there is an app for that.
for games such as this... there is actually a mod for this trailer to make your characters look more alike to it.
I prefer the original face design though. Morrigan is way prettier in the game design, Leliana too.
Only if Leliana still looked that cool. Also, back when Qunari were basically Samoans.
I'd like to have Sten in my party more often, he's just such an asshole I can't do my usual nice-guy hero stereotype.
Whenever the Warden appears in future games, they need to get the voice actor from this trailer to do the human male voice
YES!!!
still wish they made a movie like this
Origins was so much better than Inquisition.
+Lone Wolf Except for the ending, everything was goddamn better in the Inquisition.
+reznov316 That's just laughable....horribly false, but laughable.
They NEED to make a full length film of this!
i would pay for a dragon age movie XD
still giving my upvote for a movie remake of this. its perfect movie material maybe in a trilogy format. Id eat it up all day. Origins still has the best overall feel and story.
feeblemind Fuck man I thought this was a movie, was quite disappointed when I realized it's not.
feeblemind agreed, as much as I loved inquisition, origins is the best
We don't need a movie. We already have the games man. They're better than anything Hollywood would regurgitate.
MelanicDisaster You have a point! would be cool to have a movie about the first blight though
there was a movie. "seeker" or something look it up its an officaly licenced one. and decently good as well. tells the story of what took place with cassadra.
This cinematic is the single reason I take Sten in every set up.
I reinstalled Origins last night. Haven't played for over 3 years, but oh I've missed it.
Dragonsoul absorbed
Is it just me, or would the darkspawn have had way more of a chance if the dragon hadn't crushed about a third of their forces?
I'd watch a movie with this animation to it.
Damn, if only the game really did look and play this good. I might have played it more than a couple times through.
Who knew this was peak bioware.
If only killing 'Andraste' was that fucking easy, took me 4 goes before i finaly killed it.
What a fucking game this was
I actually liked the Darkspawn look in this game compared to the more zombified looking corpses that you fight in the sequels.
killerman19880385 Don't quote me cause I have no proof or any backup but my guess was they were too Orcy, which I never thought was a bad thing but maybe they wanted to become there own thing.
Agreed. The darkspawn in Origins had this genuine menace to them, a viciousness that seemed to leap off the screen, but like with everything else in the franchise, the sequels really undermined that and just turned them into generic pseudo-orcs.
they should make a remastered version of this game, with the main character able to speak
Heute sehen und dann nicht traurig sein wozu die Serie geworden ist.. ein Ding der Unmöglichkeit
If only it was that easy to kill a high dragon.
The warden is a confirmed killstealer.
Ha, I think origins does have better graphics
And not just in terms of design
I mean the hurlocks look so bad in 2
The story of the first one always beat the other ones...
ndelta6xxx they also have a better, darker dragon and less cartoonish armour but story-wise I would say that in inquisition is none the less.
e21big
About the armor, it depends on what do you mean by cartoonish.
I just now noticed that Sten is wielding Asala.
I miss this game soooo much! Cant wait for Dragon Age Inquisition in fall of 2014!! :D
the only thing wrong with this trailer is a high dragon going down with 4 power attacks.
Mods.
this is a trailer....so i doubt that they're going to extend the battle.
What about Inquisition?
@@yang6642 Male warrior/rogue Trevelyan. Human is the only logical choice since Thedas is a human-centric universe, and humans are the only ones truly fully involved with Andrastan religion, the other races just don't fit a Andrastan Inquisitor role. Regarding the sex I would say a male (Maxwell) is more logical, than a female, but it can go both ways for Inquisition.
88kjk75 Huh, I quite agree with you on that one. What about romance? I know you said Morrigan for Origins and I agree with that but what about the other two?
@@yang6642 Isabella for DA2, Cassandra or Josephine if Trevelyan is male, Blackwall or Cullen if female.
Female elf romancing Solas also fits Inquisition's story quite well.
i love this trailer
This is still one of my favorite trailers of all time.
Did anyone else find Morrigan totally alluring in this trailer. Sarcastic, unrepentant humor, complete confidence, exotic yet casual beauty, and utter badassery.
ive done something *like* this in skyrim
Back when we have hot chicks in Western video games.
@@mrman6035yeah bro, I miss that times. The times when games was for gamers 😢
Dragon Age Inquisition has as good of gameplay graphics as this cinematic trailer does o___0
2020 😀 and i stillove it
this voice of the warden is good, they can put the warden back with voice
It truly is!! Sadly they didn’t have that voice in
Alright, this is a CINEMATIC trailer, I hope you can at least grasp that. No? Ok. Cinematic means it is there to hype you up for the game, it does not have to be made from animations or graphics of the actual game, it can have shit that you cannot have or do in the game, because it is a CINEMATIC trailer. Not a gameplay one. Got it? Still nothing? Ok...
Archers don't attack that fast!
bullshit!
anyway playing DA:O again and eagerly waiting for inquisition
Rapid Shot(rogue skill)+Haste(mage spell)+Swift salve (potion)+Repeater gloves = Leliana's CGI attack speed. I'm aware that there are some kinds of bugs if you use all of them, but nothing that mods can fix.
mariano Nicolas I did that once without the salves once, let's just say I broke my game....
mariano Nicolas Swift salves and haste don't work with ranged weapons. Rapid shot and repeater gloves work for increasing ranged attack speed, but I wouldn't recommend rapid shot since it removes your ability to crit.
dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Bugs_(Origins)#Ranged_attack_speed_bug
That chick that turns into a Spider comes off as the strongest and most badass of the group
Morrigan .... Of course she is the most badass one, lol
So many years and i'm still obsessed with all dragon age parts, even shit part 2
One of my favorite trailers ever.
I'm so glad they didn't make Leliana and Morrigan look like some emo teens like in this trailer ..
well leliana ya but morrigan looked like that in game tho lol
I don't think she looked much like that because even when I herd her voice I still wasn't sure who she was but then turned into a spider and I was like oh ya that's morrigan haha
Member when BioWare wasn't stuck on stupid? I member.
Morrigan is my favorite. But how are her and Leliana not freezing from hypothermia? Look at what they are wearing? I am surprised their necks and legs are not turning purple.
They are too hot for that.
Point taken
DarkPhoenix222 make a dragon wanna retire man
magic and the makers love keep them warm lol
still one of the best trailers ever...so epic...
Even 4 years on this trailer is still epic
LOL i remember this, i got so hyped to get the game, on the illusion that it was gonna be exactly like the trailer lol the graphics, the combat.... i was disappointed in my own way lol, but the story of the game i LOVED IT! For Inquisition they have to merge the rich story and setting qualities of Origins, with the better combat system and interface of DA2, AND BRING SHAPE-SHIFTING BACK!!
well at the end enemies were this easy 2 kill
John Smith Except for the fucking dragon. If only it could be brought down with a single Lightning Bolt attack. lol
yeah that is true, but their r the balistas all around the edges i just kept my tank next to my rouge to keep away the darkspawn and used them
thinking a game is going to be like a cinematic trailer.. just no >:
Quikie93 After watching the gameplay and graphics to The Order: 1886, I can imagine they will have the ability to make the next Dragon Age game to be like a cinematic trailer. That is IF Inquisition does well enough and EA agrees to make a sequel.
I wonder why alistar is not in trailer? Did he die or something? =w=
sadly most of the original team at bioware are long gone
I remember watching this the first time, still awesome.
whoa, this trailer is three years old, but damn, it was really well done.
It is still incredibly beautiful today, I'm still surprised, lol
