It's more like Goku quotes: *“As you are surely well aware... I’m the saiyan who came all the way from earth with the sole purpose of beating you. I am the warrior you’ve heard of in legends, pure of heart and awakened by fury, that’s what I am... I AM THE SUPER SAIYAN, SON GOKU!!!!”*

I'll never forget the "Tell me, is it slavery when you get what you want?" line. So fuckin' badass. Especially since later we learn he's not a slave at all and overpowers Babadi's magic. Vegeta will forever be my fav character in anime.
Vegeta's speeches are so motivational, inspirational, and awesome. No wonder he's the Prince of all Saiyans! Vegeta's speeches in the Buu Saga never gets old!
This is why Toryama will never understand why people prefer Vegeta over his baby boy Goku, its because Goku is all good while we can see Vegeta in all of us. The quest to always better yourself despite knowing someone is always ahead of you and makes it look easy, the fact that we have to deal with internal turmoil between a pull to the light and a pull to darkness. the fact that real men must be taught the hard way like Vegeta training Cabba with a brutal beatdown instead of Goku flirting with Caulifa
Goku was very similar also to us when he became first time super sayan, when freezer killed krilin, in that moment I felt some empathy for goku, for a while he looked like a real man and not just a caricature or the easy stereotype of the hero which is always in right, but yes for the most he just looked like a shallow character which in the end always wins, or maybe I'm wrong ,maybe Toryiama wanted him to be a simple character but with good values, not a very deep character while Vegeta resembles more that type of complexity

Best quote from Vegeta, Dragonball Super S1 Ep128 “even if I told you, an emotionless bastard like you would never understand…what it means to fight to protect aomething!” Vegeta has the best character development out of any character known to man. Hate him or love him, You can not deny the fact that this is to be true.
He keeps saying he is the prince of all Saiyans. But since the King was murdered I think it’s time we fans of Vegeta change this. Vegeta is from now on The King of All Saiyans! Yes he has grown as a character, and become a better teammate, but the Saiyans still come from the same place. So here’s to you Vegeta, King of All Saiyans🍻Thanks for keeping us motivated and grinding!
@@vincenthammons6705 he's the rightful heir to the throne. Being the son of the king, when the king dies the eldest Prince takes the seat. Doesn't matter if another is stronger, that's just how it is.
@@vincenthammons6705 fair enough. But Goku wouldn't do that, so Vegeta would be king, if he cared to rule a cemetery. (I say Goku because you brought him being stronger than Vegeta.)
The character of Vegeta in Dragon Ball Z is indeed a remarkable one, with a complex and nuanced character arc that makes him one of the most compelling characters in the series. Vegeta starts off as a villain, arrogant and ruthless, obsessed with his own power and status as the prince of the Saiyan race. He is initially focused on obtaining the Dragon Balls in order to wish for immortality and become the strongest warrior in the universe. However, as the series progresses, Vegeta begins to evolve and change. He becomes more introspective and begins to question his own values and beliefs. He begins to realize that there is more to life than just power and domination, and that his obsession with strength and superiority has blinded him to the true meaning of existence. This realization is fueled in part by his interactions with Goku, who he initially sees as a rival and enemy, but eventually comes to respect and even admire. As Vegeta grows and develops, he also begins to build relationships with other characters in the series. He forms a bond with Bulma, whom he eventually marries and has a child with, and becomes a protective and loving father to his son Trunks. He also develops friendships with other members of the Z Fighters, and begins to see them as more than just opponents to be defeated. Perhaps one of the most powerful moments in Vegeta's character arc is when he sacrifices himself to save his family and friends from the destructive power of Majin Buu. This act of selflessness is a turning point for Vegeta, demonstrating his newfound understanding of the importance of love and connection. It is also a poignant moment for viewers, as we see a character who was once a ruthless villain transformed into a hero willing to give his life for the sake of others. Overall, Vegeta's character arc is a testament to the power of growth and transformation. It shows that even the most hardened and ruthless individuals can change and evolve, and that redemption and heroism are always possible.
I think there was one missed from db super when he starts his final retort against toppo, where he says he does this for bulma trunks and bulla, and for his promise to a fellow warrior, and the pride if being a saiyan, and i wont give it all up to play god.
