it's part old theme part new theme put together, unlike the raging brachydios where i just put the theme on top of each other.
IMO the new alatreon theme is more tame compared to the old theme is because the battle is already a chaos. so they focus on the melody more.
so you can hear the theme more clearly among the sound of 🔥, ❄, 🌊, ⚡, dragon , roar and you character actions in the battle
and as to not overwhelm the player with all the bullshit in the fight. So they didn't made it as intense as before because the fight is already intense enough.
the old theme is hype and use so many instruments to hype you up, even tho the fight itself is just upgraded kushala.

@@stepienmaximilian essentially yes, same animations and skeletons (not surprising, they often do that). Couple new moves but most of it using the same animations as kushala, it's "deviljho is just upgraded anja" argument again, even tho they have their own unique things, but they give off the impression of "it's the same monster but more" because they have the same animations with another monsters. That's why i called old alatreon "upgraded kushala"

Sure it uses the Kushala Skeleton. You can see it from the stance and posture. But he moves vastly different. And also has different attacks. Most of it stolen from other Kushala skeleton family members but... i guess thats the point. You can do so much with element/body attacks. I mean... how can you make a fire beam different? Dravonista The theme is more tame here to reflect Alatreon’s age. This Alatreon could use Water and its weaknesses changed according to its active element; this implies it has mastered its instability, which is further implied by the fact that it can change its element type at will.
World’s Alatreon is older, more controlled, and less chaotic than its OG variant. As a result, its theme reflects this calmer display of sheer hatred.
Drake Petty I don’t really think it’s smaller, but consider that Xeno’jiiva called dying elder dragons to its location to feed upon their energy. A stronger Xeno, then, i.e. Safi, would call upon stronger elder dragons to feed upon, wouldn’t they?

New theme ain't bad by any stretch, but man, the old theme mixed in really fills out the gaps and the end result is pure bliss.

I think the old theme is better because its more chaotic and intense but i like this one just as much.

The moment in the cutscene when he notices you is so intimidatingly good.
Now all he needs is a choir, and this would be absolute perfection. Honestly surprised that such an infamous and powerful elder dragon didn’t get the dark souls treatment, like Raging Brachy, Kulve Tarrot, and Safi did with their themes

Nah. This medley does enough justice for both themes as is. Choirs felt so out of place for Raging Brachy, when the Iceborne mix before it was just marvelous on its own.
Arannis Salazar I think you’re the first person ever to dislike the choir in raging brachy’s theme (nothing wrong with that btw). I loved the edition of the choir; it made the fight feel so much more grandiose and intense. I dunno man, maybe it’s just because I’m a big dark souls nerd and have grown incredibly fond of choirs.
@@cripplingdepression3366 I'm a big fan of Soulsborne myself and played the trilogy, as well as Bloodborne, which is my favorite of the four. I only found it fitting there for the fights there. I also find them fitting for the likes of the Fatalis trio, but, to me it feels so out of place for Raging Brachydios, and as for Alatreon, the chaotic nature of its fight and theme is already encapsulated well enough, albeit it lacks the guitar that provided that sharp contrast from 3rd gen.
A choir beautifully suits someone like Pontiff Sulyvahn, but a chaotic force like Alatreon? I can't say I agree.
But this is just my perspective
There is some level of like, savagery when it comes to this monster. The theme always adds in this feeling of terror and panic that makes it feel like you're not really there to kill alatreon, but survive
Aside from some small desyncs, this is actually so good, the themes complement each other, the old theme gives it power and strength for parts where the new one lacks it, the new one gives epicness and a regal feel to the theme overall, together they fit Alatreons image perfectly.
My favorite part of Alatreon’s theme is the distinct transition of the instruments representing each of its elements

The new theme has the best version of that part but mixing it with electric guitar of the old theme makes it even better
Idk what about the mixing does, or how ya do it, but it sounds so damn good together that it feels like Alatreon's theme song is scared of it.
Ah if only we could have these themes all together in one glorious monster like alatreon. The more chaos for the blazing black dragon the better, especially with how powerful and painful he is, here's to many more years of monster hunter!
Nah, Iceborne's Alatreon isn't chaotic. He has full control.

The fight is absolute hell (in World, haven’t had the chance to play Tri), solo or with other players, but man I can never quite get bored of this theme.
It disgusts me how arrogantly he carries himself when he walks. He outright _struts_ as he approaches the hunters, and then proceeds to light goddamn _everything_ on fire, _just so he can look more menacing._
On a more related note, this here? This is what the new theme should have sounded like. I'll just mute the in-game music and play this next time I fight him.

Its good armor for him has true crit element just use a ice weapon with it for fire active Alatreon and use a fire weapon for ice active Alatreon.

He leaps into the air, burning everything around him all the while. Finally, the elements cease their cries of rage, he lands to take in the devastation around him. This... is why he cannot live in the natural order. He must stay in these secluded places, lest he destroy everything around him. Finally he senses the presence next to him.
What's this? A hunter dares to face the elements incarnate? Does it have a death wish? Just as the ones that came before, he knows that this one shall fall all the same. Whether it be disintegrated into ashes from the raging flame... Drowned in the torrents of the churning waters... Left as a frozen statue from the calm fury of the ice... Struck from the fury of the thunderstorm... Or torn apart by the claws of the Dragon... All perish against the might of nature incarnate.

My only problem with both themes is only at 1:55 - 2:29 does the fight feel like it's urgent that you kill them here and kill them before the do something like the Judgement. It's also the only part where it feels more like an actual theme song and not just cool background music.

Once you’ve been him enough times your element just sores into the thousands if you use his armor that is
Safi armor really helps with solo. It has great offense with balanced element defense. Not good enough to survive escation judgment tho. Rock them ele def jewels.
