SASKATOON PLANE SPOTTING! John G. Diefenbaker International Airport (YXE) [4K]

- Saskatoon John G. Diefenbaker International Airport is the busiest airport in the province of Saskatchewan, serving nearly 1.5 million passengers in 2019.
It's home to local carrier Rise Air, which was formed just a few years ago by the merger of Transwest Air and West Wind Aviation. It also has a solid amount of traffic from Canada's major carriers, including Air Canada, Flair, and WestJet.
I spent a night here in early May 2022, and managed to capture some of Saskatoon's regular action!

Hi i live in saskatoon. Hope you come here more!
Ayyy that’s my city!
I know it’s not exactly simple, but I would love to see a vid Nova Scotia. Weather it be a flight to Halifax, plane spotting at Halifax or both, it would be cool to see my home province get more recognition on the internet. I totally understand it’s not just that simple though :)
This summer! 👀
@@AlexPraglowskiAviation Nice! I’m looking forward to seeing what you think of our airport, as well as some YHZ plane spotting!
@@AlexPraglowskiAviation come check out some c17, P-3s, C-130s and CH-149 Cormorant at Greenwood CFB, CYZX.
*Oh and me in the 172 trying to fit in the traffic pattern with the p-3s all day long
Saskatchewan Air Ambulance is celebrating 76 years in service, the oldest civilian air ambulance service in North America, based in YXE!
A fitting end to the video. My favourite plane taking off into the sunset. Nice.

Hey Alex, just curious when did you film this?? Especially the RiseAir KingAir 200 (GABF) from FlinFlon.
First week of May I believe!
Stunning capturing 👌
Awesome!
Looking very nice...
That was so nice as the day got warmer and the fog was gone!!!!
Sweet video
Didn't know CargoJet had a 757... nice.
Nice video from my favourite city in the world. I first started spotting there in 1970 but sadly don't have any notes from those days. I do recall the Air Canada DC9s, and the occasional Viscount, Vanguard and DC8. There were a few Norcanair DC3s, Wardair with their B727 and B707 and Transwest with 748s and their YS11 and I'm sure I recall Pacific Western with a B707. Happy days.
Welcome to YXE!
Can you please make a yul plan3 spotting
Used to live there, left cuz winters were wayyyy to long like 6 months
You need to do a fly in to Thunder Bay sometime YQT spectacular approach from the east over Superior

By chance were you filming at Fort McMurray International Airport June 2nd?
Why does the dash 8 taxi with spoilers raised?
Any idea how I can get a glimpse of the Fokker jets at saskatoon airport?
Most of them are parked airside of the hanger, but they have had some parked on the grass where Thayer Ave and Wayne Hicks Lane meet
Just curious re the AC A220-300, what is your source for the -371 model number? I haven't seen that before and it's not used in the Transport Canada aircraft register.
Also, in similar videos of less familiar airports, would be good if you could include some footage of the terminal building.
I live very close to YXE and didn't even realize that we had A220's flying here
What location were you spotting at?
