As a fan of dirt late model racing this is a great interview to see. So much information and nuances surrounding a very complex car built by a competitive team. Well done iRacing.
This was a cool interview. When the interviewer mentioned what dirt tracks are on I-Racing & named a handful of dirt tracks but does anybody know if the Canadian dirt track “Oshweken Speedway” is on I-Racing? Oshweken for those who don’t know is a very well known dirt track just outside of Hamilton,Ontario,Canada & many American drivers have raced at “Oshweken Speedway” such as Tony Stewart who won his first ever American 360 Sprint dirt car race at “Oshweken” because Oshweken was on the 360 dirt sprint schedule & other notable names such as Kasey Kahne-Kyle Larson-Steve Kinser-Ken Schrader etc. Ken Schrader actually won a race at Oshweken this past summer in a Nascar Pinty’s Series stock-car.
So I'm confused, was the car that was scanned into the sim a black diamond or a club 29? Were club 29's just what CBR was running when this was filmed?
@ItzMikeOmg bs, you can have all the hp you want...if you don't have grip or are handling you cannot put.all that hp down. Biggest misconception in racing.
@ItzMikeOmg OK hard head. If you can get.all that poer down then good but most the time a super late model cannot due to traction. When some of the super late model drivers on the LOLMS and WoO used restricter plates so they can run lower HP and have better traction I guess that is so they can be out run. Chris Madden run a plate in 2 of the 3 big races he won earlier this year and he was the fastest car on track...by far ! I understand many of you are misled by that bs and if you want to be that naive then that's ok, there are more than just you that are dumb enough to think that way.
@ItzMikeOmg On a tacky track in the heats, HP is hard to beat. Come feature time when the track is so shiny you need sunglasses, brain to foot will win more races than depending on overwhelming HP.
Idk man it does like it is a blue screen now that I'm focusing on it. Also, they make no reference or even look over once at the alleged car that is in the garage
@@fatherfruit Now that you mention it, what active garage is that clean? Barely can walk through mine with one project overlapping another and here I sit on You Tube!
Because the cassie over time can create cracks and bends and is not true for a proper setup but if you run a little bullring with a lot of beating and banging it's all good to run an older cassie but don't expect to be competitive at the big E
10 years ago you could fight in the top 10-15 of these series with a car worth 20-25K, no chance of even making shows with these 80-90k cars, they really let these cars get out of hand.
Dylan Murray no you use to not need that much money to run a super. I’m not running with the lower talent in crates and getting my stuff tore up all the time as always happens in those races.
@@driver8703 That's because technology hasn't gotten more advanced. That's part of life. As for crates? Some of the best drivers in the nation run crates. If you are getting your stuff tore up every week, you should chdck and make sure it's not your own fault.
Dylan Murray don’t talk at me like I don’t know about the world of dirt late model, I raced one for 11 years in the midsouth area, racing with the MSRA on occasion. All on a small budget but hardly ever nit qualifying for a show I went to. Those days are over with cup size crews and shock dynos in trailers. And in this area crate drivers are absolute trash, there is the exception but most made the jump from stock cars which is where they belong. And I can assure you that my car getting tore up was not of my doing. Now go troll someone else, I ever asked for your opinion nor do I care for it.
@@driver8703 I'm from the Mid South as well, and the crate late model racing is great. Most are just as capable as super drivers, but can't afford to run one. There are a few bad eggs, but only a few.
I think one of these guys just got kicked out of a hosted plate race I was just in. Don't know why or what for but I doubted it because the guys name was "ClintBowyer Racing" and you're not allowed to use names like that, and other pro drivers use their actual names like you're supposed to. I see Tony Stewart from time to time and he uses his actual name. But now that I see this video, maybe it was Clint or someone in his crew. Go figure.
From my understanding is they have a rig at the shop they use and the name of the account is Clintbowyer Racing. Could be misinformation but just what i heard
They don't expire but usually common sense would tell someone 3 weeks after someone tells me its dynamic I would know that. But I understand some have to add to it just so they can say something and or see their name. 👍
ya if iracing wood had left everything only the last few years and sprints , wood had been like it post to be , tony clint bell , hard work makign the car setups real life close as they can then year later iracing updates it, cars sucks now, bad bad ,

People who don't know about dirt latemodels wouldn't realize just how complex a dirt latemodels are
Compared to street stocks it's a whole new world.
Great interview, thanks iRacing
This is an awesome interview. I must confess that my version of nascar 2000 allowed me to have full mods. I feel so bad that it got lost along the way
All this info didn't help me a lick because I'm an idiot, but I sure did enjoy it.
same
Birdcage indexing is everything on a four bar suspension, and knowing that doing one adjustment, changes eleven things on the car.
Oh great interview with former pro driver Anthony Burroughs! Bubble boy

This was really awesome!
Bowyer is a gift from god
so is Michael Waltrip, but more
If God doesn't exist, what's the point of living? He is definitely real to me
John 3:16 -- God exist and wants to be in your life
Not to whatifracing and maybe kamikaze

would love to see this on a GTE car, LMP1 if they would allow this much detail. really any road car haha
Great video, thanks!
Very informative video, most setup information interviews are vague.
Excellent info. Thanks for this!
Great video, Thank you.
Man, I wish we had the attention and desire to improve this car nowadays.
Wow a Ford fusion!!! I want one.
Brilliant!
When is the new damage coming out?
I just want to say something it does not cost 80-90 thousand to have a competitive car if your looking to run at a local track you need far less

is it just me or are they infront of a green screen? 🤔
Father Fruit It’s just you.
smurphy1977 i meannnn that background looks hella fake

I hang some at Rocket and CBs shop and it is that clean, all the time...
Just the car you can pick up for about 10,000 if you buy used because why would you buy a brand new car to beat up
Because the cassie over time can create cracks and bends and is not true for a proper setup but if you run a little bullring with a lot of beating and banging it's all good to run an older cassie but don't expect to be competitive at the big E
i only have one question that wasn't asked by Steve and thats does it doom?
If they are changing that much during a night of racing, no wonder they don't run any better than they do.

That's why they are Super Late Models. Open motor rule. If you want one cheaper, run a steelhead, 604 crate, 602 sportsman, etc.

they run 18 degrees camber in the rf...all we can run is like 6-7...wtf iRacing ??
Dynamic Camber.
Look up what dynamic camber is, 18 degrees is under load in the turn. The 6-7 in iracing is static.
