Hey! This is my first BTS KPOP reaction ever. In this reaction, I'm reacting to Run BTS Dance Practice by BTS for the first time!

Here is some more info. Run BTS was a song released on their anthology album called Proof that came out June 2022 and BTS has only performed it live once at their Yet To Come Busan concert in October 2022 (you should check out the performance too), their final BTS concert before they enlisted in the military. I love J-Hope shouting out all the members names during his part. And I love at the end when RM is standing in the center being the leader and the 3 youngest are on 1 side and the 3 oldest are on the other side. For pretty much every song that has choreography they will have a dance practice with it. This way fans can see the complete choreography because sometimes in music videos or performances you don't see the complete choreography and some fans will even learn the dances and do covers of them. The members can definitely share their input when it comes to choreography but they work with in house choreographers and other choreographers as well.
There is no MV for Run BTS only this practice video and the live version from the Busan Yet To Come Concert which was the concert the did on behalf of the South Korean for the World EXP Bid. BTS and HYBE ended up paying for the concert making the stadium safe and did it all for free. I watched it on the worldwide live link then again at the cinema's. So to see this live you can view it on their official UA-cam channel.
They record all their dance practices and use them for camera and for checking what needs more practice etc. They have load of behind the scenes or shooting MV's.
They have in house choreographers, particularly one who has always been there with bts and sometimes they also have parts from freelance choreographers which are then put together by the in house choreographers. But jhope and jimin, the main dancers sometimes do come up with some moves or their ideas in performance direction. Jimin specifically likes to give his ideas a lot in his solo projects that has contemporary or modern dance. Jhope likes to do a lot of freestyle and there are songs with his freestyle parts so it's different in every performance
Bts has best dancers in kpop : jhope, jimin , V and jk ( they are dance line BTS) and all rest members so amazing 🔥💜💜
Their variety show is called Run BTS, yes. Not sure I would call it small with approx 150 episodes. It is hilarious and you get to see their personalities and goofiness 😂 If you are ever having a bad day, 5 mins of watching them has you laughing your #### off. The whole series is now on UA-cam.
Live BTS will blow your mind, get ready
This was practice for their last concert, a free one in Busan, in Oct 2022
They used to use a stationary camera, which I actually prefer. They bring in outside choreographers and have an in house team for the actual choreography. They also tweak things if it doesn’t quite work right for them. They’ve been doing this long enough that they’re great at monitoring their work and pointing issues out without egos getting in the way. There’s a great behind the scenes for the prep for the Busan concert where you can really see this. It’s impressive.
Part of the fun you’re seeing is that they hadn’t added new choreo like this in a long time. Plus they had been on hiatus and hadn’t had big rehearsals like this. They’ve talked about how happy they were to come together again to practice like this. They were showing up early, taking extra time to learn it if they felt like it was necessary, just really happy to be working as a team.
Mic Drop and Run BTS from the Busan concert will blow your mind. The pyro in Mic Drop will hype you up, it’s my favorite performance of Mic Drop. They go hard in these songs, like the rent is due. If you are able to, I’d recommend doing both songs at the same time because they just run right from the first one to the second one.

you should see this live, Yet to Come concert in Busan. there is a dance practice video for almost every big performance song. also, to get a better idea of how hard they work, there is a dance by 3J ( J hope, Jimin and JK), to butter remix Meagan three stallion. they dance to her rap and you get a feel for how hard they work and how perfect they want it to be.
Yes BTS reality content is so great because they cope with the lack of time off, death threats, not seeing family etc with laughter really affectionate brotherhood, teasing and competition. You cannot script these goofy boys as they are chaos incarnated.
They are very fond of having titles that are similar. So they have a 2015 song Run by BTS, 2022 Run BTS by BTS, and both songs have been used as opening theme music for their self produced variety show Run BTS!
Actually dance practice videos are actually very common in K-pop basically every title track for basically every group will have a dance practice. There will even be dance practices for b-side tracks if they’re popular enough.
Important to remember only J Hope and Jimin were dancers. The rest had to learn. Jin was 20 getting a BA at Konkuk University studying film and acting with 0 interest in dancing or singing at the start. He signed to Big Hit to be an actor. Then Bang Si Hyuk persuaded him heavily. He graduated with his degree, but we saw him shed tears and he was full of self doubt for years before becoming WWH.

To learn each of them, it helps at first to listen for their unique voices and then put the face with it. Obviously, RM, SUGA, J-Hope, V, Jimin are quite recognizable at first. Then Jung Kook is in everything and Jin has the beautiful high voice. You'll learn - takes time. Pretty soon, you'll recognize them from the back.
I really enjoyed your reaction to this track. Other commenters have answered most of your question so I will try to be brief. Where a track has choreo (most do) it is normal for them to release the MV, perhaps several live performances, and a dance practice. It's easy to find with a simple search. BTS as a matter of routine offer a vast amount of material for us, including a LOT of behind the scenes material, including discussions showing how they have dealt with issues the group has faced. They are and always have been incredibly open. Of course they do want to present their best side to fans, but have always been very open about any weaknesses .... including showing examples of in-group disputes and how they have been resolved.
It may now be time for you to explore Taylor Mari's excellent Bangtan Seven summary which gives a very compact history of the group and their different individualities.
They have indeed always spent hours practicing. In their early years. leading up to a new release, they would spend 16 hours/day in the dance studio, though they say they can now usually do it in about 10h/d. Sometimes, though, it will take more work, or one individual feels they need more help and will arrange for that.
The band sees each other as brothers and - despite intense scrutiny for the last 11 years or more - I've never seen any sign of ego.
It is simply a fan servis, it may sound weird bc we as fun simply don't think about it bc dance practice was somthing that was always there but it is fan servis in the end, it is video to see your favs dancing, it is video to let you learn moves if you want, it is video to let you see choreo cleary without all camera jumping, lights and smoke that usually are part of live performance, give you more content to connect with artist, see hard work they put, etc, but in the end it is for fans to have somethings nice to watch and to hype the song.

Danger - an early song with really tight, energetic choreo and unmatched synchronisation, and
Mic Drop - a practice for a stage performance with an extended dance break section.
I recommend SB19, a P-Pop boyband, won several international awards. They are “live vocal monsters” and excellent dancers.

BTS participate in writing, composing and production of their songs. Especially the rappers RM, Suga and J Hope.. they each have an area of specialisation. Like RM is more focused on Songwriting Suga on Producing, J Hope on Dance and all of them in composing the music.
To answer your question, yes BTS have in-house producers and choreographers however as dance captain JHope or vice captain Jimin can and do give their opinions on the choreography. They guide the other members when learning the dance.
As for how they remember it, if you write your own music and if you practice it hundreds of times you do remember it. Also for older songs, if they have to perform it after a long time they do a quick refresher practice of it.

BTS uses choreographers. They will add or modify. They frequently have to modify for special performances--stages may be a different shape or much smaller. For example, Saturday Night Live stage is tiny, but they still did choreography for Mic Drop. There are behind the stage footage of them working it out. J-hope, as dance leader, directs the changes. Members can make suggestions, so it is a collaborative effort with J-hope having the final word.
This dance was choreographed by Sienna Lalau. She also did ON: Kinetic Manifesto.
They have dance practice to most of their very heavy choerographed songs! And the normally have at least one like that for every comeback. Just look them up in their channel BangtanTV.

This is the Live version of "Mic Drop" and "Run BTS".... It is the opening of their last concert in Busan (before military service). OBS: they do these two heavy dancing songs one after the other without paus!!!! (The stamina they have, my God! )
Didn’t read the comments below. Their Dance moves were done by their DANCE MASTER. WHO HAS BEEN WITH THEM SINCE…….2016. Far as I know. So let’s keep it truthful. He choreographed………………………..their Dance Master. Aka their { lead dancer} …..JHope. Learned the dances…then taught it to his brothers. And he was FRUSTRATED…..BEYOND TIRED…..

They Hire outside choreographers, and then their inside choreographers team and themselfs adjust some details or parts they feel work better in diferent ways and moments for a performance.
You should watch Taylor Mari's Guide to BTS: The Bangtan 7. It gives a more in depth look at the group and each of the boys.
Uploading dance choreo is a Kpop norm. There's even a VTuber kpop group who has them and you can hear their shoes and their voices, so while you see their virtual avatars, you can hear them inside of their motion capture studio room as they dance with motion capture tracking on.
Dance practice videos are made to show off the choreography specifically.

@@mambuchaa You must be kidding! Are you putting V above Jimin and JK? Fancams from all groups don't talk about talent, and usually, the visuals get more views. In one of the latest episodes of BTS, they all named only the 3 J's as the best dancers in BTS. V has a ton of issues with his technique; he's not a clean dancer, he looks heavy (not in weight but in terms of dancing), he has bad lines and problems with footwork. Poor energy management and bad body control. So don't be ridiculous.
