Agreed.Soooo many People did not understood that album as they were expecting another happy go lucky Helloween...Nevertheless it is great piece of music(lp) where you could find all sorts of influences(that it is why called chameleon):)
Helloween Lyrics [Words and Music by Michael Weikath] [INTRO: Michael Weikath] Strong and invincible, they know every rule, Seems inconceivable anything they do. They made us their slaves - we weren't unified, Ever since we paid for selling our lives. Someday, someway, I may see a wonderland, Don't you, won't you say that we'll be free again. Deprived of our consciousness, we can't predict what's more, Can you remember how things used to be before? I secretly dream of things we will be taught, Will someone esteem for those who have fought? Someday, someway, I may see a wonderland, Don't you, won't you say that we'll be free again. [Solo: Roland Grapow and Michael Weikath] Strong and invincible, they know every rule, Seems inconceivable anything they do. Deep in our hearts we hope our dreams come true, The only thing is "What are we to do?" Someday, someway, I may see a wonderland, Don't you, won't you say that we'll be free again. Won't you say it ... Can't you feel it ..?
For me, this Chameleon album is completely underrated, the band's best record. There are rich, very interesting arrangements, it is simply an absolutely exceptional and elaborate album in every way.
definitely not their best imo, but it contains some of their best and most emotionally impactful songs like this one, i believe, longing, revolution now and music
Call me crazy but this song sounds more like Master of the Rings. This album sounds so mature that make me a little sad to think it was the farewell for Kiske.
The main problem with Chameleon was how inconsistent it sounded. Every great track like Giants was surrounded by something totally left-field and un-Helloweenish like Windmill
@@mezykin they themselves said it's a three-piece solo album, with each writer (Weikath,Kiske,Grapow) writing whatever they felt like without any regards to an ongoing theme throughout the whole album. Still, if we look at the songs individually, most of them quite solid. Some lyrics are silly or stupid, but that's helloween for ya. The production is incredible, and the performances are exceptional, especially vocals and guitar solos.
A long-ago corrupted monarch has taken over the universe and is attacking every corner. His mind is a jerk, but his telekinesis is very strong !! The problem is that too much time has passed on to the present with history, while too many people have passed on knowledge to that being !!
Even if it's fed a lot, I don't think it's feeding people if anyone sees and hears it, so what should I do with the land where it's accepted? I'm the answer to the world, and I live in a country of arrogant monarchs, and they want a world of silence
The laws and governing philosophy of the state should be decided purely by the people in consultation, and if there are any problems, they should be amended and supplemented purely by the people themselves !!
One song?Well,if you are only listening that kind of music...I got so many friends who were mesmerized by virtuosity of those tunes no matter what genres it was...Mysic is music...If you are open enough you will get it...If not listen to just one genre and be happy anyway.Nothing wrong with that either
Nah. This whole album us actually damned good, just not the Power/Speed metal that they'd done up to this point. This is a great song and When The Sinner is a superb song, and a good example of horns actually making a song heavier. My only gripe is the fact that Ingo's drums were buried in the mix on much of the album, Giants in particular. He's doing solid double kicks throughout, but you have to strain to hear them.
Giants is the most incredible song of all helloween !
The voice of micheal kiske is magic and the instruments are melodics

No doubt. Giants is surely their best song.
Wow, Chameleon is very, very underrated. There are some nice pieces of Power Metal.

There is no power metal on Chameleon. It has wide array of different musical styles but power metal is not one of them!
Porque no es Metal, sencillo
Da hast du so recht !!!
Its very inconsistent, but when it hits it HITS.

I like the bassline....incredible
This songs sends chills down my spine from day one I heard it. It's absolutely fantastic.
kiske's vibrato and power picking at the end gives you goosebumps ! 30 years old song that still gives you chills ... its good stuff man !
This song is a fucking masterpiece
Melhor música do disco! Simplesmente emocionante!!
One of the best memories of my youth!
Absolutely amazing song. 🤘
The production on this album is amazing. Well-balanced mix, crystal-clear sound. Kiske never sounded better
Masterpiece.....
Michael Weikath is a real metal guitarist, he is the real keeper of Helloween
One of the best Helloween songs ever!
giants e a melhor musica do chamaleon
Michael Weikath is the composer of this song

One of the most special albums from Helloween. I hope Noise Records returns really back under BMG flag in addition to re-issues.
Underrated.
Obra maestra. Indistinto del álbum al que hayan pertenecido.

My Favorite Twin Guitar Solo Performance
Que temazo por favor. Epico
Great song
Best song in the world.
Rock music is a very unpopular non-mainstream genre in Korea, so it's hard for me to find a sound source of this beautiful rock music
Middle section is from Guardians, it’s just slowed down.
Prawdziwi giganci!!!
Helloween - Giants.
Sounds like it was about Nouse records. Ironic that Noise has put this up, considering the court case etc

ONLY REAL HUMANS ADORE HELLOWEEN.
I've loved Helloween for years and I had neaver really listened to this album. Big mistake
Sunday...Where are you?

Dark Universe Space vs Blackhole then who is the winner ? :p
100 I will like that one
Guitar tuned in Eb lml
Ted Mosby's favorite Helloween album.

Show 🤘🏻
This song should've ended on Master Of The Rings or one of the Keepers, not Chameleon! -_-
Who cares, at least this album has one great song!
I thought the whole album was great .

Strange how such an amazing song can be on such a bad album.
Whatever
The album isn't that bad .

You've been down too long in the midnight sea
It's a great album. What you talking about?
Es un album diseñado para chicas

This could be a Bon Jovi song.
Hahaha, I don't imagine it :'D, I find it very different from what BJ does. Although if it was true I don't see how this could be a bad thing ;).
Marco A. No wait, nothing about this, this band more best than Bon Jovi, sorry but is the true, greetings from Mexico ;)
I can't imagine BJ hit the high notes in this song.
Uma das melhores do Chameleon junto com Windmill, First Time e I Don't Wanna Cry No More.
