The actions of Minister Bala towards workers on Australian farms when the program first began reveal his true character. He is described as corrupt, deceitful, and untrustworthy. The initial group of workers sent to Australia were subjected to mistreatment and cheated out of their wages. There was no transparency about living conditions, pay rates, rental costs, and other expenses, leaving workers with meager sums like $20, $50, or $100 at the end. Many workers chose to flee due to these conditions. Minister Bala supported this program then, and similar issues persist today but in a nice way.
