Interesting summation. However, the statement regarding removal of the headress' royal insignia upon the death of her husband Amenhotep III as a sign of her "demotion," is not substantiated by iconographic evidence. As widows, Queens retained their royal status with the additional title of king's mother, if their son became ruler. Queen Tiye was elevated to the status of a goddess by her husband, with a temple devoted to her worship in Nubia. There, she was worshiped as a manifestation of the Goddess Hathor, a goddess symbolized by a crown with a sun disk between two horns and feathers.

Where “the Aten” would have been depicted as just the (sun) disk, without the other stuff, like a halo behind Queen Tiye head. 🌞 “The Aten”. I understand that Queen Mother was very supportive of her son’s unconventional views. Where do you think he learned them? 😉

The headdress she is wearing was also worn by her daughter Sitamun as well as Ankhesenamun. It’s typically referred to as a Nubian wig.

@@lashid4u371 Yes, the visible headdress is in the Nubian style with additional motifs, like the double feathers, signifying her semi-divine and royal status. The original headdress is silver of the khat type, but as you noted, it was later covered by new regalia that emulates a type of crown only worn by great royal wives of the 18th and 19th Dynasties. Her titles included, among others, Great Royal Wife, Lady of The Two Lands, Mistress of Upper and Lower Egypt, and later, King's Mother. She was the grandmother of King Tutankhamun.

"By 2010, DNA analysis, sponsored by the Secretary General of the Egyptian Supreme Council of Antiquities Zahi Hawass, was able to formally identify the Elder Lady as Queen Tiye.[26] She was found to be about 40-50 years old at the time of her death, and 145 cm (4 ft 9 in) tall.[27] DNA results published in 2020 revealed that Tiye had the mtDNA haplogroup K (as did her mother, Thuya). Tiye's father Yuya was found to have the Y-DNA haplogroup G2a and mtDNA haplogroup K.[28][29]" "Haplogroup K appears in Central Europe, Southern Europe, Northern Europe, North Africa, the Horn of Africa, South Asia and West Asia and in populations with such an ancestry. Overall the mtDNA haplogroup K is found in about 6% of the population of Europe and the Near East, but it is more common in certain populations." G2a, is a subclade of G-M201, which "is most commonly found among various ethnic groups of the Caucasus, but is also widely distributed at low frequencies among ethnic groups throughout Europe, South Asia, Central Asia, and North Africa." - Wikipedia

Don’t forget the persians, assyrians, greeks, and romans, and lastly arabs, also many tribes left ancient egypt during those invasions only ones left are the indigenous nubians, it makes me angry how those descendants of greeks and arabs claim ancient egypt when the ancient greeks described Egyptians of that time as black with wooly hair.

It was immediately interesting to hear how her status changed relative to the men in her life.. It seems like what you'd expect of a female historical figure, but this is contemporary for some.
Definitely co-signing how unapproachable see seems. She doesn't seem mean, per se, but you can tell she was high-status and not to be trifled with, lol. I see focus, wisdom, determination, and no-nonsense.
The headdress is unbelievable. I can only imagine what it would've looked like on her head as she wore that expression. It's beautiful (and so was she).

God will judge those who are awful parents & children but the Command comes with no stipulations. You can still follow God’s commandment even if they are not worthy & God will honor the childs faithfulness.
