Flight disruptions continue despite WestJet strike ending

WestJet travellers are still struggling to find alternative ways to their destinations as more flight cancellations and delays are expected. Silvia Naranjo reports.

Buy trip cancellation insurance, folks! $40-80 extra dollars will save you thousands. I had a flight cancelled and was fully refunded, provided meal vouchers/coupons, put up in a hotel/shuttled for free.

I bet some of these stranded passengers, have gone on strike once or more than once in the live time.

Someone should sue the union for what they did. People should lawyer up and file a class action lawsuit against the union. If I ran Westjet I would look out these employees for a month after what they did.

Fun fact: Union workers reject a 22% wage increase, pick the perfect time to strike to cost travellers thousands of dollars (which is NOT a minor inconvenience). Then after the damage is already done, the union workers agree to a 23.5% wage increase to end the strike. That extra 1.5% must be awfully important to them given they already make $60-90k a year! So who's the malicious greedy ones here??
