The old animation is so superior to anything we have now. I recognized the quality back then, and when the animation of the 1970s came out I was disgusted by the lack of quality. The 1960s was transition....some good some not so good. I have Christmas in Connecticut on DVD after first seeing it years ago on Turner's Classic Movies. I watch it every year and has become a tradition.
Oh,cmon now. Really?? If I were able to show Todays animation, etc to folks from this era their mouths would drop and NEVER close. I understand a desire for the last but lets not be our great grandparents and ignore the greatness of the present!😅
Dear, when you get older, you will look back on some things in your past that I hope had more heart and Love to them. Material things may glitter like gold, but you won’t have any of that in the grave, or wherever your material body lands (ashes or water, or whole. You don’t know any of this yet, but you will. 😊 ❤️❤️❤️❤️ ✌🏼💜
Sure do! We lived a block and a half from the Colony Theatre in Toledo, Ohio. We'd all scrounge up a quarter and head up to watch a movie and cartoons all day!
Que hermosos programas......que hasta que en los 60´s hubo tv en mi pueblo, se pudieron admirar....seguramente. No cabe duda que el espiritu navideño tenía sentido del humor y era romantico a la vez.
Oh! This is so nice!! Those wonderful actor and actresses who were at least publicly the model of good manners, civility, and good acting. And, the cartoons. Just plain entertainment! Thanks for creating and posting this lighthearted stroll down memory lane. Blessed and properous New Year 2024 to one and all! 🙏💕😊 oh! My goodness! I just finished the entire video. That little movie was so heart-warming. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for sharing it! Night prayers?! Kindness?! That little movie was pure loveliness! 🙏💕🙏💕
@josephforest7605 What an interesting observation. But sounds about right in these days and times. Working one job in retail and another as a desk night clerk for a retirement home challenges my sensibilities; but, personally, being an introvert who would rather distance myself from interactions with people, I try to be kind to everyone who crosses my path. Take care and remain kind. Blessings!
If you really want to dig into history Christmas is based on a Roman celebration during December… but it doesn’t really matter as long as people enjoy it..
Why would he celebrate his own birthday? Do you expect him to throw himself a party? I'm sure he did acknowledge his birthday in order to know his own age but they wouldn't be calling it "Christmas" now would they? (How old are you?) Setting aside a day to celebrate an event does not have to coincide with its actual occurrance. Ask anyone born on February 29th.
If Jesus hadn’t come, all Christians would still be Jewish!! I’ve always thought we should celebrate all of those Holy days combined. I have been part of celebrating Hanukkah 🕎, luckily.😊 God is Love ❤️ We are here to learn to Love each other. God Bless you & Shalom!! ❤❤✌🏼💜
Scroooge with Alistair Sim is the best version of A Christmas Carol. I watch it every year.
If only it was like this now
Loved this. There's something about the sound of the music back then.... no other like it. The Chip & Dale with Donald Duck was great!

@@marklauzon186 Yes, computers can do a lot but the hand painted animation is a joy to behold.
@@marklauzon186 Yes, really. Unless you lived in that time, you can't understand. Today's computer-generated cartoons lack the human-factor.

Good manners and civility , it is easier today to find a pound of gold in the desert , than it is to find good manners and civility today .

Jesus wasn't born on 24/25th of December and he didn't celebrate Christmas he celebrated Hanukkah! Look it up in the bible!
Better do a little research troll.
Doesn’t matter to any of us.
Jesus doesn't expect those who aren't Jewish to celebrate Hanukkah. Besides, they're two entirely different holidays.
