I've found your videos very helpful, thank you! I started using Audacity years ago but have to say I couldn't make my videos without Audition, it makes my untrained and wobbly voice almost listenable. :)
After a bit of a learning curve, I do find Adobe Audition to be the best, altho Audacity is also great for doing VO. I tried Reaper but it's more than I need (also a steep learning curve). I did use WavePad for a bit but just as you mentioned, but it does lack some features that AA does have. The "real-time" features are a great benefit. I believe AA is well worth the monthly subscription of $23 (that's what I pay).

Audacity DOES have real-time effects preview, you are wrong sir. It even has free AI tools, have you tried it or did AI do your research?
