Finding a band like this back then was only by word of mouth or something similar. I went to a King Sunny Ade concert in Los Angeles and saw someone I knew in the crowd. He had a cool band t-shirt on and I asked what band it was. "Meat Puppets!" he replied. That and their appearance on KCRW made me a lifelong fan. Glad they're still out there, making music.

I was on a semester abroad in Munich in the fall of 1987. The show was in October or November. I'm guessing the set list was probably similar to this.
